What screams 5 star Luxury more than the Intercontinental Beijing Sanlitun? Arguably one of the best hotels in Beijing, this hotel located in the heart of Sanlitun is like Royalty. With immaculate architecture and service, this is one of my favorite places to stay. The room is too top, I booked the king room which is circular in shape with a stand alone bathtub and great view from the window. I also love that there is a gym and pool that is accessible for guests as well as buffet breakfast that’s to die for 😋. To experience the real Beijing style, take a tour of Sanlitun area or simply do nothing, just quietly take a walk and appreciate the art installations that can be seen everywhere. Intercontinental Hotel, Tongli Center, Sanlitun, Beijing has long been a popular landmark in Sanlitun.  The striking architectural appearance of the building highlights the design concept of the hotel which is inspired by the hexagonal diamond element on the building’s façade. Through the analysis of a diamond’s formation, which is made from constantly refining and polishing the rugged stone, the design adopts the cutting and luster of the diamond to shape the space. This concept is applied throughout the architectural plan layout and in almost every elevation detail. The design looks exquisite and elegant, yet stylish and avant-garde. The spatial space is created through the configuration of various designer furniture pieces and artworks with effective lighting to build up the atmosphere and the dynamic rhythm of the hotel. As the preferred venue for Beijing Central Banquets and Conferences, InterContinental Beijing Sanlitun has more than 1,500 square meters of banquet space, including 800 square meters of the grand ballroom and 8 function rooms, which can meet the needs of new couples. For a wedding, in order to make the overall space more decorated, the decoration of the top of the ballroom is usually an essential part.

Beijing Sanlitun Tongying Center Intercontinental Hotel Check-in Experience I was bored at home during the pandemic, so I booked a room at the Sanlitun Tongying Center Intercontinental Hotel. The front desk upgraded me to an executive suite. Here is my check-in experience. Location The location is very good, in the Sanlitun area, where all the trendy people gather. There are plenty of places to eat, drink, and have fun. There are also other luxury hotels nearby, such as the Opposite House and Chao. Facilities The hotel was designed by CCD and is very exquisite. However, the lobby is small and feels a bit crowded compared to other Intercontinental hotels. The lobby bar is right next to the front desk, so there is not much privacy. The executive suite is about 90 square meters. There is a small guest bathroom and a cloakroom at the entrance. The living room and bedroom are combined, so there is no privacy in the bedroom, but the whole room is very open. The window faces the China World Trade Center, and you can see the China Zun. Compared to the popular "Sanlitun View Suite," the view is more open. The bathroom is large, with a double sink and a full set of Lanvin toiletries. The round bathtub is the largest I have ever seen in a hotel and can accommodate two people. The only downside is that the toilet is not electric. Service The hotel service was the most disappointing part of my stay. The front desk, cleaning, and room service staff all seemed very perfunctory, not as good as other hotels of the same level, such as Conrad and JW Marriott. I hope they can improve. Dining Due to the pandemic, the executive lounge was closed, so I only had breakfast delivered to my room. I filled out the breakfast form in the evening, and the breakfast was delivered to my room at the agreed time the next day. Although it was during the pandemic, there were still many options. The minibar in the room is free, and there are TWG tea bags and capsule coffee. Other The gym and swimming pool were closed during the pandemic, so I will have to come back another time. Soundproofing/Cleanliness: The overall hygiene was good, and the soundproofing was also good. Room type/Layout: The executive suite is large and well laid out, with a living room and bedroom connected. Supplies/Facilities: Equipped with a full set of Lanvin toiletries, and a large round bathtub. Per capita consumption: The price varies depending on the room type and promotions. Other tips: The hotel is in a good location, with plenty of amenities nearby, making it a good choice for travel.

Today I'm going to share my experience at the InterContinental Beijing Sanlitun. I visited the CBD View Suite and the Sanlitun View Suite. Room review: The CBD View Suite has a very open view. Although it's a suite, there's no strict division between the living room and bedroom. The two-in-one space is very large. At the same time, the higher floors offer a panoramic view of the CBD. The glass is also clean. The bathroom area has a dry and wet separation + double basin, and the bathtub is also very good. For the Sanlitun View Suite, I personally suggest booking a lower floor, preferably around the 14th floor. If it's too high, it will be higher than the buildings in Sanlitun, and you won't be able to see anything. The living room area is smaller than the CBD View Suite, and the bathroom orientation is not so ideal. I personally recommend the CBD Suite, the room is really good. Public area review: The hotel is located on the side of Sanlitun SOHO, the location is excellent. The first floor is the hotel's front desk + lobby bar + flower shop. The third floor is the hotel's Chinese restaurant + steakhouse + Spanish restaurant + buffet restaurant. The private rooms in the Chinese restaurant have no view, and the furnishings are relatively poor. The buffet restaurant is not large. The Spanish restaurant is well decorated, but the orientation is average. So among these four restaurants, only the steakhouse is very good, with a good view, and it can also be a bar at certain times. Every four floors is the hotel's banquet hall + small meeting room, if you want to eat Chinese food, you might as well ask if the private room can be moved here. The gym on the fifth floor is still in normal operation after the storm. The gym is very large and the facilities are very new, the pool orientation is good, and the area is also particularly large, this floor is currently being renovated for a spa. The 22nd floor is the hotel's executive lounge, the view/production/area and decoration all look quite exquisite. The room card of this hotel is the regular card of InterContinental Hotels. In general, looking at the public areas and rooms, the feeling is okay, the location is also very good, different customers may have different considerations for specific service details and product quality.

The rooms are overall transparent and bright, simple and elegant yet modern. There are many distinctive lighting designs in the room, each different but perfectly matching the overall atmosphere. The service is also excellent, with staff proactively helping with luggage even in the early morning. 👍 Points worth praising: - A recently renovated hotel in Haidian District, which is quite rare. The lobby, rooms, and public facilities are all very new (it seems to be the closest quality hotel to Tsinghua University besides Peking University Boya). - I like the overall Chinese-style design, including the ornaments in the lobby, the design of the stairwells, and the tables, chairs, and tea sets in the rooms, all of which have a Chinese aesthetic. - The color scheme is both elegant and atmospheric, and it gives a very comfortable visual experience (here I criticize some hotels with too many colors hhh). - The restaurant space is large, with plenty of seats, and offers a full range of Chinese and Western food. - The gym is spacious with a full range of equipment, and the 25-meter swimming pool with 4 lanes is very spacious. - Check-in was very efficient. 😕 A minor shortcoming: - The bathroom is a bit small for an executive room...
