War Remnants Museum Saigon city
The Vietnam War (also known by other names) was a conflict in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia from 1 November 1955to the fall of Saigon on 30 April 1975.It was the second of the Indochina Wars and was officially fought between North Vietnam and South Vietnam. The north was supported by the Soviet Union, China, and other communist states, while the south was supported by the United States and other anti-communist allies. The war is widely considered to be a Cold War-era proxy war.It lasted almost 20 years, with direct U.S. involvement ending in 1973. The conflict also spilled over into neighboring states, exacerbating the Laotian Civil War and the Cambodian Civil War, which ended with all three countries becoming communist states by 1975.

Choose between dozens of Saigon clubs!
it’s ultimately your choice on where to party in downtown Saigon. There is an endless supply of nightclubs and places to entertain you all the way into the wee hours of the evening. I took these shots during the daytime hours so that you could clearly see where are you going and what you want to do. At night these clubs are lit up and a vast array of exciting neon lights and the people on the street are just as colorful.#2023travelwish #mytripvlog #tripblazers #beachlife #saigon

the largest city in Vietnam
Ho Chi Minh City, formerly called Saigon still preserve beautiful colonial buildings from the era when was the capital of French colony.
It is located in south Vietnam, on the banks of the Saigon River, not far from the South China Sea.
Is the largest city in the country, just few kilometers away from the chaotic metropolitan area there are beautiful and peaceful green rice fields.

saigon this is my first day for long Covid I’m back Ho Chi Minh . first is very busy later later at night is very quiet. #saigon . I love Saigon at night time then morning. not too busy for many car driving. I have my Internet driving license so I can drive here. but let me tell you this in the morning time is so crazy when you drive in so many people, they can come to you all the time I don’t care let’s remember this when you’re driving don’t be scared if you scare you will hit someone’s, but you not scare. You won’t be at Saigon people driving like crazy they don’t care they just want to go fast. It never have speed for you to breathe.. So crazy but don’t dry is hard to dry for the parking in downtown.

Devastating war history exhibited at Saigon

Address: War Remnants Museum, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Entrance Fee: 40000 VND/ adult
Opening hours: 7:30am to 5pm everyday
The War Remnants Museum examines the scars of the Vietnam War through well-arranged exhibits of pictures, documents, and artifacts throughout the years of French colonization, Vietnamese struggle to freedom, Soviet influence and US proxy war. All the weapons, materials and remains have been curated and exhibited with ample information and well preserved. Before I had been to Vietnam, I had very little knowledge about Vietnamese war that spanned in decades before I was born. Out of all the travels I had inside Vietnam, the war remains most eye opening and tragic to me which makes sense if we compare it to today’s situation. Decades of colonization and wars left the country in shambles but Vietnamese have been resilient and built back their country that they’ve opened again to the world. Totally worth the visit if you are in southern part of Vietnam.

Exploring Ho Chi Minh many adventures 😀
On vacation to Vietnam for the first time, it's very very interesting and exciting. Guided with a map of Ho Chi Minh City that we got at the airport, of course, which featuring many places that must be visited while in city, we decided to walk to explore all corners of the city according to the directions on the city tourist map. There are a lots of great good hidden places including the churches which we passed by. The church is very artistic building, there is a cave of Mary, there is a place to pray too. even though we didn't understand the meaning of the Vietnamese writing, it didn't lesser our enthusiasm to see and document everything we see. It was very impressive experience.

Vietnamese coffee culture.
Vietnamese coffee culture in Saigon is an absolute delight for coffee lovers. During my visit to this bustling city, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in the unique coffee culture that is deeply ingrained in the daily lives of locals.
One of the first things that struck me about Vietnamese coffee culture was the emphasis on quality and flavor. Traditional Vietnamese coffee is typically brewed using a small metal filter called a "phin." This slow-drip technique allows the coffee to steep, resulting in a rich and robust flavor. The coffee is then typically served with condensed milk, creating a smooth and sweet taste that is simply irresistible.
Saigon is also known for its many charming coffee shops that are tucked away in small alleyways and hidden corners. These cafes offer a cozy and relaxed ambiance, making them perfect places to unwind and sip on a delicious cup of coffee. The walls are often adorned with unique artwork, and the soft background music adds to the cozy atmosphere.
What also amazed me about Vietnamese coffee culture is the variety of coffee options available. From traditional iced coffee (cà phê sữa đá) to egg coffee (cà phê trứng), there is something for every coffee enthusiast to try. Each variation brings its own distinct flavor and charm.
Additionally, the coffee shops in Saigon offer more than just a caffeine fix. They serve as great places for socializing and people-watching. The streets of Saigon are always buzzing with locals and tourists enjoying their coffee while engaging in lively conversations or simply observing the vibrant city life.
The coffee culture in Saigon is truly unique and special. It is not just about the drink itself, but also the entire experience that comes with it. From the distinctive brewing methods to the cozy ambiance of the coffee shops, every aspect of Vietnamese coffee culture adds to the charm of Saigon. If you're a coffee lover, I highly recommend exploring and enjoying the coffee culture in Saigon - it's a must-try experience!

Saigon’s Pink Church!
Wandering through Saigon and stumbled upon this pretty church. Free entry & not many people mean you pretty much have the church grounds to yourself! Very bright and stunning in the middle of an otherwise grey and not very exciting street.

Ben Thanh Market - Must-visit attractions in Ho Chi Mi
Haggle Hard For Best Bargain!
The market has everything you ever need. Ben Thanh Market is famous for its abundance of goods and local produce. This is an indoor market so it will keep you off the Saigon heat and still give you an authentic shopping experience. It will take you a long walk to fully explore the market and do not miss the food court as well as the meat and fish section to truly feel the lively and vibrant atmosphere going on.
At night, the surroundings turn into an open market with lines of shops selling fabric, clothes, leather products, and of course local street food. If you are looking for a place to buy souvenirs for your trip, this is it.

1Ho Chi Minh City is the largest airport in Vietnam, so for many tourists, travel around the country starts from here. The city was named after the first Vietnamese president and leader of the revolution half a century ago. However, both locals and visitors still call it Saigon. This name sounds more romantic: it echoes both the colonial past, when the city was called the Paris of the East, and the menacing peals of the Vietnam War.
In today's Ho Chi Minh City, skyscrapers made of glass and steel, typical of all Asian megacities, do not overshadow the European-style mansions that appeared at the end of the century before last. The rough, angular buildings of the socialist era do not look like an anachronism next to the shining windows of modern shops. Motorcyclists rush through the streets like a swarm of bees, and nearby, on the sidewalk, fragile girls in wicker conical hats and traditional aozai costumes swim slowly: a spacious shirt-dress over trousers.
2The metropolis is divided into two unequal parts by the Saigon River and consists of 19 urban areas and 5 rural counties. Some of them do not have a name, it is easier to remember them by numbers, like the districts of Paris. Of greatest interest to tourists is the very first district, located, like most of the entire city, on the western (right) bank of the river. In this area, travelers immediately head to the Notre Dame de Saigon Cathedral on Paris Square to admire its stained glass windows. Many take pictures of the facade of the local customs. It is decorated with stucco, one of the motifs of which is an opium poppy bud: once opium was an important source of income for the colony.

Ho Chi Minh City (Ho Chi Mihn City, or Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh), formerly Saigon (or Sài Gòn) is a major city in the southern part of Vietnam. It is also called the economic capital of the country. There is practically no beach holiday here, but there are many historical sights, delicious food and excellent shopping.
