The hotel is at a very convenient location, close to shops and Karon beach. Staffs are nice, environment is good and suitable for little kids. The massage service is right next to the pool, very friendly to families. We got the room in front of the pool with the big slides, wonderful view! Will definitely come back again.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location was as advertised to be just a one-minute walk away from Karon Beach, and the staff took care of us extremely well throughout our stay. The room was spacious and cleaned well daily, and the two restaurants at the hotel served delicious food at arguably affordable prices for restaurant hotels. The pool was also clean and looked well-maintained. Highly recommended for anybody looking for a quieter place to chill and relax at!

Extended my stay one more day . May house is 15mins walk to beach. If you want to visit old Phuket town, just cross the road and wave the public bus, 40 Baht per trip. Within 5 mins walk you will reach supercheap or mini big C. You can buy alot of snacks or daily from there. If you need some local food, can order from may house, after cook they will bring up to your room. Super super convenience.

after staying for 2 nights and 3 days. I'm an Asian. Not all employees, but some employees, especially mango pool bartender and check-in employees, experienced racism. I felt very unpleasant and ****** as an Asian woman. The order was not quick, I waited endlessly without explanation. I had to wait for the check-in after Western check-in, and it was very unpleasant, but I endured it because I didn't want to ruin the travel mood, and I leave feedback like this after the trip. I hope it will be improved, and if this part is improved, Mandaraba Resort will be recognized as a world-class Phuket attraction.

The resort is quite big and located across the street from Karon beach. Close to many shops and restaurants. Stayed in main hotel and rooms were clean and comfortable. Service staff are all very friendly. Only thing that could be improved for 5 star resort is speed of service as they are a bit slow, but this is just their way.

Hotel is right on the beach in Karon (only hotel which offers this I believe) so the location is perfect for those who want beach access. Nothing else in the nearby area though, apart from a beach restaurant called Daengs - very reasonably priced food and drinks here; you will visit this place plenty rather than eating and drinking in the hotel. Compared to what you get outside, the hotels prices are high and you’d be foolish to eat all the time in the hotel with so many great food options in Karon, Patong and Kata.
Karon town centre is about a 15-20 min walk along the beach - you have to cross a river on the beach so be prepared to get wet feet. Otherwise the walk into town is on a busy road with no walkway, so be prepared to use Bolt (this is best for Phuket NOT Grab) or a taxi to get anywhere from this hotel unless you walk along the beach.
Our room was huge - Premium Room - and we had a huge wraparound balcony. However the balcony seemed like a bit of a waste of space (the “lounge” area was outside) - personally I think if it’s going to be designed as a suite with a lounge area, that should be inside the room not on the balcony as it was a waste of space. I’d probably only book this room category if I liked sitting outside all the time - a standard balcony with more space inside would’ve worked better. Having said that, the buildings and the grounds are IMMACULATE and BEAUTIFUL and you really do feel like you are staying in a paradise resort. The pool areas are great, there is a lazy river, slides and a cliff you can jump off - it’s a lot of fun for water babies!
The only downside (other than no 7-11 or no other restaurants nearby) is that there are a LOT OF STAIRS to tackle here at the resort. There seem to be only 2 x elevators which will take you from the ground floor up to the bedrooms - and they are situated at either end of all the blocks. We stayed in block 4 and it was a 15 min trek back to the room from the pool. Or you walk up 72 stairs…yes, 72 stairs, to get to your block. Not advisable for elderly or infirm people. If there were more elevators (and clearly marked step free access) then this would make the resort a lot better.

We recently stayed at Pullman Karon for our anniversary for 17 nights, and overall, it was a very satisfying experience.
The staff were amazing! Everyone was friendly, smiling, and always eager to help. We were pleasantly surprised when we got upgraded to a junior suite for free, and the bed was beautifully decorated for our anniversary. Their attention to detail and customer service truly made our stay special.
Unfortunately, the room service food did not meet our expectations, and the same goes for the open international buffet. Although the selection was limited, the beef (steak) and fish barbecue were excellent.
The pool area had a very good and relaxing ambiance. The bar was great, and the bartenders were amazing, serving delicious drinks and French fries. However, there was construction in one of the buildings that created loud and disturbing noise, which was not mentioned at the time of booking. Thankfully, we couldn't hear it from our room.
Breakfast was somewhat disappointing. We expected more variety from a 5-star hotel.
Despite these minor issues, we were overall very satisfied with our stay. The exceptional service and thoughtful gestures made our anniversary celebration memorable.

A very, very mediocre hotel that needs renovation. The first and most important thing is the terrible breakfasts. We have been going to Phuket for fifteen years and have never seen such breakfasts. It feels like everything is imported and breakfasts are not prepared within the hotel walls. We simply have not been there for the last five days. The cleaning also leaves many questions. The floors are not washed. The staff is polite, they were willing to meet us halfway in our household chores. When we checked out, they charged us for water in large bottles. It turned out that water in large bottles is paid for. Keep in mind. The air conditioner is very noisy, you need to get used to it. The only big plus is the location. The sea is across the road.

