The Inn is very conveniently located near the TianMenShan Cableway station, I took the public bus from WuLing and alighted at the stop outside the Cableway station. It is just 5 mins walk away. Surroundings are all small hotels/inn/homestay and very nice restaurants. The room is nice and clean. Stayed there for 2 nights and had very good sleep. There are foot massage nearby especially important after a long hard walk at TianMenShan. Totally enjoyed my stay there, will come back if I were to visit TianMenShan again. 

We had a memorable stay in this river-side hotel - Very unique set up & decorated.  Felt very secured with permit entrance. Managing staff was very friendly & helpful in providing us with information of the area - places of attractions, food & transport.  Not forgetting the complimentary daily fruit & sweet basket. It was an added advantage to guests of the hotel for the free shuttle service to & from the high speed train station.  Worry-free. The upper floor verandah is another added advantage for us to view the river, waterfall & lightings.  At the same time to enjoy our chinese tea brewing with the provided chinese tea set at the verandah. Laundry is provided free by the staff & we can put them to dry at the open space on the verandah. It was convenient for us to walk to the open air & in-door performances. Managing Staff, Miss Liew sent us off to the free shuttle transport at the entrance with free bottles of water & oranges for our journey. Really missed this beautiful & gorgeous place.

I recently stayed at this amazing hotel that made my experience with my newborn truly special. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. They went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed, helping me with my luggage and even offering to help with any extra requests. The facilities were clean and comfortable, making it easy for us to settle in with our little one. The hotel also had a lovely atmosphere, which made our stay relaxing. The city view is impeccable! I was particularly impressed by how accommodating they were, allowing us to enjoy our time without any stress. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to any new parents looking for a friendly and supportive environment. They truly made our stay memorable!

I took a long time researching and almost booked 2 other Instagram popular Minsu only to cancel and take this one instead. I am glad I did because this Minsu has the best view in whole of Furong Town! Many people make the mistake of wanting to stay right and close by the waterfall but the beauty of Furong Town is the wide landscape view of its ancient grounds and gorgeous waterfalls. As such, a view from a certain distance will be the most ideal and the most perfect. We simply love this accommodation! This Minsu is located by the entrance of the Furong Ancient Town. As you start your exploration into the town, you will be taken along multiple paths that will eventually lead you to the waterfall, as you walk through the trail and enjoy the waterfalls. Continue down and hike up into the cliff side steps until you see signages that point towards an exit. You will see some structures that is half built- walk up and then walk straight out and a left turn and you find yourself right back at the Minsu! The location is simply brillant ! We stayed in the 2 bedder suite and had such a wonderful time in the room enjoying the comfortable beds and the great view, we found ourselves lounging indoors most of the time only venturing for a bit outside when the weather was cooler. We will definitely recommend anyone to come and stay in this Minsu. Be sure to also have your dinner there , the food is good and views even better! You will not regret! The Minsu provides to and fro from the railway station , please add them in WeChat and arrange! They are very friendly !

Stayed here for 3 nights for easy access. It is abt 4 mins to the east entrance. Baidu somehow put at an erroneous 10mins for some reason. There is a stretch of food close by. And also quite abit of other things to eat nearby. There are also a few foot spas in the area, which is really good for those with aching feet after a few days of walking. Do not patronise the nearest one to this location. Not really good and they will try to hard sell stuff. Room is clean and the aircon can change to hot. No lift in the building. Laundry available right outside the room. Shower is a hassle though. It goes from hot to cold and cold to hot. I tried for 3 days and it still defeats me. Overall a good stay for the price.

Great experience, the staff were all genuinely very friendly and very helpful. They went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They will assist you with any questions and help you plan your journey and purchase tickets if you need. You can purchase tickets through them, with some slight discount compared to prices on trip.com. Hotel was recently opened, room is very nice and clean. Free breakfast included as well. 😊😊😊

Good location. Staffs are very nice especially a lady who wear eyeglass, she take very good care of us even she cannot speak English but she tried to translate and explain everything. We stay on 4th floor, a room is very clean and comfortable to stay. I can sleep very tight even no air conditioning but the weather is cold. I recommend to book for this hotel.

