Monkeying Around in Paradise: Exploring Nha Trang's Wild Side!
Venture out a little further from Nha Trang center to experience a fun adventure! Monkey Island in Nha Trang is a unique destination offering a mix of adventure, nature, and wildlife.
Accessible via a short boat ride, the island is home to a large population of monkeys, which are the main attraction. Visitors can interact with these playful creatures, feed them, and observe their natural behaviors in a semi-wild environment.
You will need to get a ride from Nha Trang center to Long Phu ferry terminal (Bến tàu du lịch Long Phú on Google Maps) which is about 25 minutes by car. At the terminal, you can buy the tickets for the ferry, or you can even buy the tickets online. For the entrance and ferry, it is about 180,000vnd for an adult.
Apart from the monkeys, Monkey Island offers beautiful beaches where visitors can relax, swim, and enjoy water sports such as snorkeling and jet ski. The island also features a nice walking path and hiking trails for those interested in exploring its natural beauty.
However, it's important to note that while interactions with the monkeys can be entertaining, visitors should exercise caution and adhere to any guidelines provided by the staff to ensure both their safety and the well-being of the animals.
Overall, Monkey Island provides a fun and memorable experience for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike, offering a chance to get up close and personal with wildlife in a stunning tropical setting.

The forest of the mischievous monkeys
The Monkey Forest in Bali is a lush sanctuary located in the town of Ubud. It's home to over 700 Balinese long-tailed macaques who roam freely among the dense trees and ancient temples. Visitors can observe these playful monkeys up close, but caution is advised as they are known to be mischievous and may attempt to snatch belongings. The forest also features moss-covered stone statues, serene pathways, and a tranquil atmosphere, making it a popular tourist destination for nature lovers and cultural enthusiasts alike.#Indonesia #Bali #Ubud #trip #travel #Monkey
White Sand! Blue Lagoon! Monkey! Bamboo Raft!
My girlfriend and I recently took a trip away from the main island of Ko Samui, and did a day tour to the outside islands and it was an unforgettable experience. We took a day trip to another island Ko Pha Ngan and also to Ang Thong National Marine Park, which has the Blue Lagoon (Emerald Lake) Both of which were absolutely stunning and should be protected at all costs.
We first started the trip to Pha Ngan and the views there were incredible. The beaches were white sand and the water was crystal clear. We were able to snorkel and see all the wild sea life swimming around the shallow water. We spent most of the time swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing. Not to mention taking beautiful photos as there were many view points.
After that, we had our lunch and made our way to our final destination and little did I know, Ang thong would be one of the most unforgettable places I would visit. Ang Thong National Marine Park was even more beautiful than Ko Pha Ngan.
The islands were limestone and the water was a deep blue, and we were able to do bamboo rafting around the island through the caves and if you were daring you could even raft further into the ocean! What an amazing experience! We were able to see cavesand waterfalls, and hidden lagoons. After rafting, we entered the national park and were blown away by the view of the Blue Lagoon… words can’t describe what we saw. Not only that, as we were exploring even see a Dusky Leaf Monkey in the trees! This was my absolute favorite moment, especially knowing how rare it was to even see one and it was just sitting there watching us. After that, we came down from the park and relaxed at the beach and made our way home.
It was fun filled day and even though we were exhausted by the end, it was an amazing experience and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for an adventurous, yet relaxing vacation.
Here are some tips for your trip:
Go during the dry season (November to April) for the best weather.
Bring sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses, water poof bag.
Please be respectful to the locals and the protection of the area.

Monkey 🙈 Bay
Monkey Bay is a popular spot on Phi Phi Don Island. It's a small cove, very similar to Monkey Beach apart from the sand, which is thicker and bright yellow.
A superb coral reef lies some 50 metres from the beach, offering memorable snorkelling opportunities.
The best way to reach Monkey Bay is by hiring a long-tail boat or by paddling your own sea kayak, which will take you a good 30 minutes.
Monkey Bay in Phi Phi Island is one of the best place to practice Snorkelling.

