Shilin Night Market
Shilin Night Market is very large and one of the most famous night markets in Taipei. Although it has a reputation for being more touristy, we decided it was a necessary stop on our first trip to Taiwan. There were several food stalls that had Michelin recommendations, and we ate some delicious cold sesame noodles at one of them. Stinky tofu was another very popular food item. There were also long queues for some of the sausages.

In Taiwan, instead of heading to the many cafes and restaurant, one thing that you should never miss out is the night markets located around the city of taipei. Of course, Shilin Night Market is the night market that both locals and foreigners are well aware off when visiting taipei. Shilin is popular since it is located in the heart of taipei and is located around many schools, therefore attracting the many locals. The prices in the food street here in Shilin are also much lower than the ones sold in the mall and plus, the vendors cook the food fresh right infront of your eyes.
Make sure you come here with an empty stomach, because there is too many stall vendors here and im sure one night wont be able for you to try each and every stall. Shilin market is open everyday and it is located at: No. 101, Jihe Rd, Shilin District, Taipei City, Taiwan 111
Shilin Night Market
Came here after our hike on Yang Ming Shan to get our dinner fix. Hungry as hell we are. We chanced upon this particular Japanese ramen shop which looks pretty good and got the popular feels. There was not much queue at the time we arrived. Only about 5 person ahead of us. After about 10 mins later, a snake had formed behind us and we know we are at the right place. Initially, we wanted to share 1 bowl so we can eat more around the night market later but we then realised during ordering that it is mandatory for each person to order one bowl to dine in. We end up being quite full and so hardly get to snack much later.

Shilin night market
Busy night market in taiwan! The atmosphere was an experience and the street food were really good! We tried the grilled squid, fried milk cube, potato prince and fried chicken! Night market is easily accessible by train. Be prepared to spend at least two hours at the night market. Other than food, there are also games to play where you are able to win soft toys and also many clothes and fashion shops:) #nightmarket #shilinnightmarket #foodie
The Iconic Shilin Night Market, Tapei
I always heard of shilin frid chicken, shilin night Market and finally I had the chance to visit this iconic, well talked about by friends especially those who went to Taiwan for army.
Shilin Night Market is located at No. 101, Jihe Road, Shilin District in Taipei City and is open daily from 4pm till midnight, but I do recommend to come maybe abit later as most of the stalls open closer to dinner time. You will see the crowds start coming in slowly especially when the sunsets and the Market lights comes up! Go for the popular stuff, like your fried chicken, meesua, oyster egg or oyster omelette, potato and cheese and bubble tea.
Oh and also, there is this temple situated right in the middle of shilin night Market, not sure why but I know most people comes here and sit around the area while enjoying the snacks, the temple peeps won't chase you away so don't worry!

The Best Stay Ever!
A trip where we ate a lot, walked a lot, and laughed a lot.
Taiwan, which I had not visited in five years, had undergone tremendous changes, but despite this, it still retained its good qualities and remained the Taiwan that I love.

Shilin Night Market Taipei City 🥘🇨🇳
#chinatrip
Shilin Night Market in Taiwan is often hailed as the biggest and most renowned night market in the country 🌃. You can easily reach it via the Tamsui-Xinyi line at Jiantan Station 🚇. By 6 pm, the market starts bustling with both tourists and locals. This time, I want to highlight the soup stall. Since I visited during winter, the nights were still chilly, making it perfect for trying out the delicious street food 🍲. Shilin is known for its wide variety of items for sale. I indulged in my usual phone accessory shopping spree. So cute and affordable! The prices are quite reasonable. Shilin stays open until around midnight, ideal for night owls like me 🌙.
