The complete tourist facilities and thoughtful service will make you forget that you are on a plateau, on top of a mountain. The wooden houses are the traditional dwellings of the Mosuo people and a unique sight of Lugu Lake. The houses form courtyards of various sizes. They are built entirely of wood, without a single nail, brick, or tile. The walls are made of stacked wood, the roofs are covered with wooden planks, and the windows are wooden. They are warm in winter and cool in summer. Some of the ancient wooden houses have been passed down for hundreds of years. The inn we stayed in was unique, with antique decorations, old murals, yellowed postcards, a slowly burning fire pit, and dim lighting. The whole inn was filled with a strong Mosuo flavor. It was a strange environment, yet familiar in that corner. It was as if I had been there before. Daluoshui Village is close to the lake. The water is clear and blue, and the mountains are green and rolling. The mountains and water are connected to the village, and the lake and mountains are the backdrop of Daluoshui Village. There are willows by the lake and wooden boats on the small paths. The pig trough boats sway gently on the lake. In the morning and evening, the glow of the sun spreads over the lake and the village. The inn is by the lake, with an unobstructed sunroom standing by the lake. When you open the curtains, the stars fill the sky, and the hazy moonlight is like a pillow. You can walk along the tide, enjoy the lake view, chat with the Mosuo people about the story of "Asha and Azhu," listen to the melodious sound of the hulusi in the bar, find a table by the window, and savor the taste of Lugu Lake sunshine and delicious fish soup.
