Wuzhen evening
We took 巴巴快巴 bus from Wulinmen Hangzhou bus station to Wuzhen. It took us around 1.5 hours to arrive in Wuzhen Xizha.
We have bought our ticket in advance at Trip.com. Suggest to come around 12pm so you can have lunch here and start walking around until night.
The facilities here are tourist friendly - at least the toilets are clean.
Food and drinks here are slightly expensive.

Hangzhou | Cosy coffee shop with good special coffee choices
This time in Hangzhou, I made a special trip to Tianmuli, and I absolutely loved it! The office buildings are super modern, and there are plenty of great restaurants and cafes around.
Shanchi's Signature Drink - Qiaomu:
A must-try! The drink has a subtle apple aroma, with hints of honey that add a balanced sweet and tangy flavor—really refreshing.
The cafe offers some unique snacks shaped like traditional Chinese buns, which were both creative and tasty.
If you're into outdoor activities, Shanchi also sells backpacks and small pouches—practical and stylish.

Hangzhou | Brilliant Chinese restaurant in Tianmuli
Last time in Hangzhou, I had an excellent meal at Qiao Village. The restaurant's atmosphere was minimalist and comfortable, with touches of Eastern aesthetics throughout. The staff were very attentive, and the food was served incredibly fast!
The rice cakes were soft and chewy, while the yellow croaker was incredibly tender and flavorful. Returning to China always makes me crave fish—so delicious!
The taste was exceptional, with a subtle peppery aroma. The chicken was stewed to perfection, tender and smooth. The soup was rich and comforting—drink the soup first, then savor the meat. A must-try!
Served with a unique dipping sauce made from foie gras and hazelnuts. The pancakes were crispy and oily without being greasy—an absolute delight.
Shaped like swans, with even the "pebbles" on the plate made of boozy chocolate. A creative and delicious dessert!

Hangzhou | Tasty vegetarian restaurant near Lei Feng Tower
Last time I visited Hangzhou, I went back to Su Chun Zhai, located near Jingci Temple.
Avoid peak dining hours, and you'll find it much less crowded.
The menu has changed since my visit last year, now featuring more seasonal vegetables. The dish names are poetically inspired, like "Seeing a Mountain as a Mountain," adding a touch of Hangzhou's cultural charm.
Furong Tofu:
Flavored with salted egg yolk, this dish beautifully combines the aroma of tofu with the rich, savory taste of the yolk.
Braised Bamboo Shoots and Gluten:
Bamboo shoots in Hangzhou are a must-try wherever you go, and this dish didn’t disappoint. The gluten was soft and flavorful, with a texture reminiscent of beef.
Vegetarian Mixed Noodles:
A single portion is served by default, but you can order an extra serving if you’re still hungry.

Hangzhou | Brilliant modern hotel near the High Tech Zone
I stayed at Hotel Twinkle in Hangzhou this time. It was my first time staying near the High-tech Zone, and the hotel is right next to Xinglanli, which has a lot of food and drink options to choose from. The hotel's location is super convenient. It’s just a 5-7 minute walk from Line 6, and getting to Hangzhou East Railway Station to catch a train back to Shanghai is really easy—direct access. If you're heading to the Olympic Sports Center, the subway takes you there in one stop. It's also a great place to stay if you’re coming to Hangzhou for a concert!
The hotel lobby features an impressive LED screen full of high-tech vibes. Once you take the elevator up, you’ll be greeted by a spacious lobby, and if you sit by the window, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the river.Business travelers will also find this hotel convenient for working.
The lobby’s office area is designed very comfortably with good lighting and plenty of power outlets. It’s a great place to have a coffee and hold a meeting.
For breakfast, I dined at Peach Restaurant, where there’s a wide variety of Chinese breakfast options, as well as a different hot dish every day. I tried some small wontons, freshly made, and they tasted amazing!
The room I stayed in was especially spacious. As you enter, the bathroom is on the left, and the mini-fridge and wardrobe are on the right. Walking further in, you’ll find the bedroom, which also features a desk by the window that can double as a vanity. It was perfect for me to work there, and the room also had a coffee machine and a record player—everything I needed!
The view from the hotel’s terrace at night is breathtaking. Both indoor and outdoor spaces are available, and you can look out at the flow of traffic and the scenery on the Qiantang River in the distance.
It’s a perfect spot to enjoy a drink with friends, chat about life, and make the evening beautiful.Hangzhou

Rumeng Shangtang: A Special Grand Canal Show Loved by All Ages
#chinatrip #hangzhou
Rumeng shantang performance was my absolute favorite activity in Hangzhou, especially as someone who loves song ci. Watching the show from a boat on the ancient Grand Canal was like stepping into a living poem. We journeyed through a thousand years of history, experiencing seven captivating stories, 13 vivid scenes, and meeting iconic figures like Li Yu, Su Shi, and Yue Fei. The poetic charm of the Southern Song Dynasty came alive in every moment, and even my parents were mesmerized! I was thrilled and nervous when I recited poetry with an NPC and even won a small gift. I highly recommend opting for the VIP boat for the best views, interactive moments, and complimentary snacks. Arriving early lets you enjoy the pre-show entertainment.

