What a lovely stay! Great rooms clean and tidy, good location! A lovely welcome from Terence who was very friendly and helped with all my needs. Katie in bar was very friendly and helpful too. The night staff Jordan and Scott were also very helpful and friendly. I had a lovely stay.

There was no hot water on arrival, been given a room with disabled shower and with a door linking to another room . After complaining it was changed but the hustle was inconvenient. Wouldn’t book there again. Not what we expected

Absolutely delicious Sunday carvery. All of the meats were incredibly well cooked, tender & carved to perfection. The vegetables & roast potatoes were spot on. The staff are very helpful & friendly. Relaxing environment. Highly recommended!

Interesting visit. 1. We were told when we arrived that the restaurant was closed. We thought we would have to walk into town to find somewhere to eat, which would have been a bit of a pain. However, when we asked a different member of staff for a recommendation of where to go we were told the restaurant was open! No explanation was provided for the different versions of open or closed. Worked out OK and the meal was good but a bit of consistency would have got rid of the unneccessary uncertainty we experienced. 2. The hotel car park was closed off by roadworks for 2 hours during the evening and no one could get in or out. Not the hotel's fault but I have suggested they might want to talk to the local council so that they can warn customers in advance if this happens again. 3. There is an underground car park. If you get to the hotel and the open air car park is full (as it was when we returned from a wedding on last Friday night) then ask about the hotel underground car park - the entrance is not obvious at all. 4. Beware the parking fees. Even with the hotel discount it cost us £27.30 to park from about 6.30pm on Thursday to 11am on Saturday morning. Might be normal for the locality but took us a bit by surprise.
