Bordeaux Museum of Fine Arts 🗺️
During my spring vacation, I visited the Bordeaux Museum of Fine Arts in Bordeaux, France, and it was an incredible experience! 🎨 The museum, located in the heart of the city, boasts an impressive collection of artworks from the Renaissance to contemporary periods. The entrance fee was around €7, which was a steal considering the wealth of art inside. I was particularly captivated by the works of Rubens and Delacroix. Nearby, the beautiful Jardin Public is perfect for a relaxing stroll, and the bustling Place des Quinconces offers great photo opportunities. #BordeauxMuseum #FineArts #ArtLovers #SpringInBordeaux #trip

Jinhua Sports Center - Amazing Design
Sports Center of Jinhua City / The Architectural Design and Research Institute of Zhejiang
Text description provided by the architects. Jinhua City Sports Center is located in the southern second ring road to the north facing the city gate, in the north lies the beautiful scenery of the Lake Water Park, the water floats from southeast, which is virtually the main vein through the city, to form a clear and vivid space axis.
Combined with the project of "sports building" features, the design refined "jump" as the overall design of the theme image, which forms shape and landscape design of the main elements throughout the architectural design to form a beautiful curve and surface, in order to present the cultural image of Jinhua Wu and express the strength and spirit temperament of Sport Buildings.
The plan includes one stadium containing the total seats of 30130, and one gym with 5987 seats, and one swimming pool with 1616 seats. The three main buildings are designed in the layout design like Chinese ”pin”, which forms a central square by centripetal approach. The structure and the site are designed together by two spatial spindles and a circular secondary shaft. On the east side of the main city road, the city is equipped with an open and sunken leisure Plaza facing the city. It combines the green space and the surface of the water to create the main entrance image.

China Wu Opera Grand Theatre-Yanweizhou Park
Yanweizhou Park by Turenscape was awarded as World Landscape of the Year 2015. The wetland in China is now dominated by a colorful bridge and adapts to the monsoon floods.
In the urban heart of Jinhua, a city with a population of over one million, one last piece of natural riparian wetland of more than 64 acres remains undeveloped. Located where the Wuyi River and Yiwu River converge to form Jinhua River, this wetland is called Yanweizhou, meaning “the sparrow tail”. The three rivers divide the densely populated communities in the region. As a result of this inaccessibility, the cultural facilities, including the opera house and the green spaces adjacent to the Yanweizhou, were underutilized. Most of the riparian wetland has been fragmented or destroyed by sand quarries and is now covered with secondary growth.
Due to its monsoon climate, Jinhua suffers from annual flooding. Hard high walls have been built, or were planned to be built, to protect the last patch of riparian wetland (Yanweizhou) from the 20-year and 200-year floods. These floodwalls would create dry parkland above the water, but destroy the lush and dynamic wetland ecosystem. Therefore, we devised a contrasting solution and convinced the city authorities to stop the construction of the concrete floodwall as well as demolish others. Instead, the Yanweizhou Park project “makes friends” with flooding by using a cut-and-fill strategy to balance earthwork and by creating a water-resilient, terraced river embankment that is covered with flood-adapted native vegetation. Floodable pedestrian paths and pavilions are integrated with the planting terraces, which will be closed to the public during the short period of flooding. The floods bring fertile silt that is deposited over the terraces and enriches the growing condition for the tall grasses that are native to the riparian habitat. The terraced embankment will also remediate and filtrate the stormwater from the pavement above. The Yanweizhou Park project showcases a replicable and resilient ecological solution to large-scale flood management.
In addition to the terraced river embankment, the inland area is entirely permeable in order to create a water-resilient landscape through the extensive use of gravel that is re-used material from the site. The gravel is used for the pedestrian areas; the circular bio-swales are integrated with tree planters; and permeable concrete pavement is used for vehicular access routes and parking lots. The inner pond on the inland is designed to encourage river water to infiltrate through gravel layers. This mechanically and biologically improves the water quality to make the water swimmable.
A pedestrian bridge snakes across the rivers, linking the parks along the riverbanks in both the southern and northern city districts, and connecting the city with Yanweizhou Park within the river. The bridge design was inspired by the local tradition of dragon dancing during the Spring Festival.

Wanfo Tower-Pagoda in Jinhua
I have been to many places in China and one of the most common tourist spots are the pagodas or the towers. It has of course something to do with their religion and culture. They also have a very good sens of architecture. When you look at the towers, it just looks so amazing. It does not matter if you are near or far it really looks good.
When i found out about this place I immediately checked this out when I went to Jinhua. Jinhua is just an hour metro or subway ride from Yiwu. The tower overlooks the river. You can just imagin the view and the relaxing place.
I saw some videos of it at night time and it really looks good with the lights on.

