Chasing Dolphins at Lovina Beach: A Sunrise Adventure
#animalcontact #bali #wonderfulindonesia #localtour
#100waysoftravel #sunriseview
📍 Itinerary & Sightseeing:
Our day at Lovina Beach began with an early morning boat ride in a traditional jukung, heading out to sea just as the first light of dawn appeared. As we quietly floated over the calm waters, dolphins surfaced, leaping and playing alongside the boat—a truly magical sight! The experience of watching dolphins in their natural habitat, combined with the peaceful sunrise, was a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
📷 Photo Spots:
The sunrise was breathtaking, casting golden and pink hues across the sky and reflecting on the water. Capturing the dolphins against this backdrop created stunning, postcard-worthy photos.
🍜 Local Cuisine:
After our dolphin-watching adventure, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast at a local café. The nasi campur, a classic Balinese dish with rice, meat, and sambal, was the perfect way to fuel up after an exciting morning on the water.
💡 Tips:
• Apply sunscreen: Even early in the morning, the sun can be strong on the open sea.
• Book through Trip.com: This ensures a hassle-free experience with reputable local tours.
bandung trip highlight : ranca upas! (family friendly)
Deer Park @ Ranca Upas Escape
We had an amazing time at Ranca Upas feeding the open-range deer. Carrots were sold in baskets for 20k each. We bought three baskets at first, but it wasn’t enough, so we ended up getting more. The highlight was spotting a fawn that seemed to be off to the side. My kids made sure to give it extra food, thinking it needed more attention.
The chilly weather added to the experience, making it a refreshing outing. The interactive nature of feeding the deer up close was a unique experience, especially for the kids. It’s definitely a great spot for families looking for an outdoor adventure. Highly recommend! #septembertoremember #rancaupas #bandungtour #familyfriendlyfun #babyfriendly #wonderfulindonesia
Visiting Thousand Islands in Jakarta
#100waysoftravel
“Kepulauan Seribu” means Thousand Islands, the name given to the many tropical islands scattered in the Bay of Jakarta.
However it is said that there are exactly 110 islands only, that encompasses the Pulau Seribu National Marine Park in the province of Jakarta.
This cluster of islands is a pretty great getaway to top up your Vitamin Sea and these islands ranges from a mere half-hour to a three hours’ boat ride from the north coast of the capital city.
My Indonesian friends, Malaysian close friends and I chartered a private boat from Tangerang fishing village to three of the islands - Pulau Payung, Pulau Ayer and Pulau Payung Kecil and had an amazing time there… (it was fascinating seeing how murky swamp water from the fishing village in the swamps eventually change to be crystal clear water )

The Gates Of Heaven - For Real?
Lempuyang Temple's Gates of Heaven - Karangasem, Indonesia!
The temple is famous for its iconic split gate entrance, known as the 'Gates of Heaven.' The gates offer a mesmerizing panoramic view of Mount Agung, Bali's highest and most sacred volcano, creating a picture-perfect setting for visitors and photographers. This temple is not only one of Bali’s most treasured Instagram photo spots, but it is also considered one of the island’s oldest and most sacred temples.
The gates are undeniably impressive, and the lines of people stunned us. We waited for at least 2 hours for our chance to reach the gates. The dreamy aesthetics are created using photo trickery with a mirror to get that epic reflection shot. There is a whole team at work, which we guess is necessary to manage that many people.
