Autumn in Kumamoto: The Aso Pampas Grass Maze
#DomesticTravelRecord
[Susuki Maze] Aso's Susuki spot. A vast area packed with Susuki. It's like a maze, and there's no set route, just endless Susuki. The beige world that makes you feel autumn was beautiful♪ Next to this maze is a roadside station, where we had soft serve ice cream. The soft serve ice cream was rich and delicious♪ A spot you'll want to stop by on your drive! 📍Susuki Maze 〒869-2303 Nishikozono, Aso City, Kumamoto Prefecture Parking: Free

The main spot of the Aso Panorama Line! Kusasenri
#CarTrip
I definitely want to visit Kusasenri Beach on my road trip in Aso.
I decided to go to Kusasenri on my trip to Kumamoto because I wanted to go there.
I definitely want to see this vast scenery that doesn't seem like Japan.
I tried to go there during the three-day weekend in October, but it was the middle day of the weekend and I had to walk 10km to get into the parking lot? There was a huge traffic jam nearby 😭 I gave up that day with tears in my eyes.
The next day was the last day of the weekend, so I didn't get stuck in the traffic jam and was able to go there easily ♪
The horses are allowed to graze after 4pm, so I aimed for that time ♪
The view of sunset ✖️ Mt. Aso ✖️ horses is so magnificent that it feels like it's not Japan 🥹
I've always wanted to see this view since I saw it in a magazine a few years ago.
I was impressed that a place like this really exists.
It was so good that the next day I went horse riding in the daytime😂

A stylish hot spring inn with a view of Mt. Aso! Rooms with open-air baths, free ice cream, drinks, and alcohol
#HotSpringTrip
I stayed at Kokoro no Mama on my trip to Aso. All rooms have a view of Mt. Aso. The maisonette room I stayed in had two hot springs, an indoor bath and an open-air bath. You can see Mt. Aso from the window on the second floor, and you can enjoy the sunrise and the magnificent view of Mt. Aso from the moment you wake up in the morning. The observation deck has a foot bath in the summer, and you can see Mt. Aso from there. Another nice thing is the drink bar in the lobby. In addition to coffee, tea, and juice, they also have alcohol (up to one drink per person) and ice cream, which is all free 🆓 (15:00 to 20:00, 8:00 to 10:00). Ice cream after the hot spring is the best. It is close to tourist spots such as Mt. Aso and Kusasenri, so if you go to Aso, please try staying there ♪ Recommended spot 📍 Kokoro no Mama Address: 5304-1 Kawakage, Minamiaso-mura, Aso-gun, Kumamoto Prefecture 869-1411 Cost: 44,000 yen per night for two people. Recommended points: Rooms with open-air baths, ice cream, drink bar, Mikimoto amenities, ReFa showers ⚠ Note: The drink bar is only available for a limited time, and only for overnight stays, so we recommend bringing your own food or eating outside. There are no restaurants within walking distance.

Let's go buy some delicious soy sauce at Aso Marukichi Soy Sauce in Aso District, Kumamoto Prefecture.
This soy sauce brewery is located in Takamori Town.
The store has a very retro feel, making you feel like you've stepped back into the Showa era. 👍️
However, besides traditional soy sauce, they also have various products, including collaborations with Fist of the North Star, which made it very enjoyable!
