I'm excited to share insights from my recent visit to the Phnom Penh Logistics Complex (PPLC), a US$200 mil project set to transform Cambodia into a key ASEAN logistics hub. This facility represents a step forward in regional connectivity and economic cooperation. More will be announced soon 🚀 During my visit, I met H.E. Teo Lay Cheng, Singapore's Ambassador to Cambodia, and H.E. Chhieng Pich, Director-General of Cambodia Ministry of Public Works and Transport. Our discussions focused on strategic connectivity between Singapore and Cambodia, asset development opportunities for both countries, and the crucial role of trade in boosting businesses, creating jobs, and enhancing the quality of life for Cambodians. The PPLC is poised to enhance ASEAN logistics by increasing connectivity with neighboring countries, particularly Vietnam SuperPort™ and improving links to key logistics centers in #China, #Malaysia, and #Laos. As an integral part of the #ASEAN Smart Logistics Network, the complex also aims to strengthen Cambodia-Vietnam-Laos logistics routes. The impact of the PPLC on regional trade dynamics is expected to be positive. By reducing operational costs, improving competitiveness, and streamlining supply chains, this project will play an important role in economic and infrastructure growth across the region. 🌟 EduRISE Programme: Expanding Horizons through Study Visits! 🌟 As part of the EduRISE Programme, our trainees had the privilege of participating in a study visit at Republic Polytechnic's Centre of Innovation. The visit provided them with a broader perspective on the rapidly evolving supply chain industry. Yesterday, our 32 trainees were exposed to cutting-edge insights on how the integration of technology and innovation is transforming supply chain operations. A key highlight was learning about Robotics Process Automation (RPA) and Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI), and their incredible potential to enhance work processes in a warehouse environment.   It was truly heartening to witness our trainees actively engaging during the facility tour and immersing themselves in the experience. 💡   We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Friso Kluit and Morgan Heijdemann from Republic Polytechnic's Centre of Innovation for this insightful session and allowing our trainees to gain valuable industry exposure.
