North Gate Visitor Center

The North Gate Visitor Center is located near the North Gate District Office. It was converted from the southwest warehouse of the former salt washing factory buildings. The exterior still retains the original factory walls and sloped roof design, making it relatively inconspicuous. However, the interior has been elegantly renovated and is quite bright, making it an ideal starting point for those wishing to visit the North Gate. Entry to the North Gate Visitor Center is free, and the air conditioning is available. The interior design mainly introduces the names and attractions of various districts, including neighboring counties such as Budai Town and Dongshi Township. It also introduces some local customs and other cultural aspects. In the reception hall, there is an exhibition of a whale fossil sample, which is very eye-catching and perfect for photos. The visitor center has staff available for tourist inquiries, and most importantly, the restrooms are very clean!
