A Day Exploring Airlie Beach
#2024mapped #airliebeach
Exploring Airlie Beach is like stepping into a postcard-perfect paradise. The day started with a stroll along the vibrant lagoon, where locals and travelers lounged in the sun or dipped into the crystal-clear water. The coastal vibe was infectious, and we couldn’t resist wandering further to see what else this charming little town had to offer.
At low tide, we discovered a stretch of exposed seabed that invited us to walk further out into the ocean. It felt like nature was showing off its secrets, with small crabs scuttling around and colorful shells scattered across the wet sand. We found sailing ship that had gotten stranded so at low tide we went it and had a look. It happens to be perfect when the sunset came around.
Airlie Beach was simple, stunning, and full of surprises—a perfect mix of laid-back charm and natural beauty!
Helicopter Views, Boat Vibes, and Whitehaven Bliss!
Had an amazing day on the Whitsunday Islands + Whitehaven Beach + Hill Inlet Day Tour + Flight with OceanRafting from Airlie Beach. Highly recommend it! The pick-up was on time, and we started the day with a scenic helicopter ride over the Great Barrier Reef. I especially loved when the pilot counted down as we approached the Heart Reef—it was breathtaking!
After the flight, we were taken to the water cruise where the fun began with snorkeling. Wet suits, snorkels, fins, and either a noodle foam or life jacket were provided. The crew was so patient, especially with anyone who wasn’t comfortable in the water.
We then enjoyed some thrilling rides between spots with pump-up music blasting—it really added to the excitement! After that, we did a short trek to Hill Inlet, offering stunning views of Whitehaven Beach from three platforms. The different shades of blue were incredible. I spent a bit too much time on the platform and didn’t get to take as many photos at Betty’s Beach, but the white sand and clear waters with fish swimming around were unforgettable!
We had about an hour and a half to enjoy Whitehaven Beach—not as stunning as Betty’s Beach, but the white sands and beautiful surroundings made it perfect. All in all, such a fun and well-organized tour!

Should you visit The Whitsundays?🇦🇺
📍The Whitsundays (Whitehaven Beach), Queensland, Australia
Today we went on a tour of The Whitsundays, located in Australia’s ‘Heart of the Great Barrier Reef’.
What an absolutely breathtaking place - hands down, the BEST beaches I’ve ever seen in my life.
First stop: a snorkel with all the fishes by the incredible coral reefs!
Second stop: Whitehaven beach. The sand was like chalk, it was so white!!
Third stop: Hill Inlet lookout to see the insane swirling sands - I honestly still can’t believe how beautiful this was.
What an amazing day - Australia has totally shocked me with its beauty, so excited to see what else it’ll bring.
