💌 I have to confess…
When I first heard about Aveiro my expectations were low. In fact, some friends even discouraged me from visiting this city. But boy, am I glad I didn't listen to them! 🧡💚🩵
Here is why:
📍Aveiro, with its picturesque canals and charming bridges, truly lives up to its nickname. 🌊✨
🛶 One of the must-do activities is the boat tour along the canals, where you can witness the city's Venetian charm and soak in its undeniable allure. 🚤
🚴 For the adventurous souls, don't miss the chance to rent a FREE bike and pedal along the flamingo-lined roads, leading you to the scenic university🦩
💢Just remember to grab a bike before 4pm! 🕘
😋 Aveiro is home to a gastronomic treasure that you simply can't resist: the famous soft eggs sweets (Ovos Moles), a dessert originating from this very place. 🥚🍮
💯explore the city architecture and look for buildings with similar tiles. You will not find it, they are all unique. How amazing is that 🤩

The most spectacular monument in Europe
Plaza de España, Sevilla
1.
Address - Av. Isabel la Católica, 41004 Seville, Spain
Highlights - Flamenco dancers, canal, architecture
Rating - 5/5
The Plaza de España was inaugurated in 1929 as a space for the Ibero-American Exposition of the same year.
Now it’s a spectacle of light and majesty, framed in the Maria Luisa Park.
While the locals mainly visit the park to relax, jog or walk the dog, Plaza de España is mainly visited by tourists (domestic and foreign).
It has become a frequent «ritual» for national visitors to be photographed in front of the space dedicated to their province of Spain with the beautiful decorated tiles.
Under the arches you can usually find local artists, especially Flamenco dancers and singers, typical Sevilla.
And if you’re feeling romantic, you can row a boat in the canal. Bear in mind, it is quite an effort.
TripAdvisor users have rated it as the most spectacular monument in Europe and the second most spectacular in the world.

Stroll down the ancient cobblestone streets, I was Julius Caesar once did and sample foods rich in culture and bursting with Italian flavors. Fresh cheese and handmade pasta, succulent sauces and fresh seafood or just a few of the flavors that make Rome the European food capital of the world. Rome offers such famous landmarks as the Roman Colosseum, Trevi fountain, #romevacation Pantheon and hundreds of other world famous landmarks. It’s always time to come back to Rome.#italy #eurotrip #europeanarchitecture #europe

Palace of Versailles
A first time trip to Paris requires a visit to the Palace of Versailles to learn how French royalty once indulged. There are frequent trains from Paris to Versailles, and then there is a short trek to the palace grounds (recommend to purchase all tickets online). Inside the palace are amazing displays of gold and artwork, showcasing the opulence and wealth of the former French empire. There are also garden tours, which I regrettably didn’t have enough time to explore, so I must leave that on my list of must dos for my next visit to Versailles!

Giant's Causebay incredible rock landscape!
#wecreate
My visit to Giant's Causeway in Ireland during 2019 was a memory that will last me forever.
The natural wonder of the hexagonal basalt columns left me speechless. It was like stepping into a magical landscape from a storybook. The views of the rugged coastline were breathtaking, with crashing waves adding a sense of drama.
Exploring the unique rock formations was like embarking on a thrilling adventure. I was in awe of the forces of nature that shaped this remarkable place.
The visit left me with unforgettable memories and a deep appreciation for the beauty of our planet. Giant's Causeway is a must-see destination for nature lovers and adventurers alike.
To be honest, I cannot really rmemeber how I get there, probably was a tour, but is totally worth it.

Strasbourg
Strasbourg is near the border between France and Germany, so the city offers a very unique blend of both French and German influences, which is reflected in their architecture and cuisine. We spent one day exploring the most iconic sites, which included the Strasbourg Cathedral, the Palais Rohan, la Petit France, and just generally strolling down the medieval streets and popping in and out of the shops and restaurants. I would love to go back to Strasbourg in winter time to visit the world famous Christmas Market!

Castle in Germany
Next destination was Germany, famous for its castles I decided to explore . About 30 mins ride from Frankfurt, I got down at Epstein where I was mesmerized by a magical land. A few minutes and I witnessed Europe’s traditional small town charm and beauty.
Eppstein Castle was built in the 14th and 15 century. Today, the impressive fortification can be experienced throuh a lovely museum that reveals the colourful . Unfortunately it was closed when I was there , however it didn’t stop me from exploring the historical monument right in front of me.

Berlin in Fall is perfect. And Sheraton Berlin Grand Hotel is a good place to stay. Let me tell you why.
Strategically locates in Tiergarten, Sheraton Berlin allows you access and proximity to the touristy Alexanderplatz and other local attractions like Berlin Zoo and The Bradenburger Tor (Brandenburg Gate).

