Pickalbatros Golf Beach Resort - All Inclusive

We have just returned from this resort. We had a very pleasant vacation in this wonderful location. There is a large quiet pool with a bar and another pool with music and parties, with slides, with a lazy river and another bar, so you can choose what you like. The beach is rocky with picturesque views and colorful fish right on the shore. The food is good and varied at the main restaurant. There are also a la carte restaurants, beach bar, 2 pool bars, fruit and snack bar. Many thanks to manager Mr. Moataz who works very hard from morning until late at night to offer the best solutions to the hotel's tourists. He helped us a lot and is a professional and kind person. The room was always clean, the bed linen and towels changed daily and the mini bar filled daily with bottled drinks.

This is a 4 stars hotel but I think that it has at least 3 stars too many. The staff working in here is not the most helpful or service minded. In the hotel there is a shop selling fake goods. The room we had was super dated, the bed was not comfortable and the bathroom was not clean at all. The tiles in the bathroom were dirty, on the bathroom floor and tiles there was some debris, it looked like they did some work in the bathroom but they didn’t bother to clean properly. When we went to eat we used the sanitiser at entrance of the restaurant but it had so much of bad perfume in it that when I was eating some bread it made the bread taste awful. The food was mediocre. I saw the staff cleaning the tables with some very filthy sponge. My partner wanted to have a bath but the bathtub didn’t have a plug so we went to the reception to ask for one but they did not have any and did not even try to help however when we went back in the room we discovered that we wouldn’t use the bathtub at all cause the water coming from the tap did have a bad look, it was brown. At the checkout the receptionist asked to wait a bit cause the housekeeping would check first the room, I think they should send a housekeeping and a manager before the guests get in the room. Overall the hotel is pretty cheap but that doesn’t justify the dirtiness etc.

I am still living here. The hotel environment is very good. It is next to SOHO Square and has several swimming pools. It is all-inclusive and very worry-free. Food and drinks are available at any time. The meals are very hygienic. There are seafood meals every few days. All the employees are very polite. There is a minibus to the beach, which arrives in a few minutes, or you can walk there. The hotel has its own beach and beach bar. You can get towels with a card and snorkel from the platform. The scenery is beautiful. I think the price-performance ratio is extremely high! If there is a shortcoming, the room the front desk guy gave us at the beginning was behind the children's area. We asked for a big bed room and gave us a family room with two small beds. The facilities were very old and the balcony door could not be closed. I suspect it was because of the price increase during the peak season, but Ctrip's price is still okay compared to other platforms. The front desk did it on purpose, or it may be due to other reasons, which cannot be distinguished. Anyway, I asked to change the room and I was changed. The facilities in the new building are obviously much better.

1. Rent a life jacket for 100 Egyptian pounds a day, and you can rent a private cabin for 10 or 15 dollars a day. 2. The hotel can snorkel directly, the quality of the sea water is not to say, and there are a lot of fish. 3. The overall decoration of the hotel is not advanced enough, and the Arabic style is not modern enough. The music and evening performances are also in Arabic style. 4. There is a dress code for eating, which is extremely inconvenient. You cannot eat lunch or dinner in a swimsuit and vest. There is only one restaurant. 5. The all-inclusive beach drinks are only in plastic cups, not a can if there is no glass.

Advantages: The hotel can only check in at 2pm. We arrived at noon. The front desk stored our suitcases and hung a sign for us to go to the restaurant for lunch first. After lunch, we went to the room at 2pm. It was ready. A waiter took us to the room and delivered the suitcases to the room. The food in the restaurant was OK. Chinese stomachs can be picky. The hotel staff, especially the restaurant water bar, were very enthusiastic~ The key point is: the room is very clean! The toilet is also good~ The facilities are modern and clean, which is very important for girls! The beach is really very big, very big, very big, and I didn't dare to go down. The hotel has its own swimming pool, and the cocktails in the water bar are very delicious. There are yoga classes and various courses. I didn't go to them. I saw someone taking them
Jaz Fayrouz Resort

For anyone who is looking to stay at Jaz Fayrouz I would advise taking some of the more negative reviews with a pinch of salt. We have just spent 8 nights here and we had a brilliant time! Our room (202) was one of the more recently renovated rooms. It was spacious, clean and well presented. It was in the perfect spot right by the Adults only pool, reception and main buffet restaurant. The food although slightly catering more towards the Russian guests, has been nice and not overly repetitive like you’d expect in an all inclusive. In the main restaurant you have the option for freshly made omelettes at breakfast, spaghetti or pasta at lunch and there’s always something on the outside barbecue grill at night. The “Italian” A La Carte restaurant was really only one of two disappointing things about the resort. It was basically just another buffet but at the beach. If you do fancy venturing into Naama bay for food or drinks it’s a 5 minute walk down the promenade. I will say it is a bit strange that some of the bars on the resort aren’t part of the all inclusive. However, for us that didn’t impact our stay at all. We solely used the Flambé bar for our alcoholic drinks as it was located next to the Adults only pool and a stone’s throw from the beach. It served local Egyptian beer Sakara on tap. The staff at this bar were fantastic. Always very friendly and attentive. They were constantly looking out to see if you needed another drink and made some amazing surprise cocktails! The beach is in a perfect spot, right in the middle of Naama Bay. It’s 2 minute walk from the reception area. It’s huge and there are hundreds of sun loungers, although surprisingly by around 10am they are basically all taken, which we found out on our first day. Despite this, it wasn’t an issue for the rest of our stay! We would go onto the beach earlier in the morning when the sea was at its clearest and calmest to make the most of the fantastic snorkelling. This was the highlight of our stay. The coral and marine life are amazing right off the beach! The second of our two complaints was the entertainment at night time, it was really lacking, with not much on offer. But this wasn’t that much of an issue for us, as we would head off into Naama Bay town if we fancied. Also worth mentioning, is the staff at the reception. They were so welcoming and helpful! 99% of the staff at the hotel were pleasant and friendly. You always get the odd one that isn’t but that’s to be expected in a large resort. Would I return to Jaz Fayrouz? Yes definitely! For what we paid it was fantastic value for money. The location is amazing and the staff are great. If you enjoy the beach and the marine life this is a perfect place to come for some Winter sun!
