Hvar - Off the Beaten Path

Hvar is a well know Croatian Island right off the coast of Split. It has been inhabited for thousands of years, with its old city ‘Stari Grad’ celebrating its 2400 birthday as a town. 🏔Maybe people will flock to the party town of Hvar and sit at the hotels in front of a pool, but if you take the extra effort you could find some magical views. The little abandoned village of Malo Grablje sits on top of the Hvar mountain and has some gorgeous views of the north and south side of the island. I would recommend getting electric bikes if you are a beginner and cycle to the top. 🌿 Hvar is also known as the lavender island with fields planted on the mountains of Hvar. The resemble Thai mountain fields but with lava Dee. some of them are deserted and have turned into forest which makes it even for enchanting. All in all, you can’t go wrong with a bike ride around the island and especially on the mountain tops.
