I’m willing to revisit Poznan just for this cafe

#2024mapped In general, my trip to Poznan was a fruitful one—but what elevated it even further was an unpretentious cafe, which served very well-thought desserts: 📍Address: Miel Coffee Święty Marcin 14, 61-803 Poznań, Poland This place had me completely sold that I came three times a day to try as many desserts I could. First visit I ordered a puff with raspberry filling and white chocolate cream and pistachio flakes on top. At first glance, the puff seems overbaked (to have looked a tad dryish/hard), but when I incorporated all elements into single bite, it was magical. All different flavors and textures blended in perfectly, especially the white chocolate cream, which was bridging them together seamlessless. So it did not only look good, it tasted even better. In the second visit I had the white chocolate cherry tart. It looks pretty darn normal, but again, the layers of flavors/textures are so well thought. Pretty convinced they made their own cherry fillings coz it was not sweet at all and rich with natural cherry aroma; and there’s actually a layer of dark chocolate alongside the cherry underneath the smooth but strong chocolate cream; at the bottom of the tart it has a nice crust. Different intensity/texture of chocolate elements came through at different time, with a nice fruitiness at the base. I wanted to order a 2nd one (also the last one available) right away, but another customer came in so I let the chance to them. That said, my 3rd visit was ordinary. I went for a cake with similar cherry+chocolate combination, but it didn’t have as much layers of flavor. Partly because it wasn’t kept cold enough, and the textures weren’t as varied. But it still tasted good, just not as stellar as the other twos. The coffee they served were full-bodied too, which complemented the desserts very well. Ambience-wise, it’s a small tucked-in cafe, but stylish enough and has strong WiFi. But the star here was really the dessert.
