Xiahaoli Old Street in Chongqing is on another level.
Great place to visit - Xiahaoli Old Street in Chongqing 🪨
🚇Transport: Line 6 subway, get off at "Shangxin Street" station, Exit 1
⏰Lights: Lights on at 18:30
🎫Tickets: Free 🆓 No reservation required
//
Experience:
I came to Xiahaoli for this view 🏞️ and it was worth it! The staggered layout is really special. You never know which floor you're on 🥰 There are many interesting shops on the old street. If you're tired, you can go into a shop and have a coffee ☕ It's a good choice 😄
Ps:
1️⃣⚠️"Longmenhao Old Street" and "Xiahaoli Old Street" are two different places, but they're very close to each other‼️
2️⃣When you enter, you can first check in at the "I am in Chongqing" graffiti wall. It's easier to take photos when there are fewer people.
3️⃣The scenery is different in the evening. It's recommended to go at 4 pm so you can experience both types of scenery ❤️

It's like going back to old Chongqing, I still like the old place.
▶️ Longmenhao Old Street, hidden in Nan'an District, Chongqing, is an ancient street ✅
▶️ It is like an album of time, with every corner depicting the past glory. Looking along the street, the ancient buildings bear the traces of time, and the mottled walls seem to tell stories of the past. On the stone road, stepping on the footsteps of time, it seems that you can hear the cries of ancient merchants and the laughter in the streets and alleys ✅
▶️ The shops on the old street are full of traditional atmosphere. Traditional handicrafts, handicrafts, antiques, etc. are dazzling. The shopkeepers enthusiastically introduce their products, as if telling every visitor the stories behind these items ✅
▶️ The food on Longmenhao Old Street is not to be missed. From street snacks to traditional dishes, each one is full of unique flavors. Those familiar flavors make people feel like they have returned to that era and feel that unique feeling ✅
▶️ Here, you can also see the living conditions of local residents. They walk leisurely on the street, or sit in the teahouse on the street chatting, enjoying the peace and tranquility. This lifestyle makes people feel extremely relaxed and comfortable ✅
▶️ The Longmenhao Old Street at night has a different flavor. The lights shine on the ancient buildings, making them particularly beautiful. Walking here is like being in an ancient dream, making people intoxicated ✅
▶️ Longmenhao Old Street is not only an old street, but also a witness of history and a cultural heritage. It records the historical changes of Chongqing and also shows the traditional lifestyle of the local people. Every time you come here, you can feel the unique charm and charm ✅

Chongqing's hidden gem.
My favorite place in Chongqing! It's a thousand times better than Hongya Cave!||If you want to experience the authentic mountain city trails and the old mountain city, you can't miss Longmenhao Old Street and Xiahaoli when you go city walking in Chongqing! These two places have more of the old Chongqing flavor than Hongya Cave.
There are many old consulate sites (Belgium, Italy, etc.), the old street style of green bricks and tiles, and the Dongshuimen Yangtze River Bridge and the Huguang Guild Hall on the other side of the river. Various coffee shops and cultural and creative shops have their own characteristics!
There are also many photo spots that Xiao Zhan has visited, so come and check them out!
🚇Transportation:
Subway to Exit 1 of Shangxin Street → Xiahaoli
Exit 2 → Longmenhao
❗It is recommended to visit Longmenhao Old Street first and take a photo of the Chongqing frame 🖼, and then visit Xiahaoli (go to Xiahaoli when it is almost dark, the shops will light up at night and the photos will be better! The lights will be on around 6:30, it's really beautiful! p1.2)
These are two very suitable places for city walking 🚶🏻♂️, and they are quite interesting, but you will get tired from walking, but there are many cafes 🍵 where you can rest for a while.

