Our trip to Taipei, Taiwan, was a blend of nature, culture, and culinary delights, making it a truly unforgettable experience. Despite the rain and chilly weather, we were excited to explore the city and its surrounding attractions.
Yeliu Geopark, where we marveled at the unique rock formations shaped by nature over millennia. From there, we ventured to Shifen where we released sky lanterns, watching them float into the cloudy sky, carrying our wishes and dreams. Next was Jiufen, a charming mountain town with narrow alleyways filled with tea houses and shops.
Next day, we explored Beitou, known for its hot springs and relaxing atmosphere. We visited the Old Train Station, a historical gem, and the Beitou Library, a beautiful eco-friendly building surrounded by nature. The highlight was the Thermal Valley, where we felt the warmth of the steaming waters contrasting with the cold air around us.
In the evening, we headed to Tamsui to catch the sunset. The view was spectacular, with the sun casting a golden glow over the Tamsui River, creating a perfect backdrop for our photos. We also visited the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, a grand monument dedicated to Taiwan's former leader, and Taipei 101, an architectural marvel that offered breathtaking views of the city skyline.Our nights were filled with adventure as we explored Taipei’s famous night markets, Ningxia and Shilin.We indulged in delicious street food, while soaking in the vibrant and lively atmosphere. Ximending is Taipei’s bustling shopping district, was a perfect way to end our journey. The area was alive with neon lights, trendy shops, and street performances, offering a glimpse into the city’s modern and youthful side. Despite the rain in first day, our time in Taipei was filled with warmth and unforgettable memories.
