Found an amazing running route in Botanic gardens located in brisbane City. The botanic gardens also runs along the brisbane River which makes the run a very breathtaking, scenic one. Especially in the morning, the park is filled with runners and cyclists with both path specially separated. The city boantic garden is city's orignal garden, there are several attractions to visit like the bamboo Grove with a collection of species of bamboo, cannons, sculptures, ormantel ponds, river frontage and even a fountain for photo taking sessions. Ever since it started 20 years ago in London, the free Saturday morning running event know as parkrun has gone from strength to strength. From its humble beginnings it can now be found in 20 counties in 5 different continents across the globe. The Brighton Marathon weekend is a fantastic festival of running which takes place every April in the South Coast city. The race itself starts in Preston Park before winding around the city centre it then heads onto the coast where you head east for a few miles before heading back west towards Hove. The majority of the race is either along the coast or in the city centre meaning support is on hand for every step of the race, something you might need when it comes to those last few KMs. The finish is just after Brighton’s iconic pier alongside the beach where you can grab a well earned snack and drink on the hopefully sunny beach. In the stadium there is a running track, football pitch, Athletics facilities, bowling alley, tennis courts, table tennis and much more. The cost to use the running track is nothing, but all the other facilities generally need to be booked in advance. Fitfam Shanghai do run morning HIIT workouts on the football field ealry in the morning for free too. Crowded once it is sunset as the office workers from the nearby buildings start milling in to start their jogging routine come here ard 5 to 530pm if you can as the park at night though well-lit can be dark at some sections. 1 round in the park is about 2.5km and the wonderful thing about this place is that its veey convenient as it is so close to silom and 3 bus stops down, u can be at Central world. i had a hearty meal at the nearby pratunam chicken rice across from Central world. in the park itself , if u do not fancy running, there is always a chance to do the swan pedal ride.. though so 80s, its still a hit with the locals and tourists cos its so easy and fun to do. #park #running#jogging
