[2024 Hangzhou Attraction] Travel Guide for Zhejiang Library (Updated Dec)

In 2024, one of my interests is going to exhibitions. The latest group exhibition at the Zhejiang Library, "Perceiving the World I Can Reach," is on the B1 floor of the Zhijiang Pavilion, and it's free! Perceiving everything I can reach is an attitude towards life, a pursuit of endless exploration of a beautiful world. At the Zhejiang Cultural Center, the Zhejiang Museum and the Zhejiang Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum are relatively difficult to book during holidays, so the Zhejiang Literature Museum and the library are relatively free. Sometimes they are very empty, giving a refreshing sense of immersion when entering. 【Zhejiang Literature Museum】There are 9 exhibition halls in total, including 6 themed exhibition halls and 3 temporary exhibition halls, making it the second largest literature museum in China after the Museum of Modern Chinese Literature. It gathers the essence of a thousand years of Zhejiang literature and is a paradise for literature lovers. Whether it's the exhibited history of Zhejiang literature or the special exhibition 'Who is Lu Xun', the multimedia presentations allow visitors to immerse themselves and become engrossed, as if conversing with the writers, fully indulging in the world of literature, and feeling the power and charm of words. 【Zhejiang Library】Everyone who enters the Zhejiang Library's Zhijiang Branch feels as if they've mistakenly walked into a university library, reminiscent of the days spent in the library during their school years. The library's collection covers a wide range of materials, but some large volumes are not for loan. There are many seats and often many available, and as long as the books are not taken out, you can read them at your seat all day. Additionally, the library's basement level recently exhibited a graduation exhibition from the China Academy of Art's School of Intermedia Art. The miniature models of the media performances are initially puzzling, but taking pictures to study the details at home is quite astonishing. If you want to steal half a day of leisure and don't want to get lost in the overcrowded tourist spots, consider immersing yourself in the ocean of books and 'conversing' with the masters for a day, which can be quite rewarding.

🏘Background introduction: The Zhejiang Library University Road Branch is a national key cultural relics protection unit. The words 'Zhejiang Library' in the middle of the door lintel were personally written by Mr. Cai Yuanpei✍️. After four years of renovation, it has recently reopened❤️. The warm sun in winter🌞, the plane tree shadow in front of the door, the red eaves, the tall Roman columns, everything is just right🤏. 📍Specific location: No. 102 University Road, Shangcheng District, Hangzhou 🚇420 meters walk from B1 exit of Wan'an Bridge Subway Station 📖Reading experience: 1⃣️At present, only the first floor area is open, with about 20 desks in total.
