Noon: Hanayama Udon 🍜
Starting my day with a visit to Hanayama Udon was the best way to ease into Tokyo’s bustling vibe. This cozy spot serves incredible wide udon noodles. Each slurp felt like a warm hug, just the kind of energy I needed to kickstart my Tokyo adventure. 💖 I also got a side of tempura rice with my meal!
Afternoon: Shibuya Sky 🌆
After strolling through the city, I made my way to Shibuya Sky. There’s no better place to soak in Tokyo's skyline than from the rooftop of Shibuya Scramble Square! Arriving right before sunset, I watched as the golden hour transformed the cityscape, casting soft pinks and oranges over the bustling streets below. The views are absolutely surreal, and as night falls, the twinkling lights of Tokyo create a mesmerizing sight. It’s a moment that makes you fall in love with the city all over again. 🧡🌃
Evening: Manten Sushi 🍣
To wrap up this perfect day, I treated myself to an unforgettable omakase experience at Manten Sushi. This is sushi like no other – fresh, expertly crafted, and bursting with flavor! Each piece was a little work of art, and I enjoyed letting the chef surprise me with his creations. The hilarious chef was definitely the highlight and I got to try over ten dishes! Truly the perfect finale to a day of exploring Tokyo’s vibrant energy and unmatched flavors. 🎌💯

Chill cafe @ Shibuya
Blue bottle cafe in shibuya works for everyone. One of the most beautiful and peaceful locations of this coffee chain. Outside there are benches to sit down but in cold weather might not be a choice for a longer stay.
The coffee and the cake are really nice.
I have stopped by there several times with friends. Food is delicious, coffee is good, tea is special and cookies are just as nice as the rest. I highly recommend sitting outdoors to enjoy the serene greenery of Tokyo.

Top class
There is no shortage of good cafe's and places with similar offerings in shibuya. Having tried several of them over the years, I can confidently say that Fuglen is amongst the consistent and reliabke ones when it comes to coffee. Small and crowded most of the time but their coffee espresso shakerato was good and their cocktails were great as well.
I loved their Affogato, very creamy and rich vanilla ice cream with its expert espresso shot. It did get busier. It seems like a popular place, there were definitely a lot of tourists coming to take pictures of the store front. It's even more gorgeous in the nights and no hassle of ques after 9 pm.

📍 Shibuya Hikarie Sky Lobby ~ there are many options to see Shibuya crossing from above, but some require tickets, reservations or queueing. Avoid all of this by going to the 11th floor Sky Lobby! It’s a bit further away from Magnet or the Starbucks, but it gives an amazing view.
📍 Nintendo Flagship Store at Parco. In fact, there are so many cool stores at Parco. Nintendo just happens to be extra special and has so much incredible merchandise!
📍 Hachiko Statue ~ honouring the most loyal dog in Japan, who waited for his owner to come back for nine years. It can get pretty crowded here and people will line up for a photo.
📍 Miyashita Park was previously a public park but has been transformed into a three storey mall with vibey shops, restaurants and cafes. On the rooftop you can find a starbucks and skate park. It’s a nice place to hang out!

Tokyo, trip of a lifetime. A dream come true
Tokyo was a highlight of 2023 for me as I have wanted to go to Japan for as long as I can remember, getting to finally go was a dream come true. Tokyo is a city famous for it’s food, fashion, culture and of course it’s sprawling size. As the biggest city in the world it is impossible to see everything, but there are definitely some key places to check out if you only have a few days in the city!
Shibuya - The infamous Shibuya scramble is one of the busiest crossroads in the world and has been an iconic setting for countless music videos, TV shows and films. There are many side streets that veer off this great junction and it is one of the best places in the city for exploring if you want independent shops, coffee spots and street food.
Ginza - A more upmarket area of the city known for it’s luxury shopping and department stores, global affordable brands such as H&M, Uniqlo and Zara also have global flagships here. I checked this place out for the shopping, architecture and fine dining.
Tokyo Bay - A fascinating area of the city with a mix of museums, malls and attractions such as Tokyo Disney, Disneysea and team labs Tokyo. The best way to see this interesting area is the metro line as it is fully above ground, like a monorail it snakes around the bay enabling you to see everything the area has to offer.
Ueno Park - Houses the Tokyo national museum and the Tokyo Zoo, worth checking out as their collection of Asian artifacts is genuinely astounding.
Other highlights include Tokyo Station, Shinjuku, Tokyo Skytree and the Tokyo tower. I would advise around 5 days in Tokyo to cover the main sights. I will definitely be heading back in 2024 to check out more of this fascinating city.

Shibuya Streets, a visual wonderland in Tokyo
Shibuya is famous all around the world for it’s iconic crosswalk, it has been used in countless movies, Tv shows and music videos and has made the district a tourist hotspot. However it overshadows the greater Shibuya district which is one of the best places in the city for fashion, food and coffee. There are huge shopping malls with every brand you can think of but also small streets of independant stores like Cat Street, my favourite place to shop that I found in Tokyo.
Head for Cat street for some shopping then wander down the side streets to really see how cool this area is, there are lots of smaller shops and restaurants on these streets and you can really understand why Tokyo is famous for fashion. I found so many nice things that I’ve never been able to find in chain stores, especially shoes and accessories - a great place to top up your wardrobe!
As a caffeine addict it was also my favourite place in Tokyo for coffee and pastries, so many smaller stores offering unique roasts and coffee blends - if you like coffee you have to check out this area!
Head to Shibuya station, check out the scramble crossing then explore!

