I was tired from the flight today, so I went straight to the hot springs when I arrived! I went to "Shigira Golden Hot Springs". It was my first time using a private room. The hot springs here are not diluted with water♨ The open-air baths are fed directly from the source! And as the name of the hot spring suggests, the water is golden✨😆 Because it's a private room, they will bring you food and drinks if you order from the cafe on the premises! Tunchi is a national scenic spot and natural monument. From above, the two ponds of similar size resemble a pair of eyes, hence they are also known as the Dragon's Eyes. The cobalt blue waters of Tunchi are separated by a natural stone bridge. In fact, the ponds are connected underwater, and the one closer to the sea is also connected to the open sea. The name Tunchi comes from this connection. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely walk along the pondside trail to appreciate the scenery. To truly see this rare geographical feature, one must dive into the water to explore and experience its unique charm. However, caution is advised as the pond is about 50 meters deep and the journey involves passing through a dark underwater tunnel, which can be quite challenging for novice divers. The name '17 END' refers to the direction in which the airport runway extends. Due to land reclamation during the construction of Shimojishima Airport, the direction of the ocean currents changed, resulting in the accumulation of sand to form a beach. However, this beach only appears during low tide, hence it is also known as the 'Phantom Beach'. In addition to the endless azure Miyako blue seascape and the pristine white Phantom Beach, capturing the moment of an airplane's ascent or descent has made 17 END the most popular check-in spot on Shimojishima.

I have the impression that there are a lot of hamburger restaurants in Miyakojima! I wanted to eat a delicious hamburger with avocado in it! I looked into it, arrived on the island, and had a late lunch at around 3pm🍔 Maybe because of the time of day, there was another group who entered the restaurant at the same time as us. The restaurant was near Painagama Beach! It looked like there was enough space to park about two cars. The restaurant was spacious and stylish. I ordered an avocado cheese fries set♡ Of course, I had a Coke (not a zero-calorie drink). After waiting a little while (about 20 minutes?) after ordering, the hamburger arrived and I was happy with how it looked! I was given a paper bag to eat it in. The crispy bun, meaty patty, long-awaited avocado, and orange Cobb dressing all matched well, and the taste was lighter than it looked. The fries were also seasoned and crunchy, like a snack. The salad vegetables were fresh and delicious, so I ate the whole plate in one go 😋 The staff was also very nice, and because of the time of day, they were working alone, so they apologized for the delay, but... Ayanna Miyakojima consists of seven suite villas overlooking the beautiful Miyako blue sea. Each villa has a private pool, sophisticated interior and full facilities. I was surprised to see a large TV stored away. It was also helpful to have a washer/dryer. One of the best parts of traveling is eating at your destination. I recommend Miyako Parlor Haisai for a night out in Miyakojima. It seems to be a popular izakaya, and although I made a reservation, I was only able to reserve a seat a little later. The only disappointment was that the most popular dish, "Katsuo wo Fisherman Darede," was not available that day. However, the quality and volume of the food, and the variety of drinks that give you a taste of Miyakojima, made it a worthwhile visit. Everything was delicious, and the tuna tartare yukke had no raw fishy smell at all, and the sticky tuna served on a baguette was a dish that went well with alcohol.
