Seoul Art Tour and Urban Aesthetics.

Day 1: In the early morning, we visited the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, located near Gwanghwamun. The museum features a minimalist modern architectural style, with large glass windows allowing sunlight to flood in, making the space feel more open and bright. As soon as we entered, we were captivated by the multimedia art installations in the exhibition hall. The innovative expressions of modern art were refreshing. Particularly noteworthy was the section dedicated to contemporary Korean society, which presented diverse perspectives and profound thoughts through video, painting, and sculpture. I spent a considerable amount of time in front of a large abstract painting, trying to feel the emotions hidden in the colors and lines. We had lunch at the museum's restaurant, where the Korean set meal was both healthy and delicious. In the afternoon, we walked to the nearby Gyeongbokgung Palace. Walking through the palace walls felt like traveling back in time, with the red pillars and blue tiles exuding an elegant ancient charm. We were especially fortunate to catch the gate guard ceremony, which deeply impressed us with its grandeur. In the evening, we hiked up the Bugaksan Trail, overlooking the entire city of Seoul. The sparkling lights against the night sky concluded a day filled with cultural experiences. Day 2: The second day was more relaxed and leisurely. Early in the morning, we headed to Samcheong-dong, where the alleys are filled with a strong artistic vibe, with various craft shops and cafes lining the streets. We chose a traditional Korean house converted into a tea house and enjoyed a warm cup of traditional Korean herbal tea. Then, we went to Insadong, where we watched street performers and bought some Korean-themed crafts as souvenirs. In the afternoon, we moved to Cheonggyecheon, a stream running through the city center, offering a rare sense of tranquility. We strolled and took photos, enjoying the slower pace of life. Finally, we visited the Dongdaemun Design Plaza, a landmark building that looks even more stunning under the night lights. The exhibitions inside the plaza, blending futuristic elements with Korean design concepts, were truly impressive. Under the brilliant lights, we concluded our two-day trip to Seoul, with the city's art and modernity deeply etched in our hearts.
