I've been to Wuzhen, but this place is quieter and perfect for a slow stroll. As night falls, the town lights up, and the bridges and flowing water look like a painting. It's a pleasure to stroll or dine here. 📍Address: Tongli Ancient Town, Suzhou, No. 1 Zhongchuan South Road, Suzhou 🚉Transportation: Take Suzhou Metro Line 4 to Tongli Station, then take a taxi to Tongli for CNY 10. 🕙Opening hours: 8:00–22:00 💰Ticket price: CNY 80/person (free after 5 pm) ⏳Recommended visit time: 4–5 hours (3–4 hours at night, 1–2 hours during the day) for a completely different experience! Attractions: Tuisi Garden Gengle Hall, Jiayin Hall Taiping Bridge, Jili Bridge, Changqing Bridge Secret Night food, bar street, and music performances. There are few shops open at 8–9 am, mainly breakfast shops. 🛏Accommodation: Tongli Sansu, Qingyuan Inn Reasonably priced, with a lovely courtyard. Spend time with friends at night, enjoy the tranquility, and feel the breeze. The owner is very friendly! 🍽Food recommendations: Zhuangyuan Pig Trotter: Tender pork skin and lean meat. Lemon Boneless Chicken Feet: Refreshing and delicious. Squirrel Mandarin Fish: A specialty dish (a bit pricey, I'll try it next time) Secret two People share three dishes for CNY 100 (Yuxiang shredded pork, five-spice beef brisket, local greens) with generous portions and delicious flavors. 📝Tips: The ancient town lights go out at 10 pm, so it's recommended to stay overnight to experience the night view. Set your destination to Tongli - Zhongchuan Bridge, as the walk to the ancient town is quite long. A riverside stroll is better than a boat ride. Bring: rain gear, sunscreen, and mosquito repellent (there may be mosquitoes in summer)
