This not only enriched Kanazawa with a rich cultural atmosphere and traditional crafts but also helped it avoid the bloodshed of the Edo period. Fortunately, Kanazawa was also spared from bombings during World War II, allowing the city to retain much of its historical charm. In such a historically rich place, wearing traditional Japanese kimono is a must for taking photos at spots like Kenrokuen Garden, Higashi Chaya District, and Kanazawa Castle. The most traditional kimono in Kanazawa is the Kaga Yuzen kimono, known for its vibrant colors and patterns. However, these are quite expensive and may not be suitable for those just looking to experience wearing a kimono. For a more affordable option, basic kimono sets are available for around HKD $200 to $300. There are many kimono rental shops in Kanazawa, but it's essential to book online or via email in advance. When we arrived at our reserved shop, there was already a sign indicating that all reservations for the day were full. Those familiar with Japan know that the Japanese value service and product quality, only offering what they can handle. The recommended kimono rental shop offers kimonos at various price points, allowing you to choose on the spot. On-site, there are over 500 women's kimonos available. 🇯🇵Kenrokuen, one of Japan's three most famous gardens

Like the Chinese royal family and dignitaries of all dynasties, the Japanese also have an inexplicable preference for gardens. Japanese gardens emphasize a kind of Zen. Although the regulations are different from those in China, they have the same purpose but the same purpose. Known as Japan's three most famous gardens, Kenroku-en is one of the important tourist attractions in Kanazawa. The entire park is so large that it takes about two to three hours to walk around. The amazing Kenroku-en Garden

Having visited many gardens across Japan, Kenrokuen Garden is definitely my personal favourite! Located in Kanazawa, the garden is a strolling type landscape garden of the Edo period and is a true masterpiece of Japanese landscape design. It has rightfully earned its status as one of the Three Great Gardens of Japan, having been designated as a national site of scenic beauty in 1922 and as a national site of special scenic beauty in 1985. Its name is derived from combining the six attributes of a perfect landscape garden: spaciousness, seclusion, artifice, antiquity, watercourses and panoramas. The garden appears totally natural but it's in fact man-made. It has many unique features, including the oldest Japanese fountain, raised root pine trees, a plum grove, winding streams with cherry trees on both sides. Now in early April, the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, and the sight of the pink flowers reflected in the still water is truly spectacular. Here you can also participate in a tea ceremony, a wonderful way to experience the elegance of Japanese culture. A visit I most definitely recommend!

Kenrokuen is a gorgeous and expansive park-like garden in the center of Kanazawa and it is the city’s major attraction.This beautiful park contains one of the top three celebrated gardens in Japan. The garden was created over the span of several hundred years by the Maeda family, and today is one of the best examples of a strolling-style Japanese landscape garden. The garden offers something to enjoy whatever the season. Kenrokuen is located in the center of Kanazawa City close to Kanazawa Castle Park. To get to Kenrokuen Garden from Kanazawa Station’s East Exit Bus Terminal you can take the Kanazawa Right Loop Bus from bus stop 7 or the Kenrokuen Shuttle Bus from bus stop 6. Both buses take about 16 minutes and the fare is 200 yen.

The pond reflected the full spectrum of autumn colors, with the shimmering water surface resembling another serene painting. Sunlight filtered through the treetops, making the leaves appear exceptionally translucent, as if they were gently burning in the twilight, quietly narrating the beauty of autumn. The beauty of Kenrokuen's maple leaves lies not only in their red color but in the rich layers of red, yellow, and green that blend harmoniously with the traditional Japanese landscaping within the garden. Walking along the winding paths, the stone lanterns, streams, moss, and various trees create a thickly autumnal picture. Every corner and every step reveals different scenery, making one pause to savor the tranquility. The photos were taken in the evening, with the setting sun casting a soft golden hue over Kanazawa's sky, making the red of the maple leaves even more vivid. As a few crows flew over the treetops, the entire scene added a touch of the unique aesthetic beauty of Japanese gardens—both the melancholy of late autumn and the harmony of nature. The maple leaves of Kenrokuen are not just a visual delight but also a spiritual retreat. In late November, the temperature in Kanazawa cools down, and the air carries a slight moist chill that complements the autumn colors in the garden. Impressions of Kanazawa, Japan

. 🌺 My favorite part of this trip to Kanazawa, Japan, was Kanazawa Station 😆. Kanazawa Station (Figures 1️⃣2️⃣3️⃣) is known as one of the most beautiful train stations in Japan. It was designed by architect Ryuzo Shirae and completed in 2005. The glass and steel dome and the giant wooden gate resembling a torii gate present a very unique futuristic aesthetic. Another reason I like Kanazawa Station is that it is so popular! In fact, Kanazawa doesn't have many tourist attractions, and they are not very impressive, but Kanazawa is a hub for the Amaharashi Coast and Shirakawa-go, and there are long lines for the bus to Shirakawa-go every day. I love watching the crowds coming and going here, and the excitement and anticipation on their faces before they leave makes me feel the energy of the place. . 🌺 In Kanazawa, I recommend Kenrokuen Garden and the Ishikawa Prefectural Museum of Art. Kenrokuen Garden is exquisite and beautiful (Figures 4️⃣5️⃣6️⃣7️⃣), and the autumn garden is colorful. The Ishikawa Prefectural Museum of Art (Figures 8️⃣9️⃣⬆️) is quiet and has a large, beautiful garden. I especially recommend the Le Musee de H cafe in the museum, which is run by the famous pastry chef Hiroki Tsujiguchi from Ishikawa. I heard that the Tokyo store is hard to get a seat, but I only waited about five minutes to get into the Kanazawa store, and the environment was great, with a whole wall of floor-to-ceiling glass and the museum's courtyard outside (last picture), a perfect combination of architecture, food, humanity, and nature. The most memorable part of Kanazawa was this afternoon tea. . I turned back at the entrance of the famous 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art because there were too many people, and I lost interest 🙁. .

This time, I visited in winter ❄️ The garden and pond surrounded by snowy scenery were very atmospheric and beautiful. The garden has been designated as a special national scenic spot. I think you can take your time and look around while taking photos in about an hour ☺️ During the snowy season, the footing is poor, so I recommend wearing shoes that are not slippery. The name Kenrokuen means “having six factors”, representing the attributes which bring out the garden’s stunning beauty: spaciousness, tranquility, artifice, antiquity, water sources and magnificent views.The garden has an area of 11.4 hectares and is located on the heights of the central part of Kanazawa next to Kanazawa Castle. The Maeda family, who ruled the Kaga Domain (the present Ishikawa and Toyama areas) in feudal times, maintained the garden from generation to generation. It is regarded as one of the most beautiful feudal lords' gardens in Japan. Expansive traditional Japanese garden that is being maintained impeccably. There are many spots of historical significance which are denoted and explained in the park’s pamphlets, available at all the entrances. Tickets are 300 yen per person as of June 2024, and card payments are accepted at the entrances. There are multiple tearooms, vending machines and restrooms inside the park, as well as many benches that offer a respite for tired feet. The park has many interesting bird species, we were also fortunate to see a majestic crane. The park closes at 6 pm in summer, but monuments inside close an hour or two earlier.

Therefore, when you arrive at a place, make sure to buy your tickets🎫 in advance. 🏠Accommodation In Kanazawa, we stayed for three days and two nights, choosing to stay at a chain hotel, Mitsui Garden Hotel, which has a large public bath♨️ and a laundry room🧺.
