What strikes you first is how great the staff were. They were so friendly and helpful. The room was very clean but if i have to moan about something it was the height of the bed - it was so high and im only 5ft. Really great they had an on site bar too especially as it was New Years eve

This place could be excellent but it falls short in every possible way. The staff clearly don’t enjoy their work, the carpets are worn and need replaced, the drains in the wash hand basins emit a foul odour and the restaurant always has issues meaning it can’t provide dinner (multiple visits over a period of time). They are able to provide breakfast but even then, staff are under resourced and the offering is limited. The location is ideal for where I visit though. The car parks are is now free (before you had to pay separately).

On checking into hotel, staff stated the hotel had run out of food. So no food for evening meal and breakfast. Having purchased breakfast from a shop to eat in my room. I noticed on checkout that breakfast was being served and staff had advised wrong. No apologies from staff on checking into hotel, wish I had stayed somewhere else. The mattress was very soft and gave a bad nights sleep.

Restaurant closed but no one could be bothered to contact me prior to the trip. Water was switched off, but no one really cared. Left without being able to have a wash or food. Water bottles not offered either. Checked out, no apology, I said I wanted to check out and the woman just said OK, thanks. Glad to have left, even though I was unwashed, and hungry

Beds are very hollow with no comfort. Pillows are like Bricks! Cups and Breakfast area had staines from previous stay. Shower too small Evening menu absolutely appalling...Chef Mic springs to mind. Rude Female manager receptionist Charged an extra £10 for early check in arrived at 2.40pm (20 mins earlier) Stay away!
