Xicun Dayuan | A harmonious symphony of tradition and modernity

Xicun Dayuan is the third phase of the Chengdu Xicun Creative Industry Park, and is the largest and most diverse part of the park. It is located in the main urban area of Chengdu, at No. 1 Beisen North Road, West 2.5 Ring Road, covering an area of about 42,000 square meters, with a total construction area of about 135,000 square meters. Xicun Dayuan is positioned as a creative living cluster with courtyard offices and characteristic cultural commerce as the core, aiming to create an international-level creative industry living cluster. The design of Xicun Dayuan adopts an outer ring and inner empty layout, with buildings built along the edge of the block, enclosing a park-like super-large courtyard, becoming a "green basin" with high outside and low inside, accommodating a variety of public life, echoing the original landscape of the Sichuan Basin. Inside the courtyard, there are large, medium, and small bamboo courtyard layers, open to the public, freely accessible, recreating the traditional living environment, stimulating collective memory, and continuing the traditional lifestyle of Chengdu people who love to relax under the bamboo. The functional and facility-based skeleton design allows for the free filling of personalized secular life, which is summarized by the huge scale of the courtyard, eventually forming a "market facade," conveying the rich expressiveness of group creation. An elevated leisure runway tours the courtyard and climbs to the roof for a lap, bringing an extraordinary experience of freedom and excitement to runners and cyclists, and giving the building a dynamic and energetic image. Currently, 70% of the merchants have settled in, including restaurants, bars, tea houses, sports, music, traditional arts, and various small shops of craftsmen. In addition, Xicun Dayuan also reflects the concept of environmental protection and sustainability in the use of buildings and materials. For example, environmentally friendly recycled bricks made from construction waste are used as the main material, with no radiation and low pollution, as well as double-layer hollow glass doors and windows, high-efficiency extruded polystyrene insulation layers, and rainwater recycling.