The best place to stay in Zhangjiajie. We really felt at home, the service was very special, the hotel is a family business and we felt very welcomed. The service is exemplary and we are fortunate to feel very well looked after. Have you ever enter the hotel with luggage in a hot day and being presented with ice cream? I am really sorry that you didn’t. Here is the hotel where you can experience it. And not only this makes it best! The hotel is a bit far from the city center, but this town is tiny which makes tranquility here an advantage. We had a room with mountain view and balcony. The view were nice, the room were spacious and convenient with large bathroom, bathtube at the balcony (why not) and nice “Chinese” styled furniture. Every day they refreshed our water supply with two bottles of it. The owner or host were really nice and helpful. Although he didn’t speak English he made a great effort to help using translator. He booked for us most of the tickets to attractions, organized the transfer to the airport and helped us to plan the route inside parks. The breakfast has only one option, but the view from the terrace where it was served and the food itself were amazing. Highly recommended. Worth every penny and more.

This Hotel Offers great waterfall views. I would say it has the best views in town! The room was small but comfortable and had a nice balcony to observe the beautiful surroundings. The staff were friendly and helpful. A downside was that there was no tea/ coffee in the room.

This accommodation was excellent. The rooms were big, modern and clean, with great views of the local landscape. The service is fantastic. A lot of the staff speak good English, and go the extra mile to make sure you are well looked after in your visit to the area, including free transport to the park and transport hubs. The breakfast is good and varied, particularly the cakes and cookies. We also had dinner every night in the hotel restaurant and it was always excellent. Really recommended, particularly how much effort the staff make to welcome western travellers. There’s also a very friendly dog, and lot of cats, who all like to come and say hello.

The hotel is on a single floor of a building complex (each floor is its own business). The hotel room is spacious, clean, and has a bathtub. Highly happy with the room for the price we pay. However, be aware of the elevator since it is quite run down.

Functional clean rooms located opposite the cable car station of Tianmen Mountain. The road between hotel and cable station is wide and entrance to cable car station is deep so give yourself 15 mins walk to reach. Do book in advance (at least 1 day) for Tianmen Mountain via hotel as it is able to get a small discount. Location is ideal as there is a breakfast restaurant just besides the hotel and there is a foot massage in the 2nd floor next block.

I couldn’t ask for a better place! A lovely family ran business with amazing location and smart, clean rooms. Upon arrival I was already greeted with tea and the owner with her son offering to plan my trip for me. As I am a solo traveller I spent a lot of time with the family who always invited me for tea and food. The owner was very accommodating from planning the trips to the mountains, to buying tickets, booking taxis and she would even offer to drop you off at the entrance to the park every morning. I would consider this place over any other hotel. It will definitely make you want to come back again!

Despite being a smaller establishment, the hotel maintains impeccable cleanliness throughout. What truly sets this place apart is the personal touch. The owners (husband and wife) went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. When we arrived late for breakfast at 9 AM (usual hours 7-8:30 AM), they graciously prepared fresh meals for us without hesitation. Their extensive knowledge of Zhangjiajie was invaluable - they took time to explain the local attractions and provided clear guidance for our exploration. As we checked out, they surprised us with complimentary snacks for our journey - a thoughtful gesture that perfectly exemplifies their attentive service. While the hotel may be modest in size, it's big on warmth and genuine care for guests. The owners treat you like family, making this an ideal base for exploring Zhangjiajie. Stayed one night and highly recommend. Hotel came and picked us up from the railway station and dropped us back. Booked the panorama room which had good views. Hotel is not overlooking “the waterfall” but has a nice view of the water and town before the waterfall. Got beers from the fridge next door and sat on the balcony and watched the town at night. Location is within the town and need to pay to enter the scenic town but staff will help. Staff speak English and via Wechat and happy to help! Highly recommend this hotel and thank you for looking after us. We got breakfast at their restaurant, steamed buns and soup and was the best tasting breakfast so far! Thank you

The view from the room was amazing. We absolutely loved the balcony. It was our favourite hang out place during our 2 nights stay. The room was very spacious for 3 people. The bed was comfortable. They have proper amenities available. The toilet was very big. The location of the hotel was very convenient and it is walking distance to all the main attractions. It was a plus point as we were travelling with elderly people. The hotel staffs were very helpful and approachable, they provided us the digital map and gave us guidance on how to walk around the ancient town. They also offered better ticket pricings for the different attractions that was available. They came to fetch us when we arrived at the Nan Hua Men. They also arranged transport for us to the railway station as we were a group of 6. Only downside was the noise from the vehicles in the eating street in front of the hotel, and some tour groups start their tour as early as 7am in the morning, as they walk by along the TuoJiang river. However, that was not an issue for us. We woke up early to sit at the balcony and have our morning coffee while watching people passing by.