Chongqing|Longmenhao Old Street·Xiahaoli.
If we say, Qianxiangmen Bridge🌉 is the "companion" bridge of Hongyadong.
Then, Dongshuimen Bridge🌉 can also be the "companion" of Longmen Hao Old Street‼ ️
👉🏻In Chongqing, if you don’t want to queue at the Qianxiangmen Bridge, it will be difficult to walk.
I don’t want to be crowded in Hongya Cave either.
Then, you can choose to come to Longmenhao Old Street, which has beautiful scenery and few people. 🎦
🔹Longmenhao Old Street·Xiahaoli was formerly known as Xiahao, a century-old street. Walking into the old street is like talking to time. There are stories in the gray walls and rubble📖. If you like to take pictures, like few people, and feel the original style of the old mountain city⛰️🏠, I suggest you come to Xiahaoli for a walk.
Make an appointment with a few friends on the weekend and go to Longmenhao Old Street to find a corner to bask in the sun🌞.
It can definitely make your whole body warm from the sun.
🏠Longmen Hao Old Street has a long history, dating back thousands of years.
The entire old street is composed of more than 200 buildings from different periods built on the mountain⛰️.
It was once famous as the residence for the attaché of the United States Embassy.
In addition to the U.S. Embassy, it was also the site of the Italian Embassy and the Belgian Embassy.
🌇The entire old street is across the river from Raffles City.
Echoing the Sheraton Hotel.
The ropeway slides slowly aside.
The Dongshuimen Bridge, an ultra-modern design spanning the Yangtze River, silently guards Longmenhao Old Street.
⚠️Taking photos📸Camera ~ Key points:
△Houzhen Mansion: The tranquility of Wangjiang’s small foreign-style building
△Yangtze River Cableway: Photo taken with the Yangtze River Cableway and the Twin Towers on the Yangtze River
△After going down the mountain: Internet celebrity check-in point at the hotel entrance, hotel courtyard
△Chuandong Road: near Chuandong Road
△Outside the city: Longmen Haoyue took a photo with the Yangtze River Cableway
△Belgian Restaurant: Internet celebrity orange ball and building wall
△Selfie Photo Studio: Red, black, and white cool colors are easy to produce.
△Xiahaoli internet celebrity check-in point: go down the stone staircase next to the Xiahaoli Immigration Bureau and overlook the best location in Xiahaoli
△"This is very Chongqing" wall🧱: The red house in Building 1, Xiahaoli
—————————
Tips: Just walk, shop and take pictures at the same time. Every corner will be interesting.
📍Attractions: Longmenhao Old Street·Xiahaoli
🔍Address: No. 3 Mishi Street, Xiahao Community, Nan'an District, Chongqing
🚇Transportation: Take Exit 1 of "Shangxinjie Station" of Metro Line 6. After exiting, walk forward for ten meters and turn right.
🎫Ticket: Free🈚️
🔺Other tips:
Nearby things to do: Along the way, you can go to the Kaibu Heritage Park, the Yangtze River Cableway, and La La Land (there are even more movies here when you check in at night). You can also walk across the river and along the Dongshuimen Bridge for 15 minutes to the Yuzhong District Lake.

Listen to advice, this place is 1000 times more fun than Hongya Cave
As a native Chongqing person, I have to tell you, if you want to experience the authentic mountain city trails and the characteristics of the old mountain city, I suggest you go directly to Longmenhao and Xiahao. These two places have more of the old Chongqing flavor compared to Hongya Cave, and the two attractions are adjacent to each other, so you can visit them together.
🚗Transportation: Exit 2 of Metro Line 6
Walk about 5 minutes to reach Longmenhao Old Street, go all the way downhill, and finally find the elevator to return to the top floor. Cross the road and you will be at Xiahao, then go all the way downhill and stroll leisurely. The whole journey is quite easy!
🌉Itinerary (Longmenhao👉Xiahao👉Clock Tower Square)
1. It is recommended to start playing at 5 pm, first go to Longmenhao for a stroll, and when the sun is about to set, face the Dongshuimen Bridge to take a stunning sunset photo!
2. When it is almost dark, go to Xiahao. At night, the shops light up, making it perfect for photos! Along the way, you can see tea houses, bookstores, and coffee shops, all of which are great for photo ops.
3. When you come out of Xiahao, you will be on Nanbin Road. At this time, the lights of Dongshuimen Bridge and Raffles City are on. You can walk along Nanbin Road towards Clock Tower Square (about 1.6 kilometers), enjoying the beautiful riverside night view along the way. Cross the road directly opposite Clock Tower Square to the riverside, which is the shooting spot in picture 9️⃣. Here, you can sit down, chat, and enjoy the river breeze. We stayed here until the lights of Raffles City went out before leaving, very pleasant~
⚠️⚠️⚠️The night scene lights will turn off at 11 o'clock, so be sure to pay attention to the time. Finally, I wish everyone a happy time~😘

