Christ Church, Oxford: A peaceful encounter with history and culture.

As I entered the college, the first thing that caught my eye was the wide lawn (Tom Quad), surrounded by magnificent ancient buildings, the whole environment was quiet and solemn. The most eye-catching is Tom Tower, which stands tall in a corner of the courtyard. Every hour, the bell on the tower will echo in the campus. Then, I walked into Christ Church Cathedral. This is the cathedral of Oxford, with a history dating back to the 12th century. The high stained glass windows in the church let in the sunlight, and the light and shadow are reflected on the stone pillars and benches, quiet and sacred. Standing in the church, it seems to feel the worship and ceremonies held here over the past few centuries. The college's dining hall reminds people of the Hogwarts Great Hall in the movie "Harry Potter", with long tables neatly arranged, and the walls are full of portraits of historical figures in the college, and the atmosphere is very solemn. This is not only a place for students to eat, but also a part of the long tradition of Oxford University. Walking in the college garden, I also thought of the writer Lewis Carroll, who once taught here and found the inspiration for "Alice in Wonderland" in this college. Every corner of the college seems to have a fairy tale atmosphere, which is fascinating. Christ Church, Oxford is not only an academic hall, but also a treasure trove of history and culture. Walking here, you can feel the strong historical atmosphere and quiet campus life.
