We made our inaugural trip to Inner Mongolia in July, which is the best time to visit as the climate is milder then. We arrived in the city of Hohhot, and took a 2h+ drive to Shihua grassland, which is between the city and Baotou. We checked ourselves into one of the many local resorts, whereby we stayed overnight in a modern yurt, which came with airconditioning and a proper bathroom. The resort also provides a wide variety of activities, including house-riding, electric carts and even an amusement park with rides such as bumper cars. The highlight of the stay would be the dinner, whereby we were treated to a whole range of Mongolian cuisine, which largely consisted of lots of lamb and beef. The meats, which were reared locally, were tender and succulent. We ended the night by dancing around a bonfire, under the lights of fireworks. #grassland #100waysoftravel We visited the BOH tea farm located at Sungai Palas and we were truly amazed with lush green tea farmland and grassland giving us a breathtaking scenery. This farmland has a land space of 243 hectares and is the main tea farm for the infamous local tea brand, BOH. It takes around 15 minutes to drive in from the main road and it could be quite challenging to drive in considering the steep and narrow road leading to the tea farm. However, this does not stop us from driving in and it is worth it when you see such a nice lush green scenery in front of you.

#grassland This is Yunshanping, a well known place to visit in Lijiang. Yunshanping is "Wuluyoucuige" in Naxi language, which means the place for lovers die for their love. The background was the Jade mountain but due to the summer rain, it was covered with clouds. Traditional costumes can be rent here. This place also very picturesque, many couples cane for weddings photoshoot. We were fortunate to witness the Miscanthus in full bloom during our visit to Qingtiangang Grassland, located in Yangmingshan National Park, in December. The Miscanthus blossom in Yangmingshan is a beautiful seasonal event that typically occurs from late October to early December. During this time, vast fields of Miscanthus grass (also known as silver grass) bloom, covering the hillsides and creating a sea of soft, silvery-white plumes that sway gently in the wind. It was a trip to Kazan, Russia. This is a great city to explore the region’s natural beauty. We visited Raifa Monastery not only for its historical and spiritual significance but also because it is nestled in beautiful, serene grasslands. Chinggis Khan statue complex has a towering equestrian statue on top and also a museum inside. Getting There - I hired a local guide/ driver to go there, it is about 50km from Ulaanbaatar. Highlights - 1. Equestrian statue of Chinggis Khan This statue is 40m tall made out of steel, and is the tallest equestrian statue in the world. 2. Underground Museum This was a very interesting museum to learn about Mongolian history and culture, such as the different leaders of Mongol empire and where they conquered. 3. Top of the complex observation deck Go all the way up to the too to take a close up photo with the statue, and also get a panoramic view of the vast grasslands around the complex. Simply breathtaking! 4. Hustai National Park is a stunning national park in Mongolia. It has breathtaking landscapes and grasslands and is home to the endangered Przewalski's horses. Getting There - Recommend joining a tour or hiring a driver/guide as the park is way too big and you need the expert navigation skills of locals. Highlights - Firstly, admire the vast grasslands and see the eagles soaring in the perfectly blue sky. You will get to experience the pristine wilderness. Next, the most fun part was driving around trying to spot the endangered Przewalski's horses. But our best attempt was to see them from a distant through binoculars. Also, you will get to see some other wildlife like marmots and vultures in the reserve. Accomodation - You cannot camp within the national park as it is a protected area. But there is a big ger camp at the park entrance. Getting There - Recommend hiring a driver or day tour as the national park is outside Ulaanbaatar city. Attractions - This is honestly one of the most beautiful national parks I have been to. Things to see include Turtle Rock, monastery right at the top gives a perfect panoramic view. The Tuul River also flows through the national park. Accomodations - I think this is a perfect place for camping if you enjoy that. There are tourist camps. After searching online, this place is not on most tour groups or group tour routes. It is also a "niche secret" that has only been discovered in the past few years. This Silk Cypress Road On Line S Is The Most Beautiful Silk Cypress Road We Have Seen In This Trip. Map navigation Agriturismo Baccoleno, when you get to the door, the gate is locked and you can't drive in. The most beautiful shooting point is on the hillside next to it. Go up along the road on the left side of the gate. About 50 meters, cross a small slope, and the most beautiful S-shaped cypress road will appear in front of you. There is also a giant sign of Baccoleno for taking photos. We went there in September, and the harvest has been completed. Compared with the grass growing in spring, it is naturally much worse, but this is the appearance of life. The agricultural affairs change, and the four times are different. Postscript: I took a picture of cypress all the way and saw a Tuscan artist. Andrea Roggi's Cypress was actually moved. Cypress had an indescribable sense of loneliness.
