Paris - Monet's Garden One Day Tour Itinerary: Paris - Auvers Town - Monet's Garden - Paris Monet's Garden is located in the small town of Giverny, 70 kilometers west of Paris, France. It is the former residence of the famous French painter Monet. It is divided into two parts: a water garden and a garden. When the painter Monet passed through the town by train at the end of April 1883, he was deeply attracted by the peaceful atmosphere there, so he decided to settle here until his death in 1926. After Monet bought the house, he made extensive renovations to it. Because he loved flowers and plants, he cut down the pine trees in front of the house and built a greenhouse where he grew flowers and grass. He hired five gardeners to tend his gardens. There are actually no plants from Normandy in the Normandy Garden. Most of them are flowers and plants imported from Japan that Monet bought from flower dealers in Paris. In 1893, he bought a piece of land on the other side of the railway and built a water park. In 1914, Monet built a large studio with a length of 23 meters, a width of 20 meters, and a height of 5 meters in his courtyard, where he completed the creation of the large-scale decorative painting "Water Lilies" series. While living in seclusion here, his influence grew day by day, becoming not only the father of Impressionism, but also a pioneer of modern painting. I spent an afternoon visiting Monet’s residence, gardens and water lilies. When I learned about the town of Giverny many years ago, I made a note of Monet's Garden in my travel plan. Today happens to be a nice day, and Monet's garden under a sunny sky is just like the oil paintings he painted. He captured it with his brush, and I recorded it with my camera. We also used light and color to restore the vivid beauty of the moment. Monet's entire living environment is nature and environment, light, shadow and color, seasons and the passage of time. The first floor is his studio, and the walls are covered with his paintings. Next to it is the yellow dining room and the blue kitchen. Upstairs are several bedrooms, filled with Japanese ukiyo-e paintings that Monet loved. His house was surrounded by a huge garden, which was said to have required seven gardeners to take care of it. Although it is not the season of roses, and there are no patches of roses on the rose arch, the more green beauty has become another style, which is unique to summer. Under the continuous arches is a flower path, and at the end of the flower path is his house. I think if I lived here, I should be in the mood to paint every day. I really like this place, it seems to be the garden of my dreams. I like every window in the house that lets in sunlight, and the oil painting-like gardens outside the window. I like his water lilies, and I also like the reflections of clouds and people on the water.