A Cinematic Escape to Hengdian World Studios and the Enchanting West Lake
#chinatrip #hengdianworldstudios #EliteTravel #hangzhou #travelchina
When I set foot in Hengdian World Studios in Hangzhou, I felt like I had stepped into a world where history and fantasy intertwine seamlessly. Known as the “Hollywood of the East,” this sprawling film set is where cinematic magic comes alive. My personal highlight? The majestic Qin Palace Scenic Area. Walking through its grand halls and courtyards, I couldn’t help but relive iconic scenes from my favorite dramas like The Legend of Qin and Nirvana in Fire. The authenticity and grandeur of the set made me feel as if I had traveled back in time to ancient China.
Hengdian doesn’t stop there; the Dreamlike Valley Scenic Area is a theme park that offers thrills and spectacles. From breathtaking water shows to roller coasters, it’s a place that balances history with pure fun.
After indulging in the cinematic allure, I journeyed to the serene West Lake, the heart of Hangzhou’s beauty. A leisurely boat ride across its tranquil waters, surrounded by weeping willows and mist-covered hills, was nothing short of poetic. Strolling along the Su Causeway, I marveled at the harmony between man and nature that defines this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Tips for Your Visit:
1️⃣ Allocate a full day for Hengdian to fully immerse in its rich history and thrilling attractions.
2️⃣ Visit West Lake at sunrise or sunset for the most magical views.
3️⃣ Don’t miss the chance to try Hangzhou’s local delicacies, like Longjing shrimp and Dongpo pork, to round off the experience.
Citywalk and Hamgzhou's hidden streets and West Lake
The West Lake is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Hangzhou, it is beautiful but also very crowded, especially on weekends.
I would recommend a visit to the southern east side which is a bit less crowded and surrounded by many wide beautiful parks.
not far from that part of the West Lake, you can find a commercial street named GāoYínJiē with many shops full of souvenirs, local snacks, jewelry, and many other things.
It is a nice place to visit for people visiting the city for the first time, especially for tourists new to China.
if you want to spend more time exploring you should search for the streets branching out of that area, you will find lots of little cute cafes, some of them even serve specialty desserts, special coffee and tea blends, and local beer brands.
a perfect place to spend a relaxing day, walking around and exploring the city.

This picturesque lake has a rich history that dates back over 2,000 years, having inspired poets, painters, and travelers throughout Chinese history. Historical records indicate that the lake has been a popular site since the Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD) and became a focal point for imperial gardens during the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279 AD). Three Pools Mirroring the Moon at Hangzhou's West Lake
#parksandgardens
When you think of West Lake in Hangzhou, one of the first images that comes to mind is the "Three Pools Mirroring the Moon." It’s a place that perfectly captures the quiet beauty and serenity of this famous lake. This iconic spot, with its three small stone pagodas standing in the middle of the water, is something everyone visiting Hangzhou should experience.
The story behind this site is simple yet fascinating. The three stone towers were originally built in the 17th century during the Ming Dynasty. They stand about two meters tall and are hollow, with five holes on the upper part of each pagoda. The idea was that during the Mid-Autumn Festival, candles or lanterns could be placed inside them. When the light shines through the holes and hits the water, it creates the illusion of multiple moons reflecting on the lake’s surface. Combined with the real moon hanging above the horizon, the whole scene becomes a dreamlike experience, where nature and man-made structures work together in perfect harmony.
Even if you visit during the day, this spot has a peaceful atmosphere that invites you to slow down and take in the surroundings. The pagodas sit a short distance from the shore, surrounded by calm waters and greenery, making it a great place to reflect (pun intended) on life. You can get to the Three Pools by taking a boat ride across the lake, which is an experience in itself. The gentle breeze on your face, the soft ripples in the water, and the distant mountains all create an almost otherworldly feeling.

Most beautiful lake
The thing I love the most about hangzhou is the nature element. It's got plenty of green spaces, it's fairly pretty in the way it's build, it offers you comforts that other cities will and that there is a stunning lake in the city. You could escape to it anytime of the day.
I have had numerous trips to hangzhou now. What's common is I always make time to stop by the lake. I know it's super crowded and gets very touristy around holidays. But I don't mind some people watching and weird mannerisms. It's all fun. Often I try to think of why I like the idea of staying in hangzhou so much and the lake with it's vibe tends to be a frequent draw. If you are coming to hangzhou. Make sure you check out the lake. And go there knowing it's crowded so you don't disappoint yourself. But spend some time around it. You'll get it.
