Hotel recommendation: Qingdao Jiaozhou Marriott Hotel, good value for money
I spent a whole December at the Jiaozhou Marriott Hotel, and it was perfect for a family like ours who just wanted to relax! I requested a room upgrade on the app, and the hotel generously upgraded me to a suite. There was a doorman at the entrance to open the door and carry my things, and the service was excellent. At first, because my child was quite tall, the hotel said they could exchange the welcome gift for breakfast, but when we checked in, they generously gave us breakfast, saying that it was our first time staying there. I chose 1,000 points as the welcome gift.
However, the lobby had a strong smell of paint, but the room didn't have any smell. The curtains were very good at blocking out light, so the three of us woke up late the next day. We had afternoon tea, happy hour, and breakfast for two days. Although I didn't take any photos, the breakfast was the best overall, better than happy hour and afternoon tea. There was a wide variety of breakfast options, including noodles and wontons, freshly made potstickers and yangzi pancakes, and Western breakfast items like waffles and croissants. However, the breakfast coffee machine wasn't as good as the one in the lounge. The afternoon tea desserts were obviously refrigerated, not freshly made, and there were only two types of desserts (a daifuku and a small cake) and four types of fruit. I didn't take any photos of the drinks. Let me tell you about this Marriott Hotel in a more down-to-earth and engaging way.
First of all, when you have dinner here, don't expect too much from the four hot dishes. Just think of them as something to fill your stomach. But! Their cocktails are really good, and they make you feel happy. The girls in the lounge are always smiling, which makes you feel warm inside. Oh, and the handsome guys at the front desk are always smiling too, which makes you feel good.
Then there's the gym and pool, which are very clean. Each piece of gym equipment has a towel and a bottle of mineral water. I rode a bike for a while, and when I finished my water, the staff immediately replaced it. This left a deep impression on me, and their service is really attentive.
However, there are some downsides. The location is a bit remote, which doesn't matter much to people like us who like to stroll along the beach. But! There's a construction site, and work has already started. If you're a light sleeper, you should consider this.
Overall, this Marriott is good value for money. If I have time in the future, I'll consider coming here for a short vacation.