Should you visit Ao Nang, Krabi Thailand?🇹🇭
Ao Nang, Krabi📍
5 Nights in Krabi! Krabi was one of the places in Thailand that I was excited for, but it didn’t really meet our expectations. Similar to Koh Samui, Ao Nang felt totally full of tourists and completely dedicated to tourists.
One of my biggest hates is when people try and beckon you into their restaurant or shop😂and you just could not walk anywhere without someone shouting ‘tuk tuk’ or ‘hungry?? Please have lunch at our restaurant?!?’ - totally not what I’m seeking when travelling.
Nevertheless, we did some really good shopping in Ao Nang & a nice trip to Railay Beach.
I think it’s just made us realise that we aren’t into places that are extremely popular with tourists, especially when we aren’t much into partying or drinking🤷🏻♀️

A TRIP AROUND THE PHI PHI ISLANDS, MAYA BAY!
Koh Phi Phi📍
We day-tripped from Koh Lanta to the Phi Phi Islands to explore the top tourist spots.
Maya Bay was our first stop & we had heard lots of negativity about it not meeting expectations. So our expectations were pretty low. Yes, there were crowds upon crowds of tourists. And yes, the toilets made me heave multiple times. However, the beach truly is beautiful. And the sand is so white and so so soft.
Next, we went to Viking Bay - I found it interesting that this is where they harvest bird nests to make traditional Chinese soup?! How random.
We snorkelled nearby & I’ve never snorkelled before. For my first experience, it surely was a frightening one😂 Firstly, I couldn’t get my snorkel to work. Constant mouthfuls of water & waves hitting me in the face. Finally, when I could breath & actually see what was beneath me, I instantly regretted it. Two Blacktip Reef Sharks in the water below. I have Ellie telling me that there were trigger fish in the water (not nice fish) & also saying that there was a barracuda (it was not, in fact, a barracuda). So, the entire time, I was freaking out :) After the second shark sighting, it was a fast swim back to the
boat.
We then headed to the main part of Phi Phi, Phi Phi Don, to have some lunch and look around shops- there was a lovely Burger King & McDonald’s facing eachother👯♀️
Finally, we went to Bamboo Island where we swam in the crystal clear water & had the absolute best time. I think Bamboo Island has the best water we’ve ever swam in.
Overall, we had such a fun day exploring Phi Phi & we are so glad that we just did a day trip, instead of staying on the super party island!

The Mandala Suci Wenara Wana, also known as the sacred monkey forest sanctuary is one of the most popular attractions in Ubud.
The scenery is beautiful, surrounded by temples, greenery and monkeys. It is possible to feed the monkeys in specific spots accompanied by the staff, also take a selfie with them but be aware of your belongings and don’t carry food on your own because they will try to get it.
In case you drive a car or ride a motorbike to the spot there is a parking, but the price isn’t included in the entrance fee. You will need to pay according to the hours that you spend in the attraction.
Admission fee: 80000 IDR

Woburn Car Safari - Perfect for animal lovers
Woburn Safari located in Bedford is the perfect day out for people of any age. This was one of my best day outs in the UK. If your someone who enjoys zoos then this is a must do as this experience is surreal. The park has many animals such as, giraffes, kangaroos, lions, tigers, monkeys, hippos and many more. you would never get this close to these animals and just seeing them at such a close distance is mesmerising. While we were driving around the park and entered the monkeys area various monkeys got onto a car a hitched a ride. No matter what you do not open your windows and you will be fine, many people are scared of car safaris thinking the annals will damage their car but this is not the case.
The park offers a lake where you can rent a pedal boat and go for a ride which was a nice way to end the day. There is also a restaurant available on site offering hot meals, sandwiches, snacks, and drinks. The restaurant is reasonably priced, two people can eat for under £15 which was surprising.
This day out is perfect for couples, families with kids, friends animal lovers.

Wilson Trail Section 7 Monkeys Boars Oxen
To get there: MTR to Tsuen Wan station (exit B), and take the walkway to Shiu Wo Street. Take green minibus no 82, and get off at Pineapple Dam. Turn right and walk on the shores of Jubilee Reservoir, and cross the main dam and turn left. The first Wilson trailhead map is there.
To get back: eventually trail will meet a little village area road and you will see the 23k bus coming by. just hop on to get back to MTR.
I loved this section because of the wild life and the lovely reservoir. Right after beginning the trail I ran across a whole family of wild boars trying to cross the path, but I only got the tail end of it on camera because I was surprised. There was a lot of monkeys in certain areas, and they seem to stake out the picnic areas looking for scraps. I’ve been told not to get to close or they’d take my phone, so only got a few distance shots. The random ox was a weird shock, must have belongs to someone living in the area. #mountain #trail #wildlife #monkey
Puerto Princesa, Palawan Underground River
1.
Address - Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines
Highlights - Longest navigable subterranean river in the world (5mi). Set in a limestone mountain surrounded by beautiful rock formations, picturesque cyan-blue waters, and dense jungles. A small trek down a trail leads to the entrance of the cave and along the way long-tailed Macaques greet you from the jungle’s edges. Most are just curious and will sit for pictures, but be careful with your belongings as some can be thieves!

