The museum has four floors of diverse exhibits and interactive experiences.
The career aptitude test is quite interesting. I answered three simple questions and it accurately suggested a career in business software solutions, which is exactly what I've been doing for 20 years. It's a joy to do a job that suits you, do it well, and gain a sense of accomplishment.

🌟Highlights:
The WorldSkills Museum is a four-story, beamless, twin warehouse building constructed in 1921, located beneath the Yangpu Bridge, standing by the river. The west side warehouse retains its cement roughcast façade, while the east side wall is inlaid with silk-screened glass bearing the same pattern. In the future, the well-preserved old factory building on the west side will be transformed into the WorldSkills Museum.

Think Xuhui Riverside is crowded? Then you can take a walk along Yangpu Riverside
📍Yangpu Riverside stretches from Qinhuangdao Wharf to Dinghai Bridge.
🚇【Transportation】
✅Along the way, there are subway stations such as Line 4 Yangshupu Road Station, Line 18 Danyang Road Station, and Line 12 Aiguo Road Station.
✅It is recommended to get off at Danyang Road Station on Line 18, which is close to the riverside and is the Oriental Fisherman's Wharf. You can start from here and head north to kick off a vigorous walk along Yangpu Riverside.
✅You can also walk south to Hongkou Riverside.
🗺️【Route】
➡️Danyang Road Station is very photogenic with its black and white theme. After getting off the subway, you can start with a photo spree.
➡️Oriental Fisherman's Wharf, featuring a seasonal rose wall
➡️Yangpu Riverside Urban Construction Planning Exhibition Hall
➡️Green Hill, a building space transformed from a tobacco warehouse, with many photogenic spots, recommended
➡️World Skills Museum, converted from the century-old Yong'an Warehouse, free admission by appointment, introducing the history of world skills development and the latest trends, with many interactive projects, great for kids' participation.
➡️Yangpu Bridge
After crossing the Yangpu Bridge, you can come out and ride a bike, as there's not much to see along the river. If you want to rack up your step count, please continue your vigorous walk.
Ride to Longchang Road and then turn to the riverside
➡️Yangshupu Power Plant Ruins Park, which has an industrial vibe with large cranes. There is also a One-Foot Garden and Grey Warehouse (this was open before, you could go up, but now it's closed)
➡️Shanghai International Fashion Center, formerly the Seventeenth Cotton Mill, now an urban outlet, where friends can shop for bargains.
✔️If you still have energy, you can turn right over Dinghai Road Bridge and set foot on Fuxing Island to continue exploring.
☕【Food & Drink】
🙃Very few....
📍Starting point: Oriental Fisherman's Wharf is a shopping mall with food and drink
📍Ending point: Shanghai International Fashion Center is an urban outlet with food and drink
In between...
☕Coffee shop: There is one at Green Hill, and there used to be a once-popular 'White Seven Coffee', which is now deserted.
🚶♀️Because it's less crowded, Yangpu Riverside is particularly suitable for walking, running, but cycling is average, due to many ups and downs, unlike the smooth Pudong Riverside.
👌【Midway Expansion】
💡If you get bored walking along Yangpu Riverside, you can take a ferry to Pudong for 2 yuan.
📍Ferry 1 Dandong Road Ferry (near Line 18 Danyang Road Station), opposite is Minsheng Road Ferry, next to it is the 80,000-ton Silo Art Center
📍Ferry 2 Ningguo Road Ferry (near the World Skills Museum), opposite is Xiepu Road Ferry, the famous City of Love is here, but only when the weather is good.

World Skills Museum: A Relaxing Guide for Strolling with Kids
The Skills Museum is a place I eagerly booked and canceled, and then rebooked, going back and forth five times before finally making the trip to take the kids out.
We went on the last day of the extended holiday, April 6th, in the afternoon. I should first say that the exhibition itself is very rich and valuable in terms of display and presentation. However, this article is just to talk about strolling with kids, to provide a reference for all the treasure dads and treasure moms.
Tip number one: If they're too young, just wait a bit
My kid is just 7 years old, in the first grade, and it was clear that I overestimated his interest in this exhibition. Although the museum has four floors, the main exhibitions are concentrated on F2 and F3. The second floor mainly presents the history of the WorldSkills organization, while the third floor talks about the organization's social contributions. Currently, there are three activities available for booking, with very limited spots each day, only 24. We went in the afternoon, and without interactive projects, kids of this age would definitely find it relatively dry.
Tip number two: Green travel allows for enjoying the scenery along the way
We don't drive, we travel green. We got off at Danyang Road on Line 18, and the walk from there is actually a bit of a distance, especially for younger elementary school students, it's a bit far. Although the scenery along the Yangpu riverside is quite nice. But from our house, it's an hour and a half journey, which is overall a bit long.
Tip number three: Bring some snacks to stay calm on the way
If you're coming specifically to see the exhibition, consider bringing some snacks, because the commercial options around the museum are mainly the Oriental Fisherman's Wharf, where dining options are very limited. On the first floor, we saw a Pizza Hut that was more like a food stall, which was astonishing. Other places, many have an average cost of around 300 yuan per person, which is quite unique.

The newly opened World Skills Museum in Shanghai is a free place for children to visit
Under the Yangpu Bridge in Shanghai, a free museum, the World Skills Museum, was opened in November last year. The original warehouse of the Shanghai Yongan Textile Company on the bank of the Huangpu River has now been transformed into a four-story museum, which is quite suitable for parent-child tours. There are many interactive technological facilities that are quite suitable for children. It is easy to be fully booked on weekends, so it is recommended to make a reservation a few days in advance. There is a large underground parking lot at the entrance of the museum, 8 yuan per hour, it is convenient to drive here.
