The Grand Baoen Temple Heritage & Scenic Area is located on the south bank of Qinghai river near Zhonghua gate in Nanjing. The museum depicts the birth of buddhism as a religion in China & the history of the temple which stands as a giant structure made of porcelain. I’m not a big fan of museums, but this one was truly mind blowing with relics, carvings, paintings & and immersive art exhibition. There are few restaurants inside with a Costa coffee & ice cream vendors. At the exit, grab some artsy souvenirs from the massive gift shop. The Grand Baoen Pagoda

This place was bigger and more magnificent than I expected. You can easily spend 1 to 2 hours inside viewing all the displays. To get there, I took a taxi from Xuanwu Lake, and it cost around 25 yuan. The entrance fee was 90 yuan, and it was worth it. They didn't only have displays but also different VR experiences. When you arrive, you need to go downstairs (staircase to the left) to buy tickets before going through the entrance. I studied and lived in Nanjing for many years. It was only after I left that I realized how beautiful it is. On the weekend, I went to Nanjing with my best friend. Our first stop was the Porcelain Tower of Nanjing. The Porcelain Tower of Nanjing, Linggu Temple, and Tianjie Temple were the three major temples of Nanjing. The Porcelain Tower of Nanjing was destroyed in the Taiping Rebellion in 1856. Only the ruins remain, but it is still worth a visit. Transportation: Take Metro Line 1 to Zhonghuamen Station (Exit 2), walk about 1 km, or transfer to a bus to Dabaoensi Ruins Park Station. Autumn is a colorful season. I took some photos at the entrance, including the Porcelain Tower of Nanjing. It is said that the night view is more spectacular, but the lights were not on when we finished our visit.
