The Sustainability Project is a Singapore-based business which aims to encourage and inspire the adoption of low or zero waste lifestyle in your life. This is done through 3 arms – Educate, Transform and Inspire. Educate - We first started off as a blog in June 2017 to share our knowledge and passion towards sustainability. In our blog, you can find tips on how to lead a sustainable lifestyle, chats with other green business owners and any other relevant information about sustainability! Transform - Our shop was founded in 2018, to inspire the adoption of a sustainable lifestyle. It is a platform for enabling a low or zero waste lifestyle by providing a range of sustainable products at high quality and affordable prices. We want you to transform your knowledge into action! Inspire - We want to continue inspiring the next generation to be change-makers and drive change for Mother Earth. We conduct talks, organise events, hold workshops, educational trips, provide consultancy services and many more!

It’s not everyday that you get to go to Jurong Island to share about sustainability ☺️☺️ Thank you for having us and we hope to be back again to share more! 💚
For our annual SLNG Sustainability Day 🌱 this year, we came together to explore creative and practical ways to reduce waste and promote sustainability in our daily lives through interactive workshops led by The Sustainability Project. We learned how to make our own toilet bombs to keep bathrooms fresh without using harsh chemicals, and how to turn used coffee grounds into luxurious body scrubs. It was an inspiring day of fun and learning, demonstrating not only that being sustainable can be both practical and enjoyable, but also that every individual has a role to play. #LifeAtSLNG #Sustainability #GreenLiving Desmond Chang, CEng PMP® Odelia Ong
Back at Saint Anthony's Canossian Secondary School once again! 🌱 In 2022, we had the privilege of conducting a 3-day programme as part of their career guidance initiative. During that time, we: - Introduced students to sustainability and the zero waste hierarchy - Hosted sharing sessions with WWF and Cloop - Explored an urban farm - Crafted DIY lip balms and lotion bars This year, we're happy to be back, focusing on hands-on workshops highlighting coffee grounds waste and teaching students to make handwash using soap flakes. It's always an incredible opportunity to inspire the next generation and plant the seeds — a responsibility we cherish deeply. Here’s a wonderful testimonial from their team: Working with The Sustainability Project for our Sec 1 workshop was a fantastic experience! Jo was quick to respond and ensured all our requirements were met clearly and efficiently. Her passion for sustainability really shone through, making the coffee scrub and foam hand wash activities both fun and meaningful for our students. She was experienced and kept everyone engaged throughout. We would definitely be happy to work with them again in the future!'' #sustainability #workshop #sustainable

Yesterday, Zero Waste Singapore held a small sustainability fair for Ubisoft Singapore and it was a beautiful experience for both the participants and ourselves! Grateful to Ubisoft for granting us this opportunity to bring people together and show what the sustainable sector is all about. For this fair, we collaborated with a few like-minded partners — The Sustainability Project, A Million Books, My Naked Bar, D2L.sg, Semula Pte Ltd — to share their organizations' environmental agendas and showcase their work, whether through marketplace booths or workshops. We love putting together education and fun to encourage more people to be conscious about their own zero waste lifestyle. It's not something we can achieve immediately, but it's also not something we should overlook. It can start with just a small action. 🌎 We look forward to having more events like this. If you're interested to hold something meaningful like this for your organisation, contact us! #ZeroWasteSG #BYOSingapore #SustainabilityFair #ZeroWaste #Sustainableliving #StrengthinNumbers #GoGreenSG

