Hongcun

Hongcun is a traditional Chinese village located in Hongcun Town, Yixian County, Anhui Province, at the southwestern foot of Huangshan Mountain. Hongcun is a "cow-shaped village" that looks like a cow lying on the mountain in front of the stream. Leigang is the cow's head, the ancient trees are the horns, the houses are the body, the water channels are the intestines, the Moon Pond is the stomach, the South Lake is the belly, and the four bridges over the river are the legs. Hongcun is surrounded by mountains on three sides, with a layout that is basically north-south, and is located in the center of the mountains and rivers. The ancient buildings in Hongcun are in the Hui style, with white walls and black tiles, and eaves that fly up.
