Where's Albania? This is Albania!
Albania is an incredible country, so easy to travel to many places by bus! I stayed at Bearded Dad Hostel, the best hostel I have ever stayed at and made so many new friends. Many days trips are organized by the hostels, so keep an eye out of that! Seeing of the eyes, I went to Blue Eye at the mountains of Theth in Skoder, that was a beautiful time. A little cold for this time of the year, but so worth it! You can celebrate finishing the hike with a classic shot of Raki ! #albania #tirana #skoder #localguides #trip #instatravel
Day tour in Tirana
A less known Balkan country which in the past few years is a real tourist rising star. Tirana is the capital city and the main getaway to the hiden gems of the rest of Albania.
The main square marks the city center. Everything is on a walking distance: the old mosque 🕌, the orthodox church ⛪, the catholic one are very close. Then you can explore a little bit further the Bunkart 1 and Djati cable car, wich offers you amazing view on the entire city.
Other suggestion is to visit the 360° Sky bar just before the sunset and to make the whole circle 🌇

Historic central hotel
The Hotel International is a comfortable hotel located right at the center of the city. You'll be rewarded with lovely views of the square below and bygone era decorated rooms which add to its allure.
The rooms themselves are cozy but nothing luxurious. They're big enough and like mentioned before have a great view of the city, making it central to most attractions. If coming from the airport, you're a 5 min walk away from the bus stop.
There was also breakfast included and there was a nice selection of food. There's also a nice terrasse which is great to have you out on if the weather is nice.
The staff are also very kind, helpful and professional. A great overall stay!

Roma won’t
Roma won’t forget this stadium any time soon. Mourinho (The Special One) won Roma their first major European title in more than 60 years after a 1-0 win over Feyenoord here earlier in 2022.
Had a good time in Albania. Looks like a small country. The weather was fine when I visited, I doubt it will be the same during winter season. The food was nice. As a big fan of Mojito, I’ll give them 5/10.#tirana #albania #europe #mojito
Creative and eye catching artwork
Tirana’s vibrant murals transform the city into an open-air art gallery, showcasing creativity and cultural expression. Brightly painted facades on buildings feature bold, imaginative designs that blend modern artistry with Albanian heritage. These murals, initiated as part of urban revitalization projects, bring life to once-plain streets. Themes range from abstract patterns to powerful social messages, reflecting the city’s dynamic and evolving spirit. Strolling through Tirana, you’ll discover colorful surprises at every turn, making the city a canvas of inspiration and beauty. #albania #holiday #tirana #art #trip #Travel
A fusion of History and the contemporary
Visiting Bunk’Art in Tirana is a fascinating journey into Albania’s Cold War history and cultural transformation. This underground bunker, once a secret shelter for government officials, is now a museum and art space. As you descend into its labyrinth of tunnels and rooms, you’ll encounter exhibits that explore Albania’s communist past through photographs, artifacts, and immersive installations. The fusion of history and contemporary art creates a unique, thought-provoking experience. Located at the foot of Mount Dajti, it also offers a quiet escape from the city. Bunk’Art is both an educational and artistic highlight, showcasing Albania’s resilience and evolving identity. #tirana #albania #holiday #trip #travel
Such an am
Such an amazing experience. We travel to Tirana and rented a car to Himare (3h by car approximately). Himare is on the cost, the vibe, people are very nice and the beaches are super long and crystal water. #Himare#beach #water #vacation. We stayed in Himare for 3 nights and the last day we stayed in Tirana, the capital, which is full of nice restaurants or cafe. We stroll around the city during the morning. #tirana

Convenient and nice airport hotel
The Best Western at Tirana Airport is a stone's throw away from the airport. Getting there from the airport is a 5 min walk away. I didn't inquire but it appears they also have a free shuttle service in case you have a lot of bags. For me, it was great as my flight was an very early morning one so I could save a lot of time.
The rooms are very spacious and new enough. I found that the toilets were actually very big. The bed was quite comfortable and breakfast was included. If you're leaving early like me, they'll prepare a box for you. For other dining, there's also a restaurant on site, otherwise you can head back to the airport for some other dining options.
The staff were also warm, welcoming and very eager to help you with anything you may need. I definitely recommend this hotel especially if you need to be at the airport early or are coming from a late night flight.