A small cafe located at the entrance of Meiji Shrine, a famous shrine in Tokyo where people like to come to pray.
If you come to visit Tokyo and walk around Harajuku, I recommend you to check in here. The view is beautiful and unique. Especially on a cold day, sitting and sipping on a warm cup of coffee is definitely great.

🚅 How to get there
- Take the Metro and get off at Harajuku Station. Walk for about 2 minutes and you will find the entrance to Morino Terrace Cafe.
From the cafe, you can walk to the shrine by entering through the torii gate. Walk along the path and you will see various photo spots such as sake barrels and many beautiful trees.

Amazing night view in Shibuya sky

Shibuya sky, located in Shibuya Scramble Square, is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Tokyo. It is approximately 230 meters above the ground, and you can easily see places such as Tokyo Tower and Tokyo Stadium, and you can also watch the Shibuya Crossing, the most crowded street in the world, from above. I came here in the evening, after waiting in line for about 20-30 minutes, I went up to the rooftop and enjoyed the magnificent view. It is definitely one of the places you should visit in Tokyo. The entrance fee is 2000 yen for an adult.

MEGA DON QUIJOTE IN SHIBUYA
BRING YOUR LUGGAGE if your buying to fill your luggage! hahahaha ‘cos that’s what we did! And we can park our luggage in the train station’s locker to have lunch and walk around.
Take note that some of the items (if not, most) are quite $$$ compared to other drug stores and hardware stores out in tokyo. So make sure to do your research!
On a side note, best for tourists as there is tax refund! Located up on the 7th floor. DO COME EARLY (before 10am) to avoid the crowd!

Shibuya sky is an oper-air observation deck located on the roof of the Shibuya Scramble Square skyscraper. There are many lockers inside where you keep your things.
I recommend buying tickets weeks ahead as they are always sold out, especially during holidays. Ticket fee is 2,200 yen, but you can have a drink with a higher fee.
Buying tickets online is also a bit cheaper.

Cherry Blossom Street in Shibuya Tokyo 🇯🇵
A sky of cherry blossoms 🌸 Shibuya Cherry Blossom Street (渋谷桜丘町) is one of the most easiest accessible places in Tokyo to see cherry blossoms, just 3-minute walk from Shibuya station. It’a about 100 meters long but the cherry blossom trees line in the both sides of the street and the beautiful lanterns give it a very special look.
Buying yourself a cup of coffe, then walk on the sidewalk of that narrow street, watching the cherry blossom branches hanging down over the street and the petals blowing in the wind like snow could be a perfect way to enjoy the beauty there🥰🌸✨ The illumination there is beautiful too so if you love seeing the cherry blossoms with the illumination, the evening would be ideal time✨

Japan trip: Feb 1st ~ 18th
First time visiting Japan!
I landed at #tokyo Narita Airport (Feb 1st) which had a rough landing but nevertheless started with a good time and visited areas such as #akihabara, #shibuya and #shinjuku for the first few days.
It still doesn't seem real to me that I get to experience a trip in a different country so I am so greatful that I could have a chance to have a trip like this!

Tokyo is one of my favourite cities to visit. It has so many places where you can go and enjoy your time while you’re there. The food is amazing, the place is clean, the public transportations are one of a kind (never late!) Many beautiful places to go to!
I went to all the places around Tokyo either on foot or by trains. Very accessible and totally organized! The pictures were taken from Odaiba, Asakusa shrine, Tokyo zoo, Akihabara, Shibuya and Shinjuku.

My dream of coming to Shibuya Tokyo started when I was 12 years old after watching the anime Super Gals and reading its manga, Gals! By Mihona Fujii.
After almost two decades I got the chance to travel to Japan and one my iterenary for my trip was to visit Shibuya.
After having photos with the world's most loyal dog, Hachiko, you can spend your time taking photos and videos in Shibuya Crossing. Just be wary of the hundreds or even thousands of people crossing the street and don't forget to wear your perfect outfit for memorable photos.
The truth is, Shibuya Crossing is the strangest tourist attraction I have visited, after all, it's only a pedestrian crossing. Seeing this world-renown street really was everything I expected it to be. Tons and tons of lights, people everywhere, and plenty of spots to film and take pictures. And everyone obeys the light! Japanese people are very respectful about traffic signs.
The Starbucks of course is the most popular thing in the area and you’ll likely cross this area if you plan on doing some shopping at some point in your trip.
You can also try Japanese food specialities with the help of a guide to translate menus. You can try eat Sushi, Okonomiyaki and anything.
Bottom line, Shibuya is Great choice for a first-time Tokyo visitor to learn about food and culture.

Mainly the claws and fists of lobsters sent directly from Maine, a famous lobster production area, are used for simple seasoning. You can enjoy the deliciousness of the lobster itself.

Ambiance/Facilities - pick up outlet but there are also some ‘boxes’ for you to sit around.

For some reason ✨

This time we have a limited time Summer Afternoon Tea ♪ 🍰
As soon as it appeared from the sweets stand and the tension rose with "Cute !! 😍", sweets on a flower plate also appeared, and I was completely overwhelmed by the cuteness 🥺 lol
Mille crêpes had macaroons, eclairs, and lots of sweets I liked, so I was wondering what to eat 🤤
Because it's summer ver., There are some sweets that use mango and melon, and some sweets such as jelly and lemon, so I ate deliciously from the beginning to the end! !! 😋
And there was only a French restaurant, so the hamburgers and sandwiches on the putty were really delicious ♪
