Autumn has arrived 🌰
#autumnbeauty
I spent a lovely autumn day in Trenčianske Teplice, Slovakia, and it was the perfect blend of relaxation and nature! 🍂 The town is known for its thermal baths, so I made sure to visit the famous Zelená Žaba spa. For just around €20, I had access to the outdoor pool and sauna, all set against the stunning backdrop of fall colors in the surrounding hills. The crisp air mixed with the warm water made it a truly rejuvenating experience.
After my spa time, I strolled through the town’s peaceful parks and tree-lined streets, which were even more beautiful with the autumn leaves in full display. Nearby, you can also explore the historic Trenčín Castle, just a short drive away, which offers spectacular views of the region. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape with gorgeous fall scenery, Trenčianske Teplice is a hidden gem in Slovakia!

Poland changes in autumn ⛰️
#fallcolors
Autumn in Poland was a magical experience! I spent most of my time in Kraków, where the streets of the Old Town looked even more charming with the trees turning shades of gold and red. Walking around Rynek Główny, the largest medieval square in Europe, is free, and the colorful autumn backdrop made it feel like I’d stepped into a fairytale.
I also took a trip to Zakopane, nestled in the Tatra Mountains. The hiking trails were covered in fallen leaves, making the scenery absolutely breathtaking. Entry to the Tatra National Park is about 6 PLN (€1.50), and it’s worth every bit for the stunning views. Autumn in Poland is the perfect time to explore both its cities and nature! 🍂🏰🏞️

Autumn in Park Świętokrzyski Poland 🇵🇱
#autumnseason
Just got back from a wonderful autumn day at Park Świętokrzyski in Warsaw, and I have to say, it was absolutely beautiful! 🍁🍂 The park is located right in the heart of the city, next to the iconic Palace of Culture and Science, so it's really easy to find. The best part? There’s no entrance fee, so you can enjoy all the beauty for free! 😍 As soon as I entered, I was greeted by vibrant fall colors—golden yellows, deep reds, and oranges everywhere. The trees were just starting to shed their leaves, creating a soft, colorful carpet on the ground. I loved walking around the winding paths, taking in the crisp air and the lovely scent of autumn. 🌳
There are plenty of benches where you can sit and relax, which I did for a bit, just people-watching and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. There’s also a small pond with ducks and a couple of cute little bridges that are perfect for photos. 📸 If you’re into architecture, the park has some cool sculptures and art installations scattered around that add to its charm. Plus, it’s just a short walk from Nowy Świat street, so I grabbed a coffee to go from one of the nearby cafes and sipped it while exploring.
After my stroll in the park, I headed over to the Palace of Culture and Science to check out the viewing terrace on the 30th floor. It’s only a 10-minute walk away, and the views of Warsaw from up there are just breathtaking! 🏙️ If you have more time, the nearby Złote Tarasy shopping mall is great for some retail therapy or grabbing a bite to eat.

Golden moments in Kamikochi
The highlight of my 1 week trip to Japan is visiting Kamikochi (上高地). It is only open between mid-Apr to mid-Nov every year. You can easily reach here by taking bus or train from Matsumoto.
This is definitely one of the best place to enjoying a nice hike in nature, admiring the autumn leaves and breathing in fresh mountain air. You can choose between several well crafted routes (flat terrains) which may take you between 2-4 hours. The temp in Oct was very cooling at 15-19 degrees and I even had an ice cream at my half way point. 😀
Highly recommend to add this to your Japan itinerary if you visit during autumn.

Shanghai - A city for all travellers
Whether you're into cafe-hopping, cultural monuments or art and design, Shanghai is a city that offers all of the above and much more.
While most visitors flock to the iconic sights like the #pearltower or the Bund, if you have time for a leisurely 1 or 2 hour stroll in your schedule you should definitely check out these areas #citywalk
1) Morning brunch stroll (pics 1-3)
Start your day with an icon visiting Wukang Mansion, Shanghai's counterpart to New York's Flatiron building. You can walk over from Shanghai Jiaotong University metro station, gawk at the building from all angles and then wander down any of the surrounding leafy side streets for a nice brunch at the many cafes dotting the area.
2) Post dinner walk
Shanghai is home to many interesting architectural gems, a stroll down the bustling Huaihai Road shopping area presents a nice contrast of the old and the new.
3) West Bund/Longhua area
This can be a fairly long walk depending on how far down the West Bund stretch you go. The West Bund is less touristy than the main Bund stretch and is home to not only a great riverside park but also many art museums including the 'Oil Can' Museum and the Long Art Museum. About a 20+ min walk away you get a completely different vibe from the famed Longhua Temple, which is popular with devotees all over China. The temple is pretty well organised and in itself would take about 45mins to slowly walk from building to building within the large compound.

Autumn in Cappadocia
#fallvibes
This has been ticked off my bucket list!
Riding in a hot air balloon has been my long time dream and to do it in Cappadocia is like double the excitement!
We had to get up so early to make our way to the location so that we don’t miss the sunrise.
The balloons started lifting off at sunrise and by the time we were in the air, the sky was filled with hundreds of balloons!
It was truly an awesome experience and mesmerizing view!
Seeing all the balloons floating around you is amazing and gorgeous.
It's such a wonderful and beautiful flight.
This was the highlight of our Turkey trip!

