Kunming Tanhua Temple

Tanhua Temple is located at the foot of Jinma Mountain in Kunming, on the banks of Jinzhih River. There is a Udumbara tree (actually a Yunnan magnolia tree, over 300 years old) in the temple, which is said to have come from India. The temple is named after the tree, which still stands in the courtyard of the Sutra Library. On the wall, there is a stone inscription with the words "Udumbara Brings Good Fortune." The gardens are well-arranged, making it a great place to relax alone, play with children, or have a tea party with friends. It's a great place to take photos in a new Chinese style. If you like taking photos, we recommend wearing new Chinese-style clothes, cheongsams, Hanfu, or fairy-like dresses.