Monkey Hill - Phuket
Monkey Hill is known as Toh Sae Hill, it is the highest hill in Phuket town.
There are about 400 macaques living on the hill and they live in little groups all over the hill.
There are very different feedbacks about this place. Some people have got bad experience with monkeys biting them, but as for me it was a great experience watching these funny animals. They are pretty kind to you as long as you are nice to them! If you don’t want to get bitten NEVER touch/reach out to them! Let them come to you! Also treat them well, don’t shout, don’t tease the monkeys, don’t try to do anything bad to them and you will have a positive experience on the Monkey Hill.
That hill is literally the monkeys home, and for us as tourists/guests we need to respect them and their home. I love these animals!!!

Climbing Up A Rainbow
#travelanywhere #malaysia #batucaves #colourful #stairs #tourism #hindutemple #monkey
A must visit if you are in or near Kuala Lumpur. You can see the colourful stairs and the huge statue even before you arrive.
Going early in the day is definitely recommended if you want to escape the heat of the midday sun. Entrance is free but if you are driving your own vehicle and would like to park inside their parking lot there’s a small fee.
Once there, walk around, go inside the Hindu temple before climbing up the stairs. Do be wary of monkeys if you bring your own stuff, especially food or water as they might sneak up on you and grab your stuff.
Monkey Island and they swim to you !
It is a mini island in the dam that you can access by boat only.
It is located in Kankrachan Dam, Petchaburi, Thailand.#thailand #monkey
One we park the boat near the shore, the monkeys will coming. Then we can trow food in a water, and monkeys will swim and collect it.
The monkeys are harmless and they would not come too close to the boat. I think it was such a unique experience.
The boat trip takes around 45-60 mins depending. The cost should be around 700-800 Baht.
You can buy the money food on the boat directly for 1 bag/100 Baht.

Large pink lips monkey
The monkeys you'd find in Shangri-La, China are most likely the Yunnan snub-nosed monkeys. These rare primates were only discovered in the 1960s and are known for their unique features like tiny upturned noses, large pink lips, and hauntingly beautiful almond eyes.

#cherryblossom2024
This is a moment during a family trip to Langkawi Island. Family trip is the most beautiful trip and the most unforgettable. A few years ago there was a lack of budget and facilities to go on vacation with family🤲, but now when everything is stable, we also lack time with family because all siblings have grown up, have families and far away🥹. So when there is an appropriate time, spend time with your family before it becomes a regret. In conjunction with cherryblossom, I hope I can spend more time with my beloved family so that the memories created are as beautiful as cherryblossom#familytrip #Langkawi #Flower #Sunset #Monkey #Island #historicallandmarks
Monkey forest Ubud
An incredible experience that shouldn't be missed when in Ubud. Despite the warnings about aggressive monkeys in the reviews, we found them surprisingly nonchalant as they passed within inches of us. Ironically, the only incident of 'bag snatching' we witnessed occurred just outside the enclosure, where a passing shopper lost her bright red bag to a mischievous monkey. We visited late in the day, close to 5pm, and found the monkeys very relaxed, as evidenced by my photos, seemingly ready for sleep.
Entrance is 80,000 Rupiah per person on weekdays, though I understand it's more on weekends. In my opinion, it's worth every Rupiah; the expansive and magnificent grounds alone justify the cost. You could easily spend hours there. Highly recommended.#Monkey #bali #indonesia

No Flying Monkees Yet!
There are monkees here in Ubud, Bali - in the culture, Hindu past, a whole monkey forest and in the signage. We look for flora and fauna, but it being Christmas time, I guess it was inevitable that there would be coconut monkey Santas! hahaha hohoho hihihi
Meanwhile, it's fresh juice and fruit daily.

Monkey Business Bali Style
In Ubud there is a Monkey Forest filled with all that the name implies. Around town are lots more fun - even comical sights. Lots of birds too as you walk thru rice paddy - Bali ducks, temple doves and Crown Pigeons that shrill their wings in flight.
Hindu symbols specific to Bali are prolific - Candi Bentar, Penjur Poles, Swastika (prosperity), bija, gebogan and Canang Sari
