The hotel is stunning and located in an old wood storage facility the team really did an amazing job on creating a unique stay experience. Breakfast was very personal and authentic and the bath in the room was sublime. As with older buildings it is hard to keep spiderwebs and dust away from all corners yet it was very clean overall besides that. Staff was very friendly and even though great location near Noji castle and the palace it is a bit further away from the centre. Subway is just 3 blocks away, busses nearby are plenty and overall a very recommended stay.

My husband and I were visiting our daughter and husband who are stationed in Japan. This was our first trip to Japan. We loved this hotel. The service was excellent, the location was very convenient, and the room was elegant, spacious, and with a beautiful private garden. The wooden bathtub was so relaxing!

Facilities: Everything is available and exquisite. It was winter when I went there, and the floor heating was so comfortable. Wooden bathtub, toilet and shower separated. This is the hotel with the lowest cost performance I have ever stayed in. Let's talk about the house facilities first. The blinds were broken. I asked the waiter for help, but the waiter didn't know how to pull the blinds all the way down and lied that it was impossible to pull them all the way down, which caused me to be woken up by the sun very early in the morning. Although the breakfast was customized, it was not easy to sit by the stove and eat grilled food for breakfast on a hot day. The hotel front desk waiter started work without training. Nazuna Kyoto Gosho is a well-designed, modern ryokan with contemporary Japanese aesthetics. The staff are well-trained, welcoming, kind, and attentive. The location is ideal—just steps from the Kyoto Imperial Palace and gardens, as well as other key sites. I thoroughly enjoyed the Sukiyaki dinner and the Irori breakfast, and the spa services were terrific. The ochazuke was a lovely touch as well. The staff also did an excellent job with check-in and check-out, making for a very satisfying experience overall.

Extreme tranquility is the only way to describe Nazuna Kyoto Gosho. The design of the rooms and the overall hotel is stunning, and you'll truly feel as though you're in nature while at the same time being just steps away from major attractions and sights.