Shi Guangnan Music Square - Jinhua
Shi Guangnan (Chinese: 施光南; August 22, 1940 in Chongqing Municipality, China – May 2, 1990) was a Chinese composer, best known for his patriotic and nationalistic songs from the Cultural Revolution era that combined traditional melodies with westernized accompaniment.
This place was designed to remember this person. He must be a very famous composer in China to have a place named after him.
This place is actually huge and the design looks like a mini sydney opera house. I was told ot was more beautiful at night time because of the water fountain and the lights but I an only in Jinhua at daytime.

Xiaoliushi Village - 3D Colored Houses
This village is a MUST SEE when you are in Yiwu. I was only in Xiaoliushi to see and try the glass brideg but then I was able to see those beautiful paintings on the houses. The village was formed or built as to make it as a tourist spot so they painted and colored their houses. Some of the paintings really look good. The people there are very hospitable. They are always smiling and they let you feel welcomed in their village. You can ho around and see the colored houses and also there are fun activities around. There's a place where you can rent a boat. There's a place where kids can play on the sand. There's a place where kids can just jump around a big rubber.
I had lots of fun there! Last, the food is also good!

Palace Museum in Taipei
Located in front of a hill and surrounded by a garden, the Palace Museum stands out with its colourful architecture. It’s a must when you’re in Taipei. I spent an afternoon having looking at paintings and other artworks on display showcasing ancient times and history at every corner. It got a bit crowded after a while, but the museum is so big that you get easily immersed in special effects and interactive features. You can also buy souvenirs from the gift shop there.
Entrance ➡️ There is an entrance fee.
How to go ➡️ I took the MRT(that’s how the metro system is called in Taiwan)to Shilin Station 🚇 and then took bus 🚌 R30. The museum is across from the bus.

Spring festival in Sea world, Shekou

#tigeryear2022
The sea world area of Shekou is my favourite area in all of Shenzhen. It is the most international part of the city and contains many art installations, businesses and things to see, do and eat for locals and international visitors alike.
We visited to see the 3D forbidden palace exhibition in Shekou art exhibition Hall. There are so many good western restaurants nearby.
Many expats choose to live and work in this area of the city and there are many expat oriented groups and activities to take part in.
I would highly recommend visiting this corner of the city if you are in Shenzhen and have the chance.
Big Ben tower clock
London?? Nah!! Its in Macau, the newest attraction in the city, found infront of The Londoner hotel. It has a life-size 96-metre Elizabeth Tower (formerly known as Big Ben) featuring a replica of the famous clock in London.
Big Ben is the nickname for the Great Bell of the striking clock in the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London; the name is often extended to refer to both the clock and the clock tower. The official name of this tower in which Big Ben is located was originally the Clock Tower; it was renamed Elizabeth Tower in 2012 to mark the Diamond Jubilee of Elizabeth II, Queen of the uk. The tower was designed by Augustus Pugin at a neo-Gothic style. When completed in 1859, its clock was the largest and most accurate four-faced striking and chiming clock on the planet. The tower stands 315 ft (96 m) tall, and the climb from ground level to the belfry is 334 steps. Its foundation is square, measuring 39 ft (12 m) on each side. Dials of the clock are 23 feet (7.0 m) in diameter. On 31 May 2009, celebrations were held to mark the tower's 150th anniversary.Big Ben is the biggest of the tower's five bells and weighs 13.5 long tons (13.7 tonnes; 15.1 short tons). It was the biggest bell in the United Kingdom for 23 years. The origin of this bell's nickname is open to question; it might be named after Sir Benjamin Hall, who oversaw its own installation, or heavyweight boxing champion Benjamin Caunt. Four quarter bells chime at 15, 30 and 45 minutes past the hour and just before Big Ben tolls on the hour. The clock uses its first Victorian mechanics, but an electric motor can be applied as a backup. The tower is a British cultural icon recognised all over the world. It is among the most prominent symbols of the uk and parliamentary democracy, and it is often used in the establishing shot of films set in London. The clock tower has been a part of a Grade I listed building since 1970 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. On 21 August 2017, a four-year schedule of renovation works began on the tower, which are to include the addition of a lift. In addition, there are plans to re-glaze and repaint the clock dials. With a few exceptions, such as New Year's Eve and Remembrance Sunday, the bells should be silent until the work is completed in 2021.