South-Malta on Sunday
On holiday in Malta? Don't forget to visit the south of the island. Iconic places like Blue Grotto and Marsaxlokk cannot be ignored. Take a taxi, rental car or bus and preferably travel to these attractions on Sundays.
There are plenty of fishing villages to be found in Malta, but the main fishing village is undoubtedly Marsaxlokk. A long promenade provides beautiful views of the sea and the colorful fishing boats. These traditional boats are also called Luzzu and are still in daily use. The painted eyes at the front of the boats are striking. They should protect the fishermen.
On Sunday, Marsaxlokk's pressure#staycation barometer will go up. The weekly fish market is then clearly indicated in the agenda of tourists and locals. Even the chefs of famous eateries come here to choose their fish. It is almost impossible to get fresher and local fish restaurants are cleverly responding to this. Do not hesitate and ask for the 'catch of the day'. The catch of the day will be proudly presented to you on a large plate. Something for everyone!

Cologne, a gem in Germany
Cologne is one of the biggest cities in Germany, but is quite often overlooked compared to other places like Berlin. However, I'd say you should definitely put Cologne on your hitlist when visiting Germany, or even as a short getaway from nearby Belgium or Holland.
If you're visiting Cologne on a day trip, chances are you'll be coming by train. As soon as you get out of the station, you'll be greeted by the impressive Dom cathedral. It's one of the most beautiful churches in Europe and is free to visit.
Nearby you can wander around the colorful old town of Altstadt with its medieval houses and quaint brewery pubs, or stroll along the river with the famous iron bridge full of lovers' locks.
If you're looking for something to do with children, why not pay a visit to the chocolate museum. And if you prefer shopping, you can find a plethora of shops in the Neustadt area.

Maastricht: oldest city in Holland
Some people say Nijmegen is the oldest city in Holland, others say its Maastricht. Regardless of that, everyone agrees Maastricht is the most beautiful place in the Netherlands. If you're in Holland you really should pay a visit.
Walking through the small but cozy city centre you almost don't know where to look. There are old buildings everywhere, bridges, churches, cathedrals and the old city walls that used to protect the city.
The Vrijthof square is a favourite location to sit outside with a drink at one of the many bars and just watch the day go by. While you're there have a look inside the 800 year old St Servaas cathedral.
When it comes to food, you will be spoilt for choice, especially for restaurants with a strong French influence. One great place is Harry's near the central train station, which was awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand.

Holland's finest modern art museum
Yes, Amsterdam is famous for its laid back attitude on life - you know what I'm talking about -, but it also has a wide range of world class art museums.
If you've already been to the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh museum, perhaps the Stedelijk Museum is the place for you. It houses a vast collection of modern art with works from renowned artists like Warhol, Picasso, Kusama and Koontz. Though my favourite would be the murals by Dutch artist Karel Appel.
The museum is conveniently located on Museumplein, which you can best reach by tram. Entrance is 20 euro with discounts available for children students.

Chocolate capital of Europe
Though Brussels may not be as pretty as neighbouring Bruges or Antwerp, it certainly makes up for it in cultural heritage.
When you're in downtown Brussels, you can't escape a visit to the unesco world heritage listed Grand Place town square. It is alligned with the most beautiful buildings including the city hall.
Just a stone's throw away from the grand place, you'll find Brussel's most famous resident, 'manneken pis', the statue of the little peeing boy.
Don't forget to walk into a few chocolate shops. You may get to sample some of the world's best chocolates. Other culinary highlights include the many great Belgian beers, the chips with mayo and the incredible waffles.

Don't leave Holland without seeing windmills
Ask anyone what comes to mind when they think of Holland, and it is very likely that "windmills" will be first on their list. Though you can see windmills dotted throughout the country, the absolute best place to see them is at Kinderdijk.
Kinderdijk is a unesco world heritage sight near Rotterdam where you can see a group of 18 different windmills along the banks of the canals. Most of them are actually still inhabited by locals, but two of them can be viewed from the inside.
To walk or cycle around Kinderdijk is free of charge, but you will need to pay a ticket to use the boat and to view the windmills from inside. The easiest way to get to Kinderdijk is by water taxi from Rotterdam.

When I’m on holiday, I love to bask in the sun whilst sipping on a cold beverage whilst soaking up some sun and delicious food!
Well, the pictures do not do this place justice! I was nervous to go there at first given some of the reviews I saw online with people commenting on disappointing food and service. BUT, for my visit everything was great - service was good and attentive and food was delicious!
