Had a weekend getaway at Miri, Sarawak. Small city but lots of stuff to spend time on for 2-3 days. Weather is nice, food is great, reasonable prices. For me personally this is one of the good places in kk town. You have the amazing view of the bay, they have a fair price of beers. As well their food platters aren't bad at all. Also they have live music...I guess it's depending on the day...I had nights when the band was good and I had nights when the band wasn't.. But with good company it doesn't bother so much... Gives you something to agree on and to nag about.. so it's okay... Also they have shisha available for about 25 RM... Overall I really like this place, it's not too posh and it's not too uncle shop either (for the people who don't understand the term... It means simple Chinese food place with very simplistic and roughed looks) And again... The view is spectacular very peaceful Indeed. But that should stop you for visiting Asiatique The Riverfront located at 2194 Chaoren Krung Rd for a beautiful view of the waterfront. Take a photo while standing at the pier overlooking the lights from buildings across, or the several attractions like a modernise junk boat parked there beautifully decorated. Also the many other little shops that sells accessories, clothings and such might interest you. To end of a walk at asiatique is to have dinner via the riverfront! There are several restaurants located at Asiatique The Riverfront. From western like Wine I Love You, to japanese restaurant like Kacha Kacha, or a laid back wine and bar with snacks at Happy Fish but we ended off with a good seafood dinner that is filled with crab meat. From Crab Fried Rice, to Crab Omelette(which was insanely good), to our deep fry soft shell Crab with garlic and of course a side of morning glory(kangkong). I have to say that the price isn't the most affordable in Thailand but for a riverfront dinning and at a place like this, the price is to be expected to be on a higher side! Indeed it was a rather chill romantic dinner with my love one. But of course there are much cheaper options than what we have at Kodang Talay, so you need not worry about not breaking your wallet. The walkway along One Fullerton is one of the best spot to have a spectacular view of MBS, Merlion and CBD buildings. It is located right outside One Fullerton mall.
