Shanghai Wildlife Park: Save time and effort, read this before you go

Just got back from the park, here are some tips, read this before you go! 09:00–17:00 (last entry at 16:00) Parking lot P2 is the closest to the entrance (usually has spaces before 10:30; CNY 30/day). It's best to arrive at 09:00, but 10:00 is also fine. Head straight to the sea lion show or the safari bus tour. [No extra charge] Route to avoid detours (save time, see the highlights, you can go the other way but this is the best route): Turn left after entering the park! (See the flamingos on the way back, they glow in the evening) Big Mouth Corridor, Sea Lion Show (10:00–10:30), Safari Bus Tour (take the bus to see the beasts, queuing + tour takes 1 hour) → Swan Lake, Ostriches/Penguins/Kangaroos/Alpacas/Giraffes/Pandas/Cheetahs, Beast Hill Show (14:15 or 15:15), Zebras/African Elephants/Asian Elephants, Lemur Island, Flying Bears/Ant Eaters/Small Animal Park, Macaws/Flamingos, Exit TIPS: 1. Try to go early! The animals are most active in the morning, and lazy after being fed in the afternoon, especially in the safari and feeding areas. 2. If you're with kids, don't take the tour bus or multi-person bikes. Bring a stroller! You can rent a stroller at the entrance to the Flamingo Restaurant. 3. Queuing + the safari bus tour takes about 1 hour. Sit on the right side of the bus to see more animals. The feeding bus is CNY 50, older kids can try it. 4. You can row a boat on Swan Lake, CNY 50/person/0.5 hours. There are lots of black and white swans, you can feed them. 5. Water Exploration, CNY 40/person/20 minutes, lots of rare animals, golden monkeys. 6. The feeding area is usually open 11:00–15:00, buy feeding tickets in advance for a discount. 7. The Beast Hill Show and Sun Plaza Show have similar content, but the Beast Hill Show is bigger and better, choose Beast Hill! Remember to queue at least 25 minutes in advance, we recommend Gate 4, it's shaded (e.g. for the 15:15 show, you can enter at 14:50, people usually start queuing at 14:30. If the show has already started or you don't want to queue, buy a VIP ticket, CNY 50/person (free for children under 90 cm). 8. There's a children's play area next to Beast Hill: Ferris wheel, bumper cars, pirate ship, etc. 9. You must visit Lemur Island, you can get up close to the animals for free. 10. The Small Animal Park has otters, marmots, sika deer, fennec foxes, and various monkeys, suitable for young children. Food See the map for restaurants in the park. The McDonald's at the Swan Restaurant is popular (expensive and not very good, you can order in advance on the app). We recommend bringing your own food.
