Last Christmas we went to Doi Inthanon national park in Chang Mai Thailand. The highest peak in thailand with nice scenery view of mountains with beautiful garden of flowers and trees, this temple built for the late King number 9 and Queen. The second place that we went is the white temple in Chiang Rai Thailand, this temple is iconic in thailand and unique because of this whole white colored temple from the roof to the floor, they also have a blue temple just a couple of kilometers away. The third that we visited was a resort in Hua Hin Cha-am thailand. The Central Market officially opened after renovation this year. The building maintains its original structure, but the inside is completely new. The ground floor is the food court and small supermarket, and the floor connected to the footbridge also has many small shops buying Hong Kong specialty snacks and some nostalgic goods. When everyone says “don’t go, it’s out of season” that’s normally a sign that there’s something awesome being hidden away and that is true of Inner Mongolia. No, the grasslands weren’t green in April- but the lands were empty, like completely empty. That made it perfect for just venturing out and exploring without having to fight your way through crowds. Oh, and if you’re like me and much prefer the winter vibes and want to escape the heat then there’s no better place. China’s pyramids: the mausoleum of Western Xia Dynasty in Ningxia Autnomous Region (notice the “xia” in “Ningxia”? The latter referred to the Middle Kingdom’s efforts to conquer and pacify this region) The view is fantastic and the hike isn‘t too exhausting. I wouldn‘t recommend this hike if you have a fear of spiders, though. Once you go into the forest, there are spiders everywhere you look. We went in the morning and had planned to go to Nature Playground - a very unique playground with a water play area (wasn’t working at the time unfortunately), rubber paved hills with a wall climbing apparatus, balls, long slide, swings, net-type climbing structures, and musical type structures off to the side. Walking paths around the park are great. We took a break and had a snack near the family duck pond. The various gardens are all attached and shaded just a short distance from Nature Playground. Plenty of parking available although I’m sure that would be different if there were events going on. Bathrooms near the duck pond were frequently cleaned. The pavilion has 3 levels of art galleries. It was a nice quiet place to cool off during the heat. Kids and adults enjoyed it. The Central Station immediately has a wow factor for those arriving by train in Antwerp. The impressive building was built between 1899 and 1905 according to a design by the architects Louis Delacenserie and Charles Poupaert in an eclectic style. It is in fact already the third station on this spot after the previous two were demolished. Originally it was a terminus where all trains had to turn in their direction of travel.
