Swissotel Nankai Osaka Review
When we first arrived in Osaka, we chose to stay at Swissotel Nankai Osaka, located in Namba at 5-1-60 Namba, Chuo-ku, Osaka-shi, Osaka 542-0076. From Kansai Airport, take the Nankai Electric Railway to Namba Station. After getting off the train, turn left and you will see an escalator. Take the escalator up to the Takashimaya Cartier, Rolex, and other luxury brand area. Go up one more floor to reach the hotel front desk. The location is very convenient, with various shopping malls and food streets nearby.
The hotel is located above Namba Station, with convenient transportation and connections to the subway and train network, making it ideal for exploring Osaka and the surrounding areas. The hotel's decor is modern yet cozy, the lobby is spacious and bright, the front desk staff are friendly, and check-in is quick. The hotel has complete facilities, including a gym, swimming pool, and various dining options. The check-in experience was great, with the front desk staff being very friendly and providing us with a temporary room to rest, which was very thoughtful! There is also a dedicated passageway next to the elevator that goes directly upstairs, eliminating unnecessary waiting.
Our room was on the 30th floor, with a great view of Osaka. The room layout is compact yet comfortable, with a very comfortable bed and excellent quality. Although the room is not large, it is well-designed and fully functional, providing all the facilities needed for travel. The view from the window is also great, especially at night when you can see the charming night view. The only downside is that the soundproofing is average, and you can sometimes hear sounds from the corridor or neighboring rooms.
The hotel breakfast is a buffet located in the scenic restaurant on the 36th floor. Enjoying a rich breakfast while overlooking the city every morning is a real treat. The breakfast offers a variety of options, from traditional Japanese breakfast to Western pastries, and tastes great.
It is a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel to Shinsaibashi and about 15 minutes to Kuromon Market, making shopping and dining very convenient. There are several restaurants downstairs, as well as the famous Dotonbori food street, where you can always find delicious food. Nearby are also Namba Ebisu-Bashi Shopping Street and Hozenji Temple, both worth a visit.
Of course, there are some shortcomings, such as some of the room facilities being a bit old, and although the breakfast is rich, some of the food is relatively ordinary. The wait time for check-out is sometimes a bit long and may need improvement. However, overall, we were very satisfied with our stay, and the hotel's location, service, and overall environment made for a pleasant holiday.
Next time we come to Osaka, we will consider staying at Swissotel Nankai Osaka again, as the convenient location and friendly service are highlights that cannot be ignored! 😊
