Prague Must-Visit: Café Louvre
If you like classic European cafés, then Café Louvre is definitely worth a visit. Founded in 1902, this café is not only a cultural gem of Prague, but has also been frequented by celebrities such as Franz Kafka and Albert Einstein.
As you step into Café Louvre, you'll be greeted by high ceilings, vintage chandeliers, soft pink walls, and elegant wooden tables and chairs, all full of the elegant style of 19th-century European cafés. This is not only a good place to have a cup of coffee, the meals are also worth seeing. The signature Czech goulash, with rich carrot cream sauce and slow-cooked beef tenderloin, every bite is full of warm homely feeling. The Czech version of duck confit may not have as crispy skin as the French version, but the meat is tender and juicy, with a hint of smoke and spice, and the more you chew it, the more delicious it becomes. As for the Czech fried pork chops, they were a bit dry and lacked a sense of surprise.
Whether you come here to have a cup of coffee, taste Czech cuisine, or simply enjoy the unique atmosphere of this century-old cafe, Café Louvre is definitely worth adding to your Prague trip list!
