Buy tickets online in advance to save time. The ticket gate is 7 km away from the first cableway, which is the starting point of the climb. There is no scenery in between, so you need to take a shuttle bus for CNY 20 one way. If you drive, you can directly navigate to Laojun Mountain Yunjing Cableway, drive in, and park in Parking Lot 13, so you don't need to take the shuttle bus. 2. The first cableway is a must. It is said that this section is all mountain roads, and it takes 5 hours to climb, but only 15 minutes by cableway. If you only plan to spend one day, be sure to consider the first cableway. 3. It is recommended to take the second cableway down the mountain (if you have elderly or children, it is recommended to take the cableway up and down the mountain to save energy and time). When you reach the exit of the second cableway, be sure to take the "Wonderland Tunnel" and visit clockwise, so you don't have to go back the same way, and there are relatively few steps on this section, with more hiking and sightseeing, and less difficulty. On the way back, take the cableway from the Golden Summit to the second cableway. 4.