Chongqing Photo|10,000 times better than Hongyadong! Longmenhao Old Street, which is beyond the film.
Chongqing travel is not just about Hongyadong, Raffles City, and Jiefangbei
This mountain city trail is even more worth checking in
Not only is it better than Hongyadong, but it's also easy to take photos
Longmenhao Old Street + Xiahao Li Old Street
Built on the mountain, with blue bricks and tiles, it is very impressive. The distant Jiefangbei city view echoes, giving a sense of ancient and modern.
You can make an appointment with your friends to hang out here all day, have a coffee, eat a hot pot, and then see the beautiful night view. It's so comfortable!

To capture these photos, I specifically took a trip to Chongqing
I flew to Chongqing a while ago, which was also my first visit there. I didn't check in at Hongya Cave, nor did I go to the popular Guanyin Bridge. Just the chaotic arrangement of floors here made me, a foreigner, get lost in this steel forest~
After a day of rushing around Chongqing, I picked up my camera to deeply experience the magical charm of the 8D city! I got several satisfying shots and blew up my friends' social feeds! I quickly organized the shooting locations and routes, so if any friends need it, remember to save it first!
✅ Itinerary
Daytime: Laojun Cave in Nanshan - Longmenhao Old Street - Raffles City
Evening: Kaibu Ruins Park - Chongqing Grand Theatre Parking Lot
In the afternoon, I took a taxi to the intersection of Longteng Avenue/Xie Xiaolu to shoot the Egongyan Bridge location. However, it's a bit far, so those who are not interested can go to Baxiangju to shoot the popular location of the Yangtze River Cableway. The cableway 🚠 was under maintenance on the day we went, so we didn't get to shoot it.
❇️📸 Specific Locations
📍 Longmenhao Old Street - Next to Shan Du Holiday Hotel
A door frame in the old street perfectly frames the Yangtze River Bridge. Navigate to the hotel, and you can see it from the path at the hotel entrance.
📍 Laojun Cave in Nanshan - South Heaven Gate
The mottled vermilion gate frames the bustling cityscape. Besides climbing and ascending, it's also super efficacious to draw lots here, you can give it a try.
📍 Raffles City
Locate Hongyu Plaza, the busy street scene and the soaring modern buildings create a strong visual impact, and you can also see Chongqing's porters! The occasional passing yellow taxi is also very photogenic~ It was shot on the Shaanxi Road overpass when passing by.
📍 Egongyan Bridge
Locate the intersection of Longteng Avenue/Xie Xiaolu, a magical location with four layers of bridges stacked together, where the light rail and dense traffic flow are in the same frame, which is stunning. If you go in the morning, you can also capture the sunrise.
📍 Chongqing Kaibu Ruins Park
This newly built free 180° viewing platform is amazing, and not many people know about it yet, you can also capture a La La Land-like feeling.
📍 Grand Theatre Parking Lot
Navigate directly to the parking lot, where you can shoot the bustling night view of Hongya Cave and Jialing River Bridge. There are more people here, so it's recommended to avoid the crowd and go later. The lighting time ends at 11 pm.
📍 Chongqing Jiangbei Airport T3 Terminal
After the plane lands, go directly to the overpass at the 7th arrival exit of T3 Terminal, I've seen a lot about it online, but it's still shocking to see so many yellow Ferraris with my own eyes.
Chongqing is a city I will definitely revisit, and there are still many places I haven't had the chance to visit. There's also a lot of food, especially hot pot, which is quite friendly to a Zhejiang stomach with a mild spiciness~

Longmenhao Old Street is a really nice place for photos back across the Yangtze River to Central Chongqing. Come in the afternoon for brunch at one of the many cute cafes or wait until dark for the city lights to come on.

