I just love how most places in toba, whether cheap or expensive offer such great views or the lake. The restaurant offers a stunning view of lakeside Toba, making it a beautiful spot to enjoy a meal. But what truly surprised me was the food and service—both were absolutely top-notch. Food is very interesting and incorporates local Batak flavours. We tried their signatures - Iga Sapi Panggang with authentic Batak recipes and it was amazing! The spice, the taste, the meat, everything is perfect. Looking for a one-stop place to run, get food, and lounge afterwards? Visit Jurong Lake Gardens and be amazed by the views and serenity that comes with the park. Dropping by on a Saturday sunset time, I did not expect the park to not be crowded. There were people running, walking their pets and people meeting friends for a picnic but not so much. The atmosphere was exactly made for a lazy afternoon, relaxing. If there was a bit of wind, I would have stayed outside and just watched the sun slowly set. The views from the boardwalk were amazing (featured in the cover photo). After going around, you can drop by Starbucks and get coffee or pastries. The Starbucks here is in cabin style glasshouse so you can see your surroundings turn different colors especially during sunset. I’m also surprised that there are times that this shop has few people, I expected it to be always crowded. I would have spent my time here all the time if I live nearby. I visited Tasik Cermin in Shah Alam recently and it was fabulous. The crystal clear water was like glass, and I could even see my own reflection in it. It was pretty cool! There were a variety of activities to do while there, including swimming, kayaking, boat rides, and even jungle trekking. I went for the jungle trekking and it was definitely worth it, as I got up close to nature and got to see some amazing wildlife along the way. The scenery was lovely and I had a great time exploring. #celebratewithtrip It was very good experience to ride on World’s oldest surviving Steam Locomotive - Puffing Billy in Melbourne, Australia! We booked our tickets online and easy to redeem at their counter. The journey we had was Belgrave to Lakeside. It is advisable to reach there 60 minutes before departure, so you will have plenty of time to look for parking and to queue for redemption physical tickets. Alternatively, it is accessible via train from Southern Cross Station, Melbourne, instead of driving. Sit back and enjoy the authentic heritage steam train experience. It take about an hour to reach Lakeside Station, stop few stations along the way. You could see fairytale scene, those we thought that we only could see in movies. Once you reached Lakeside Station, there is a restaurant for you to have lunch. After lunch, you can take a walk at Emerald Lake Park, it was a good weather during Spring, so windy and sunny! Everyone is aware that Singapore has the macritchie reservoir, upper seletar pierce reservoir and our world renowned botanical Gardens to get upclose with the beautiful plants and flowers and the beautiful birds. But do you know that there is a jurong lake garden located at Yuan Ching Rd which is a big park with lakes, a well pathed track with swamps and forest walk where you can see the many beautiful and weirdly shaped plants here too? The easiest way to get here is via the lake side MRT where at the station you will be already able to see the park which is quite big in size! Probably my last one in Malaysia, at least for now until we visit again. It’s a lakeside park that offers not only a big children playground but also a beautiful lotus pond with a covered by big trees track for cycling and jogging. It’s nice and quiet with fields perfect for picnic too! Our focus is on the children’s playground. There are slides at different heights, spring horses, monkey bars, seasaw, swings etc. Kids pretend it was a castle, running from towers and slides while being spotted. There’s a pavilion next to the playground, but not much benches around (only a pavilion with 2 benches). I suppose they assume people would bring a cloth and sat down for picnic 🧺 time. Kids: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ (kids thought it’s 🥵 hot, we were there in the evening ard 4pm) Mom: ❤️ ❤️ (I agreed with kids, it’s hot, and it’s not shaded, no refreshments and not enough resting area for parents/ guardians) Address: Persiaran Semarak Api, Cyber 4, 63000, Cyberjaya, Selangor Enclosed: Not at all, and across the track is the lotus pond, watch out if you have curious kids, they might slips and fall if too close to it. Refreshment: I didn’t see any permanent shops or stalls but there’s some pop up and motorcycle selling ice creams. Car park: Free of charge Toilet: Public toilet next to carpark but beware of monkey! Margharita Ristorante Italiano Just based northern lakeside , they cook the pizzas in an authentic Italian oven surrounded by clay ( the traditional method ) the dough is so fluffy and the toppings are all fresh ingredients. Lakeside pokhara is the destination to go in Nepal ! It’s such a lovely place to chill out. Nice restaurants near lakeside where you can sit ,have beer and snacks with lakeside view. You can also take boat rides on hourly charges. There's a temple also few meters inside the lake, where you can halt and spend time. Best tourist attraction is Disney land (video above). Wonderful location, with so many different activities on offer . such as - mountain trekking , paragliding , bungee jumping , Rick climbing , white water rafting . The list goes on! Old star restaurant- Located North lakeside ( one before the last restaurant, opposite the lake ) Such a lovely place to eat, or just chill. Always great vibes . Views of the mountains towering over the stunning lake ! This restaurant serves the best food In lakeside in my opinion.I’ve tried a variety off the menu and it’s the cheapest and tastiest !