Location : 432 Sumogwon-ro, Sang-myeon, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea
I could spend an entire day there to enjoy the serenity and beauty of landscaped gardens bathed in autumn fall colours.
A beautiful place to take a nice long stroll and actually take in the environment and the scent. There are alot of benches around for you to rest.
There were many colorful chrysanthemum flowers, maple leaves, pine trees and many other beautiful flowers.
An amazing place to calm your body and mind. It's called garden of morning calm for a reason.
Pedalling around Gangchon Rail Park
#fallvibes
Location : 1383 Gimyujeong-ro, Sindong-myeon, Chuncheon-si, Gangwon-do, South Korea
Stunning scenery in Autumn time & see the maple leaves in nature with your eyes, feel the gentle breeze blowing in the mountains and awed at the beauty of the countyside.
Enjoy the scenery while pedalling the duo or quad railbike. You will go through various tunnels which were fun and entertaining throughout with a mixture of themes and music. The whole course takes about 45 mins and you will be riding a train for the last leg of the journey.
If you have kids or elderly, be prepared to do more intense pedalling.
Overall, it was a fun activity to do with your friends or family!
Stroll around in Gyeongbokgung Palace in Hanb
#fallvibes
Location : 161 Sajik-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea
Gyeongbokgung is the largest of the former royal palaces of the Choson dynasty in Korea.
The entrance to the palace is free if you wear the Hanbok (traditional Korean dress) which can be rented from any of the shops around.
Hanbok rental cost 15000won for 2 hours and you can add on 4000won if you want the inner to make the skirt pom pom.
It is a great experience to wear the Hanbok and walked around the palace just like in the K-drama and take loads of photos!
Visit during autumn season is the best cos weather is chilly so wearing the Hanbok is comfortable & the sky is clear for pretty pictures!
The palace is beautiful, full of color and huge! Walk further in, away from the main building where it is less crowded and you get more opportunity to take beautiful photos.
Take note that there is a change of the royal guard ceremony at 10am & 2pm which we missed!

A World of Wonder at Seongsan Ilchubong
Our visit to Seongsan Ilchulbong introduced us to another otherworldly beauty that left us captivated. The landscape is so breathtaking that it had people questioning whether the photos we took were genuine or mere stock images cleverly photoshopped with us inside.
While the journey by car from our hotel was quite lengthy, approximately an hour, the rewards were more than worth it. Seongsan Ilchulbong offers visitors two activities to relish: a captivating Haenyeo performance and a hike up the mountain.
In Jeju, a remarkable community of women divers, known as Haenyeo, braves the depths of the sea without the aid of oxygen masks to harvest a variety of seafood, including sea urchins, abalone, and octopus. Although the community has dwindled in size over the years, a dedicated few still pursue this traditional livelihood. At Seongsan Ilchulbong, these extraordinary women put on a daily performance at 2 pm, providing a glimpse into their preparations for diving and demonstrating how they capture marine life near the water's surface (as the water here is not deep enough for actual dives).
Following this, we embarked on a short hike up the mountain, a roughly 50-minute round trip. Despite its brevity, the ascent involved a considerable number of stairs. It's important to note that if you're unaccustomed to climbing stairs or have high blood pressure, it's advisable to forego this particular hike.
In sum, our experience at Seongsan Ilchulbong was nothing short of wonderful and thoroughly enjoyable, leaving an indelible mark on our memories.

Jeju's Natural Marvel - The Oedolgae Rock
#fallvibes
Jeju Island is truly a sight to behold, boasting a mesmerizing beauty that captivated us during our visit. One of the memorable destinations we explored was the Oedolgae Rock. This natural wonder serves as a picturesque photo spot and it also offers trails for trekking.
In Korean, the name "Oedolgae" carries a poetic meaning, signifying a "lone rock pillar." It has an origin that dates back to a volcanic eruption that occurred 150,000 years ago. Beyond its geological significance, Oedolgae is steeped in folklore, telling the tale of an elderly woman who, in her enduring wait for her husband's return, was transformed into this very rock.
Connected to the coast by a scenic coastal pathway, Oedolgae Rock also stands as a prime location for watching the sunset. Our timing couldn't have been better; we arrived in the late afternoon and were fortunate enough to witness the sun's gradual descent beneath the horizon.
Our proximity to Seogwipo made our trip all the more convenient, as it's merely a short 6-minute car ride or a leisurely 22-minute walk from our hotel. The entrance to this tourist destination is free and you can drink in the beauty of this place as many times as you want!

Tranquil Tea Haven: The Beautiful Tea Museum
#fallvibes
We had the pleasure of exploring the Beautiful Tea Museum located in Insadong. This unique establishment offers a diverse selection of teas, ranging from exquisite Korean varieties to Chinese classics. Prices vary, starting from 8,000 won and reaching as high as 50 million won for some exceptionally rare teas (see the photo for the 50 million won tea).
Nestled within a traditional hanok house adorned with wooden furnishings, the museum provides a peaceful atmosphere, making it an ideal escape from the bustling streets of Insadong. Its spacious setting is also conducive for larger groups, as we comfortably accommodated eight people during our visit.
The tea's quality at this place is outstanding. We had the opportunity to sample a few varieties, including Longjing, Korean black tea, Sejak, and Korean Traditional tea. Notably, the Longjing and Korean black tea stood out with their exceptionally robust and delightful aromas, surpassing what you typically find in off-the-shelf teas. Although it might be a bit on the expensive side, the experience and quality make it a worthwhile investment for tea enthusiasts.

The park is a great place for walking. It is very popular during cherry blossom period. During this period of the year (November), it is also a great place to catch fall foliage 🍂🍁
The park mainly consists of walking trails, greenery and benches. The best spot is located in the direction of West Lake from Songpa-daero towards Lotte World. It's a great spot to take photos with the skyscrapers and beautiful lakes in the background!
If you have time, come to the park nearing evening time when the night luminaire is up.