Rooms we stay were quite new and very clean. Location was very good and convenience, just a short walk to the river. Great scenery from our rooms. The lady hotel owner was very friendly and helpful. At the time we checked out from the hotel to continue our journey, one of the two private drivers didn't show up to take us to the train station. The lady hotel owner had managed to get another car fast enough for us to be able to catch the train to Zhangjiajie as planned. Neither it was her fault nor her responsibility, she just did what she felt it should be done to help out, such a considerate person. We have enjoyed our stay here at Phoenix Qingcheng Mountain Water Courtyard Homestay and shall come back again if we are to visit Fenghuang Town in the future.

We had a big room with a very big bed. The bathroom was big with a self-flushing toilet and toilet seat warmer! One wall of the room was just glass so we had a good view out, over some old roofs and windows, and a far view of lovely builidings on a hill. We had a long and narrow balcony with a view of the river, pagoda and bridges. Right below was the bustling street scene near the Hong Qiaio (Rainbow Bridge). The balcony has a couple of hanging bubble seats and even a small table and chairs. Just perfect for viewing the amazing night scenery and people-watch. (Based on an earlier review, we knew the noise stopped at 11.30pm so we had good nights' sleep). We were very comfortable and happy with our room. It was just a short walk from the shops outside the Ancient Town, so we could enjoy both sides of Feng Huang. The entrance to the hostel is hidden behind a costume rental shop, so it's a little tricky to find. The hostel also has a water dispenser for filling up water bottles. All I can say is the location is just the best for watching the comings and goings in the streets, with easy access for walking along the riverside, pagoda, bridges, viewing the performances on the river...yet near enough to pop into our comfy room to recharge.

The hotel has the best location in the city, in the very center on the river bank. There are wonderful views from the balcony. The room is huge, beautiful, with a Western toilet. The hostess is amazing! She met us on the bridge, escorted us to the hotel, and even helped us carry our luggage. She gave us a map of the city with the sights, told us everything and showed us on it. We communicated using a translator on the phone, we haven't troubles with this wonderful women in communication. We are very glad that we chose this hotel!

We spent a wonderful night at the hotel. We arrived in the evening and the girl working at the front desk kindly helped carry my bags up the stairs. She offered cold drinks while checking us in, showed us the room, and introduced us to the attractions and gave us restaurant recommendations. She helped us find a taxi when we left (Didi service was unavailable.) She was really kind and helped us a lot. The hotel is located at the bend of the river. From the balcony, we could take in the beautiful night scenes. All the main attractions are just a few steps away. We happened to arrive the night before the mid-autumn day and thoroughly enjoyed the holiday atmosphere. We were happy to spend a night in Fenghuang Ancient City and stayed at this local hotel. Would recommend it to anyone visiting Fenghuang.

The room is clean and well-equipped. The most surprising thing is that there are disposable face and bath towels in the homestay! We drove a new energy vehicle here, and parking and charging are very convenient. It is just across the river, about 100 meters away in a straight line. It is also very close to Fenghuang Ancient Town, and it takes about 5 minutes to walk to the restricted area. The environment is quiet in a busy place, and it is very comfortable to rest at night. Facing the river view, you can also enjoy the scenery, and the boss is very enthusiastic. It is worth praising

Place is great location , near by popular land mark and the view very amazing. Owner very nice and helpful. Room clean and having all facilities. We got very good experience here and we would comeback again if possible 💕

Hotel located in the old town, close to the entrance so you only have to walk 5 minutes from where the taxi drops you off, and the manager will pick you up in the taxi area if you let him know. The room is tastefully renovated and very nice. Although smoking is allowed in it, luckily it didn't smell at all. The cleaning was very good. The bathroom was a bit uncomfortable because when you showered everything gets wet. The views are... a spectacle, there are no better ones. It has a beautiful little terrace where you can spend hours looking at the landscape, which is priceless. Also, downstairs it looks directly onto the water, so there are no people walking under your window like on the other side. All of Fenghuang has a special charm. The area is still noisy at night, but at 11:30 pm everything stops and it becomes calm. The owner was incredibly nice! He speaks good English and is easy to communicate with. He helped us a lot with everything, like with the taxi and helped us buy trains, he was very kind. Thank you for everything!!

The room environment is great. It's right on the riverside and you can enjoy the night view at night. There are many facilities for entertainment, fitness and leisure on the roof. It's very comfortable. The boss will also carefully introduce tourists to the local ancient town places to visit with a map, and provide pick-up service, which is very considerate. There are also small gifts when leaving the store. Worthy of ranking first☝️