In general it was OK
Breakfast was also Ok
However, we’ve stayed in building #4 and there were a smell of dampness. Informed receptionist, the only thing that was done - they came and injected freshener, of course few hours later the smell came back.
Not sure if I come back to this hotel.

Nice minimalist light interior, which is rare in the budget segment. No sewer smell. The room with a mountain view is quite quiet and has a good view. Not far away on foot to Kata Beach and a street with bars. Cons: the light interior shows signs of time, especially in the bathroom. Not very convenient shower, which floods the entire bathroom when used. The room lacks a large plate for fruit.

GGuest UserRooms were tucked away from the street. However, the balcony was lit at night by the very close neighboring hotel, providing very little privacy. Breakfast was average. Pool bartender named ”New” was very friendly and treated us well! Our room wasn't ready for check-in until after 2pm (several other guests had the same issue). We didn't eat at the street-side restaurant which had very little business. A small and very close-by street food market was a favorite late night hang-out. They had good food, music and a lot of business.

advantage:
1. Located at the highest point, with mountains on its back and the sea on its back, the scenery is superb;
2. The facilities in the room are complete, spacious and bright, the large terrace has a sea view, the air conditioner is fast, there is plenty of hot water for bathing, and it is very quiet at night.
3. The hotel is equipped with a massage swimming pool, where you can watch the sunset and take photos.
4. The restaurant on the street to the right at the foot of the hotel's hillside is very delicious and cost-effective. It is highly recommended.
shortcoming:
1. Because it is located on the top of a mountain, it requires climbing (steep slope), so it is not suitable for bringing elderly people and children. In addition, there is no elevator in the hotel, so you still need to climb stairs, which is more suitable for young people with physical strength.
2. The hotel does not provide breakfast, but it is equipped with an induction cooker for simple cooking, which is more suitable for long-term rental.
3. There is no Chinese service, so it is suitable for tourists who are good at English. Regarding the steep slope, the hotel provides a shuttle bus, but you need to call in advance to make a reservation (in English), and you can pay an appropriate tip.

RRalph NicoleThis small hotel is located strategically just across Karon Beach, Phuket in Thailand. I booked it for convenience and great vibes that I don’t need to walk a lot or ride a tuk-tuk just to be in the beach. You just have to be careful crossing the roads in Thailand as it is another skill to have! On another note, this hotel is a bit funny with their floor and room numbering system, so just be aware of that as I was assigned room 317 but it was 2nd floor in the elevator number, haha! It added some twist to how fun my Phuket trip was!
In terms of cleanliness of the facilities and friendliness and service from the staff, it was great and I have absolutely no issues with them! They were great in keeping everything tidy. Aside from its awesome location, I particularly selected this hotel for its good price and their washrooms having a bidet! If you know, you know why that is important to some travelers as we are not uncivilized savages, so that’s a plus for those who are looking for this feature in a hotel room. Overall, I enjoyed my short stay and wished I stayed longer. I will be back again!

SSHUArrive at the hotel around 7am and add 170🐷 to check in. In the first room, the brother tried no hot water and said that it would be OK after 9 o'clock. As soon as I sat down in the room, we called and said whether we should change the room. Of course, the hot water in the shower was normal this time, and the room was very comfortable.
We booked a double deluxe room with a small balcony and a seating table. We didn't order breakfast. We liked to sit on the balcony in the morning for breakfast at a convenience store.
There is a small bay window that is very convenient to put things in. The only unreasonable design is that the mirror is placed on the wall of the bay window and it is inconvenient to shine.
The toilet smelled, towels were quite hard and toothbrushes and toothpaste were not provided.
Pros: The swimming pool is really beautiful, worthy of the name, and free cocktails and snacks at sunset, from 3 to 8 pm, and free activities at other times. Go straight for 3 minutes to the seaside, don't be too convenient, turn right on the road side until the turntable is uphill are all restaurants, commercial streets, and bustling areas.
Disadvantages: There are bugs floating in the swimming pool. Room facilities are not very good, average level, unstable hot water seems to be a common problem. The signal in the house is bad and the wifi is poor.
Overall, it is cost-effective, not many Chinese, and quiet. Still like it.

GGuest UserWe stayed in mid-November 2024. Superior room. With a balcony, sea view. This is a building with rooms at the very top, where the lobby is. The room is spacious. The pillows and blankets inside the duvet cover are terrible. Stains, streaks. The furniture is in an antique style. Already shabby. This is in many hotels in Thailand. Living creatures in the form of one huge cockroach, centipedes were seen in the room. Ants on the balcony. Do not leave food. The staff is excellent. They try to help in any situation. Breakfasts are monotonous. Meager. There is a swimming pool with sun loungers and umbrellas, but it is located in the middle of the hill. That is, between the lobby and the beach. The road to the beach and back is a steep climb. You can call a shuttle to get down. But only to the pool. Further, to the beach, there are also steep steps down. Passing the beach, you immediately pass 2 unpleasant-smelling streams of water flowing into the sea. Karon beach itself is excellent. But climbing back to the room in the fierce heat, of course, does not at all encourage returning to this hotel again.
