Fireworks View Under the Bridge?

#singaporetrip Watching fireworks is one of the best ways to ring in the new year in Singapore. The fireworks is usually done at the Singapore River in front of Marina Bay Sands making it picture-perfect. And since it's in front of MBS, there are a lot of viewpoint options for you to choose from. There paid and free options. Restaurants and rooftop bars are usually the paid options while parks, open spaces, walkways, etc. are the free ones. Some free locations are Merlion Park, Helix Bridge, Esplanade Concourse, MBS waterfront, The Promontory, etc. Opting for the free locations is a gamble since crowds will flock to these areas. My sister, friend and I decided to watch the fireworks but we have to look for a place that wouldn't be crowded. Through searching, we stumbled upon Bay East Garden. It's located at the other side of Gardens by the Bay with Marina Bay in between. Upon arriving via Tanjong Rhu MRT Station, we settled under the Benjamin Sheares Bridge and set up our foldable chairs and mat there. We arrived close to 6PM and right until midnight, the place was not crowded. Our view may not have been perfect but we still enjoyed our time while waiting. We also bought drinks from a nearby restaurant, Kontiki. Public restrooms are also available so no need to worry. Bay East Garden is currently under construction but the promenade is open to the public. The garden is accessible via public and private transport. The nearest MRT stations are Tanjong Rhu and Gardens by the Bay of brown line.
