Sunbird Symbol Unearthed at Jinsha Site Museum
Highlights - Jinsha Site Museum has the sunbird gold sheet artifact, gold mask which is cuter and handsome, and several highly artistic jade ornaments. Large outdoor area with river, trees and flowers suitable for relaxation, locals were seen strolling with their children and babies.
Impressions - While the artifacts in Sanxingdui are surreal and even outrageous thus intriguing, those in Jinsha Site Museum are in my opinion, of elevated artistic values, which can be adopted into the present day culture and lifestyle. That's why the sunbird symbol can be seen in many places in Chengdu and still hold great amount of appeal to the people. The number of artifacts, although very well preserved and intact, are much lesser in numbers than Sanxingdui, so I could take my time strolling by not only the artifacts, but also the idea and hypotheses from the findings. It so happened that I visited the Jinsha Site Museum before Sanxingdui, and I found this to help me understand the content in Sanxingdui much easier than if I hadn't. The museum have less visitors, so I bought the ticket online after arriving.
Getting There - Took line 7 subway to Jinsha Site Museum stop.
Attractions - Historical artifacts unearthed from Jinsha Site. Garden outside the museum.
Language - Chinese language, English.
Recommended duration - 2-3 hrs to half a day.
Enter - I bought my entrance ticket through the trip.com app and enter using my passport.

Prayers, Peace, and History: Discovering Yonghe Gong
Visiting Yonghe Gong (Lama Temple) in Beijing was a fascinating experience. Originally a palace for royalty during the Qing Dynasty, it has since been transformed into a lama temple where many people come to pray. The temple features multiple halls, each dedicated to different aspects of life—luck, fortune, health, love, and more.
We made a quick morning visit, and it was truly serene. With the entrance ticket, you even receive a complimentary praying candle, which adds to the meaningful experience.
One of the highlights for me was the beautiful Ginko tree inside the temple grounds, which adds a touch of natural beauty to the spiritual atmosphere.
This is definitely a must-visit spot in Beijing, whether you’re exploring its history or seeking a moment of peace and reflection.

A Walk Through Imperial Majesty: The Palace Museum Experience
Visiting the Palace Museum in Beijing was an unforgettable experience! The museum is enormous, as it was once the grand palace of the Qing Dynasty. Walking through its sprawling grounds and intricate structures took us over half a day, and every corner felt like stepping back in time.
I particularly loved the iconic red walls contrasted with the vibrant yellow roofs—it’s such a striking and beautiful combination. If you visit during autumn, you’ll be treated to the sight of golden ginkgo trees, adding a magical touch to the already stunning scenery.
A helpful tip: make sure to book your entrance tickets at least seven days in advance to secure your visit. This is a must-see destination for anyone exploring Beijing!

Buddhist statue can talk
Wat Si Chum is located in the Sukhothai Historical Park. Inside the sanctuary it has a large Bhuddist statue which built with Sukhothai art. This temple is the destination of many tourists.
The legend of the Buddhist statue is during Ayutthaya period in King Naresuan. When King Narasuannand his soldiers went to Sawanlok city to fight with the rebels. At that time, his soldiers seem tired and did not want to fight with thai people. With his thought, he made fortune telling ceremony with the Buddhist statue. If we win this time, the Buddhist statue will talk to us. But if not, the Buddhist won't talk. At the end, the Buddhist statue talked to the soldiers, so the soldiers felt better and finally, they won this battle.
In the reality, the buddhist statue did not talk, but one climbed and talked behind the buddhist statue.