On 14th September 2024, Rajah & Tann Singapore joined ITE College East students under Bethesda Care Services’ BCS@College East programme, in a creative upcycling workshop to transform orange peels into eco enzymes and body scrubs. Conducted by The Sustainability Project, this initiative aims to help the youths build up confidence and interaction skills as well as impart awareness of the waste landscape and the roles we all play to reduce waste. It was an interesting morning as Rajah & Tann volunteers connected with the students, all while gaining insights on our responsibility in environmental sustainability. Rajah & Tann Foundation is pleased to have sponsored this workshop, to mark the upcoming UN International Day of Awareness on Food Loss and Waste Reduction on 29th September. We thoroughly enjoyed this creative and fulfilling experience with the students and wish them all the best as they pursue a bright and sustainable future! #CSR #corporatesocialresponsibility #volunteering #community #communityoutreach #support #students #environment #sustainability #climatechange #awareness #Singapore #UN #unitednations #RajahTannAsia #RTA #LawyersWhoKnowAsia

It has been a while since we did a fundraising project and we are happy to support BYO Singapore (by Zero Waste Singapore ) through inspiring BYO action! From today until 14th Sept, tag us when you BYO (bottle/cup/bag). $0.50 will be donated to BYO Singapore and we aim to inspire 1,000 (unique) individuals to make this small change! If you wish to donate directly, you can do so here: https://lnkd.in/gqNV9Ebd Of course, if you BYO more than once, please continue to tag us so that we can inspire more to join this campaign ☺️☺️ All the experiences will be added to our BYO map by The Sustainability Project and BYO Singapore will engage the establishments you’ve featured as BYO Supporters and share their work. We hope through this mini campaign we can inspire more people to BYO and encourage small changes along the way 💚💚 #thesustainabilityproject #byo #reuse #lesswaste
Here is a throwback to when we conducted the beeswax wrap workshop for the #EcoJourneyWithSony contest winners! It is always a heartening and grateful time when we get to share more about plastic waste, Semakau Landfill, beeswax wrap and how they contribute to reducing disposable waste. Thank you Sony Electronics Singapore & Hooi Hong Tan for making this possible and for the lovely testimonial 💚 #sustainable #sustainability #workshops

What a busy third week we had! Three Community Month activities back-to-back; focused on themes of environment, sustainability and inclusion. While Mapletree is taking bold steps in our commitment to integrate sustainability in our business value chain and operations, we are also empowering our employees and tenants to practice sustainability in their everyday lives. An upcycling workshop with The Sustainability Project imparted useful knowledge and skills on turning orange peels and coffee grounds into body scrubs, while a guided butterfly trail walk with Nature Society Singapore raised awareness about local butterfly conservation and showcased the amazing biodiversity in the Alexandra precinct. Mapletree staff and tenants also had the opportunity to learn about the deaf community and culture as well as some basic #SingaporeSignLanguage from amazing trainer, Moses Chan from The Singapore Association for the Deaf (SADeaf). Things will be heating up next week as 14 futsal teams go toe to toe in our Mapletree Futsal Challenge qualifiers, as well as over 100 staff and tenants save lives through blood donation. Stay tuned! #Mapletree #MapletreeSustainability #MapletreeCSR #MapletreeCommunityMonth #MapletreeFutsalChallenge #TheSustainabilityProject #NatureSocietySingapore #biodiversity #TheSingaporeAssociationfortheDeaf
We did a little something special with Suzuki Coffee on Nurses Day at Alexandra Hospital, Singapore on 1st August ✨ Not only did they get to learn how to appreciate coffee, but they also made body scrubs with coffee grounds! Thank you, nurses, for your work and contribution to the healthcare industry, it is our privilege to celebrate this special day with you 💗💗 -- I knew I had to feature this when I saw the buffet and the steps Alexandra Hospital, Singapore has taken to reduce waste. Kudos to their Go Green Committee! It’s amazing because I know the work that goes behind getting the green light from various stakeholders and may this inspire a lot more companies out there to do their part too 💚 Through this engagement, we managed to: - give 894grams of coffee grounds a second life - rehome 73 glass jars that we collected from the community - share about sustainability and reducing waste with 150 nurses Thank you for having us and we are excited to continue working together to cultivate consciousness of our impact on the environment 🌍 #AlexandraHospital #HealthcareRedesigned #sustainability #reducewaste