Quaint, labyrinthine place that is worthy of a 2-hour stay. Bring a book or eat sesame dumplings!
Longmenhao and Xiahao Lane are both accessed from the same metro station, Shangxinjie 上新街 (orange Circle Line),just different exits. Clear directional signs from the station; whether you start from Longmenhao or Xiahao Lane, you will be able to cross over to the other side once you get to the confluence point which is a mini idyllic waterfall in the cratered landscape. I really enjoyed wandering and getting lost in the multi-directional pathways. Spend some time at one of the cafes to soak in the place. There are a few cool boutiques: got myself a unique, quality handmade silver ring at a good price. I can imagine this place being very romantic at night. Will definitely come back again when I return to Chongqing in future. Highly recommended. #artsy #cafe #solotrip #china

Chongqing's Bund | Longmenhao Old Street
In the mountain city of Chongqing, on the south bank of the Yangtze River, Longmenhao is home to hundreds of historical buildings from different periods, bearing witness to Chongqing's thousand-year history.
The name Longmenhao is said to have been given by Su Shi, inspired by a stone beam on the riverbank with a gap in the middle, like a door, with water flowing through the gap to form a shallow bay (Chongqing people call this kind of terrain "hao").
Unequal treaties in modern times led to the opening of Chongqing as a port, allowing foreign ships to enter the Yangtze River, and this area became home to foreign businesses and consulates.
During the War of Resistance Against Japan, Chongqing became the provisional capital, and this area became home to embassies from various countries.
These buildings from different eras are built on the mountain, at different heights. Walking among them is like walking through different historical paintings. It's a great way to exercise and experience the local history and culture.

Chongqing Longmenhao Travel Guide.
📍Attraction Address: Chongqing Longmenhao Old Street
🚗Attraction Transportation: The light rail Line 6, Loop Line, and buses are very convenient. Exit 2 of the Loop Line, turn left at the bus stop, and turn left at the traffic light. Walk forward for dozens of meters, and you will see the Longmenhao sign.
Parking is inconvenient here, so it is best to take public transportation.
👍️Must-visit attractions:
★1. Glass Viewing Platform: From here, you can see Dongshuimen Bridge, Raffles City, and the Yangtze River. The golden sunset shines on the river, and the sparkling water is very beautiful. The viewing platform is about 400 meters from Exit 2 of the Loop Line. Go straight to the end. You need to wear shoe covers to enter the viewing platform. Shoe covers are free to use, so you have to queue during peak hours. However, the quality of the shoe covers is not good. If you go next time, you should bring your own shoe covers. Pictures 1-2

Chongqing Longmenhao Old Street | A niche attraction not to be missed.
Longmenhao Old Street is built on the mountainside⛰️, opposite Raffles City Plaza, 15 minutes by car from Dongshuimen Yangtze River Bridge‼️
This is the most characteristic old street in the mountain city, with a drop of nearly 50 meters, you can experience the "climbing up and down" of Chongqing🚶♀️
Blue brick and tile, layer upon layer, bluestone path, rainy arcade, unique architectural style of Chinese and Western fusion, and heavy cultural memory, give each building a different style and taste. Looking at the distance from the waist of the old street, the cable car and the river view are all in sight🌇🚠
Inside and outside the alley: a gathering of various delicacies and snacks☕️🍢
Green mountains, green water, ancient trees, courtyards, old streets and alleys, stroll through Longmenhao, travel through the time and space of history, listen to the morning and evening bells of Julin Temple, and look at the colorful clouds of the setting sun on the Yangtze River. The waves chase the waves for thousands of years, and half of the river is full of smoke and half of the city.

🏮 Overview: Longmenhao Old Street is a charming and historical area that transports you back in time with its traditional architecture and rich cultural atmosphere. It’s located along the Yangtze River and is one of Chongqing’s well-preserved streets, offering a nostalgic glimpse into the city’s past.
🌸 Highlights: Wander through the narrow lanes filled with old wooden houses, small shops, and local eateries. The street offers beautiful views of the river, making it a great place for a leisurely stroll. There are also small museums and exhibitions showcasing Chongqing’s history.
📸 Photography Tips: The traditional architecture and river views provide excellent photo opportunities, especially during the golden hour when the light softens the scene.
👟 What to Wear: Comfortable shoes are essential as the street is quite hilly and uneven in places. Dress in layers if visiting in cooler weather since the river breeze can make it chilly.
